Beach was great. Hotel, not so much.
The view to the ocean was beautiful! The staff were professional and polite.
The entire hotel is in poor shape and pretty run down.

Good value but very bare bones approach to taking care of your guests.
Nice location. Great access to beach. Friendly front desk staff.
Sticky surfaces (bedroom night stands and dresser). Dusty floors. No Kleenex in the bathrooms and no extra toilet paper as back up. We ended up using paper towels from the kitchen. Also needed to ask for a second bar of soap. If you have two bathrooms , you need to make sure there is a bar of soap in each of them

Don’t count on relaxing
It’s a great location with wonderful ocean views
The bedroom TV wasn’t working the night we checked in. No coffee filters in the room. The floors could have been cleaner. The jacuzzi is broken and staff told me it has been broken for about a year because the condo owners refuse to pay to fix it replace it. The indoor “heated” pool was not heated until the day I we checked out. We came during Spring Break to relax and use the amenities but no amenities were functioning but the outdoor pool which nobody is going to use in 50-60 degree weather. Totally disappointed!

This place was just what we needed to relax for a long weekend!
Loved the location right on the beach. Great indoor and outdoor pool, corn hole, palm trees!
I wish it had an oven.

Shell Island Resort is the perfect location. It offers oceanfront and sound views.
The rooms were dirty, the furniture tattered and torn, and outdated. The poolside lounge chairs were worn out and torn. The corn hole boards were warped and torn in the outdoor game area.
