The rooms were renovated
“Breakfast included” is only waffles. No sheets were provided for the sofa bed. Room service doesn’t come to clean during your stay.

Only the location, it was perfect for my stay.
Staff sometimes missing in action when needed at the desk. Bed frame/base is horrible metal, bed is too high, especially for someone with arthritic hips as myself trying to get onto the bed
TV remote missing battery cover
Telephone was not working, even brought it to the Mgr’s attention, it was never repaired
STRONGLY suggest a higher toilet.. 17” is ideal, also especially for someone with arthritic hips
Water temp is great, pressure is horrible
Breakfast is lacking, no bagels, toast, muffins, the coffee is TERRIBLE, web site says free HOT breakfast: I guess a HOT WAFFLE constitutes as the HOT breakfast.
The fire sprinkler head in the entry way is still covered with blue painter’s tape
Housekeeping is “ok” I guess, found a dead fly on the floor of my room along with other debris that wasn’t swept up
No luggage rack
No blow dryer
Noisy guests on second floor above mine, 3 AM kids "bouncing off the walls." Couldn't call the desk because the phone was out, had to walk to the desk to find no one manning the station. Took the complaint into my own hands and knocked on the door of the room making the noise. Told the woman that the noise was unacceptable, had a few words, went back to the desk to complain again, finally a clerk at the desk. The noise basically continued and was noisy again the second night. There was no compensation for the inconvenience, just an "apology."
The hotel charges an additional $5 service fee PER NIGHT that isn't noted anywhere on Booking.com web site. When called out on it, Booking said call the property and the property said call Booking. All I have been getting is the run around. No refund, no attempt to make it better by either party: Booking OR Sleep Inn. When calling Choice Hotels, I'm told the charge is at the discretion of the property. The Manager of the property keeps avoiding me when I call. I will never use Booking.com for reservations .. or stay with this chain of lodging again.

The room was comfy and looked clean.
Horrible customer service the clerks were rude. No towels or wash clothes in the room. I had to beg for housekeeping services twice to be turned down. I was told to bring dirty linens downstairs. I was not doing it after I requested services. The male clerk asked me if I could follow directions at check-in and slide my credit card across the desk. He was very snappy. Trash outside the room because lack of housekeeping services. I left my stay early.

It’s good location quiet area
It wouldn’t been nice knowing they had a problem with me and my boyfriend staying there. After paying for a booking online finding out after being checked in for an hour that we are longer welcome there. Kinda of ridiculous you think.

Super comfortable and big bed, friendly staff, had a pool onsite, rooms were very spacious, free parking, good location
We stayed for 2 nights and both mornings and nights the water never got hot in the shower, apart from this we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again!

One of the worst hotels in Newport News Virginia,
Doors don’t lock, and the staff keeps opening my door with a key even with the no disturbing sign on the door , then Apologized saying they ain’t know , after they just opened it hours ago and we argued about it …. Another thing extra fees. Talking about some 10$ for a “hotel” fee .. breakfast terrible they only have cereal and 1 waffle machine but no waffle mix they bring it out at 9 even though breakfast start at 6 . Just down right terrible DONT COME HERE!!!

The desk clerk was nice: respectful & courteous.
The clerk, Ed, was very nice. I had driven for 9 hrs, was exhausted & hungry.
The facility was in horrible condition inside. It should not be allowed to be opened. Elevator was not working. I saw 3 different rooms before I settled in the last one. Rooms 120,122,101 in that order. The carpet in the hallway is filthy. Room 120 bed sheets were stained and a chair & carpet were filthy. Room 122 was just as bad. Filthy torn carpet in various places, filthy & stained chair. The fridge didn't work. Room 101 to which I supposedly was upgraded was not in much better condition. All previously mentioned including cigarette burns in blanket, cracked sink in bathroom and part of wall is coming apart. Tried to contact booking.com as I had prepaid and was kept on perpetual hold. Managed to get them on the phone next day. Wasted my time.

how the staff gave you time to be to yourself. nobody knocks on your door every hour of the day. they dont bother you and i like that
the wash clothes werent as clean, and the shower wasnt as hot, but other than that it was a calm and cool stay from MY personal experience

Staff was friendly
I was locked out of my room and they couldn't open the door until the next day. So we had nothing. My anxiety was through the roof because there was an altercation that happened in the room across from us which ended up with someone being murder so the police was everywhere. My son was murder a month before so I couldn't get to my medication to relax my nerves being that it was locked in the other room and there was nothing staff could do. Manger told me with everything going on they would give me my money back and I still haven't received that. The room we got moved to looked like nobody cleaned it. There was hair in the bathroom shower, tissue on the floor, just things everywhere.

The manager harassing, following and watching my family like we were criminals. On top of my deposit being taken due to a food stain on the sheet
Sonya was ruin yelling in my face accusing me of saying something bad about her mother when the statement was never made. Waited all day for the owner to receive my deposit and still no one. Just Sonya being ruin and unconcerned with the issue at hand

The POOL!!!!!! THE ROOMS LOOK GREAT N ARE COMFORTABLE
I was comfortable being followed and watched by staff for whatever reason. I don't know what the issue was with the lady from the front desk. But she made us feel really uncomfortable bothering our visitor. A family member who had come to visit. N questioning my child about things which again is NOT ok

Do not stay here ! Mad roaches! Burn holes! Stains on blankets. Mold. Smell. Rugs are not vacuumed. Rips in lamp shades! No sheet on a bed! No shower in a bathroom! They don't state u only have 30 mins from when you book the room to check it out to see if u want to keep it!!! Horrible service! Good luck if booked through booking.com or priceline.com getting your money back! Didn't even stay here that night due to not wanting to bring roaches back to my house in my belongings! Don't not look like picture at all. Owners don't email you back or booking.com nor will answer the call from booking.com. I was right there and it wasn't ringing but they're number is going thru smh must of blocked them because do many complaints they are stealing people money! And I booked 3 rooms and only wanted 2 booked a 3 Rd to make sure the second was secure because when I called manager siad she don't see it, figuring they would accommodate me seeing I only needed 2* rooms. After all this I called next day tryin to talk to manager and hangs up in my face !!! Just rude as ever! Also a guy passed away in there as well the same day I came. My mom is 64 w emphysema and COPD. My daughter and I suffer from asthma and my best friend and her kids are allergic to mold!!! But no one cares and I'm beat outta 300$$$$!!!!

I liked absolutely nothing and I’m still waiting on my refund
I didn’t like that I called 2 days in advance about the pool and was told that it would be available for my booking date and it wasn’t open when I arrived to check in very disappointed and so was my daughter it was for her birthday.

It was fairly cheap.
The pool, breakfast, and fitness room were all closed. Even though it was advertised as open. It smelled very musty and the drawers in the room were filthy. It has a microwave that didn't work and they refused to switch it out for me.
Additionally the staff was very rude and unhelpful.
The front desk people were mocking me to my face because I dared to ask for another of of toilet paper for my nine day stay.

I am emailing now to get a refund immediately, I checked out 15 minutes after checking in!
