The room was very cute, clean and comfortable. I had a balcony with a view of the beach/ocean as well. The hotel offers a lot of amenities as well, including a pool, fire pits, and a restaurant (which also has room service!) The staff was also very friendly.
I only stay for one night, and felt that I paid a very high price.

Location
Upstairs person up all night and stomping around with sudden crashing/banging noises. It was very loud. Front desk could do anything when we called.

Location. We were attending a wedding near Devils Lake and this was perfect location. Also beachfront.
We ran out of hot water one night

Great location. Able to get early check in so we could get ready to attend a wedding.
Kids in the pool well past adult only time

Bed was comfortable. Good coffee maker.
Room was not clean, especially the floor in the bathroom. Our table had huge white marks and water stains all over it. Bare minimum furniture, very plain room. Room did not look like it had ever been renovated.

The really close ocean front view off the balcony, the room had a fireplace, the 2 headed walk in open shower, how nice the room was, had glass cups and a kurig coffeemaker, the bed was quite comfortable, it had a pool/spa/sauna, and the walk down to the beach under the hotel was really cool! It was the nicest hotel we have stayed at.
There wasn't enough parking spots near our room (all full up), my daughter couldn't enjoy the hot tub and got kicked out even with me with her(had to be 18 and over) , and some left over sand on the hardwood floor(not too much of a big deal though).

We were on the fourth floor which was a great view. Loved knowing there was an elevator so it was easier on my sister being able to get around.
I don't have anything negative to say.

The beds were comfortable, and it was a good location with easy beach access.
I liked that they have a laundry there but if you didn't have cash or change there wasn't an option to get cash for coins to use it unless you went off sight.
A lot of the amenities were not up to expectations and the staff response to our issues was sub-par.
Fire pits not lit
Steam room out of order
Sauna broken, with light going off and on and no heat
Hot tub was excessively foamy
No extra pillows and blankets in room, or even given when asked.
We reported someone smoking next to our room and they had to wait for security to come back on site to check it out so nothing was ever done about it and we didn't get to open the sliding door to hear the waves.
MOST concerning thing was the cracks of n the walkway near the stairs where the walkway was leaning down, near rm 314. I informed the front desk and they were cavalier about bids being out to contractors. Honestly not a safe spot.
I used to love love love this place so sad to see it like this.

Ocean View
I didn’t like pool area certainly not sanitary to swim in , The whole building looks like it definitely needs some inspection of mildew rust and possibly mold. The items in the office are so overpriced the swimsuit from Walmart for an infant are charging $44! Seagulls and pigeons are part of the beach at the balconies at least our balconies because we had two girls add pigeon and seagull poop certainly not sanitary for children to even hang out on the balcony rooms were semi-clean. We did find hairs on towels, side table very dusty . He has stayed at better hotels for the price that we paid here breakfast included, which this property did not have included, which was a bummer. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place until they upgrade and take in consideration of families that go to this hotel.

The room was large and had everything we needed. We had full view of the ocean from our room, and the flood lights at night were a plus in watching the ocean waves after dark. The staff was excellent, very responsive when we asked questions.
We reported the loose connection of the hair dryer on the bathroom wall. The receptionist noted the issue for the maintenance team when we asked for a repair after we checked out of the room.

Mattress could have been softer

We went to storm watch and hang in our room watching tv and the beach. We were not told that their cable was out. Staff acted like it was not a big deal but to us it was as that is what we went down for. Just to get away from our busy life for my husbands bday and chill in our room. My husband wanted to watch a game and storm watch from our room and we could not use the tv. Not happy. I think we should have been told when we booked or at least when we checked in.
Same as above. Cable was out and that ruined our plans. Staff acted like it wasn’t a big deal.

The view of the ocean was superb. Always enjoy and love hearing the sound of the tide coming and going. Unfortunately, one bed had a mattress topper and the other did not. It was not requested that a second be delivered to the room. However, one could wonder why the mattress with a comfortable mattress topper was located in front of the mirror. Would recommend for passing through stays or those whom are extroverts.

Our room was nicely decorated, clean and had a lovely view.
Our room smelled like propane/gas so bad that it gave my little girl and I a headache. I couldn’t figure out if it was from the fireplace or someone else’s room. Luckily we were on the second floor so we could open our back door to let fresh air in.

Great room, amazing views, spacious property.
Ants in the room, parking near the room was a bear.

The front desk staff were very nice, however it was understaffed for the number of guests checking in. Management should address this problem to reduce the number of clients waiting to register.
The location on for the hotel didn't work with goggle maps. It was very difficult to locate the hotel. Speaking with other guests, they said people had driven additional 20 minutes follow goggle maps. This should be addressed by mngt.

The kids loved the firepit for s’mores and i loved how close the beach was without having to walk down a lot of stairs!
Not enough electrical outlets to plug in devices to charge at night like phones, tablets, computers.

We asked for higher floor, the receptionist was very sweet and moved us from the ground level (remodeled room) to 4th floor which had absolutely amazing view of the ocean - the very reason we came. But it was old room, nothing bad, all clean and we appreciated the coffee maker and coffee in the room, but it was slightly disappointing to choose from a view or a new room. So it dehyped the experience. The wifi was absolute disaster.
All the balconies were rusty, ours had some extra wooden beam for support, which didn’t look the best, hopefully thats not a big structural issue. Wifi was really tragic if you need anything on internet you can rely on them, which is hard on non US travelers.

Was very disappointed that they wanted to charge $30 extra to clean your room even though you stayed a week.

Loved oceanfront views and easy access to beach
Waited a couple times at front desk for help & no one was readily available. Waited for awhile before someone came to the desk.

Close to the beach and beautiful views
The staff were unfriendly, they charge $40USD for one day maid service, no tidying up at all in the room (even though we stayed for 5 nights), the walk down to the beach goes under the hotel and it STINKS really bad like sewage, we were never given enough towels, toiletries, coffee, sugars etc so we had to keep on asking the front desk for more everyday and we felt like they were hesitant to give it to us, which is ridiculous. hot tub was always filthy. no A/C in the room, so we asked for a fan as my mother could not sleep...the front desk made us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. They still have metal keys for all the rooms which is a huge security issue in my opinion. Anyone can take make a copy of the key and would be able to still access the room even after they check out...this made us feel extremely unsafe, as we travelled together as three women! We paid WAY too much for this place for it to be THIS bad. When we checked out, we were never asked about how our stay was with them. We are so disappointed about our stay as we haven't been back to Oregon for 7 years. Wish we stayed somewhere else! Not impressed.
