What did I like….nothing really. I will say the bed was firm and comfortable .
Everything. This is an old motel and it shows. Driving in it looked nice and rustic . There are no smoking signs everywhere, my room smelled like stale smoke. My TV didn’t work even after following very specific instructions . My bedside lights didn’t work. Towels were inexpensive and course. I was in town for an event , I can’t ever imagine paying this much for a room like this. I’ll find another place next time.

Loved the early check in since we were going to a concert. Convenient location and clean. Basic and no frills but worked for 1 night and had fridge and microwave which was nice and beds were comfortable. Has cute picnic/ BBQ area in middle of property. Staff was pleasant.
Motel definitely shows its age and needs updating. Cosmetic items like paint, etc. not maintained. Very small and scratchy bath towels.

Not too much to like about this motel (see comments below) Location was good. walking distance to nearby small retail plaza and pizza restaurant.
At check in, it was surprising and shocking to find out they sold my reserved room to another guest but accommodated us with a accessible room. The furniture in the room was old and outdated but it served its purpose. The carpet can use some deep cleaning. The walls were in desperate need of repairs and painting. We were happy to find the bathroom was very clean but late at night, a cockroach was found just behind the toilet. The bathroom light flickered at times but was tolerable. The toilet seat was not not completely bolted.
The comforters on both beds appeared soiled. One of the comforters had a large size black grease/oil stain. The blanket on that same bed was grossly soiled and stained. It appeared it had not been washed in weeks. Both comforter and blanket were removed. Overall the room was somewhat livable so we decided just to tolerate for that one night. The motel is in desperate need of upgrades and improvements outside and inside. More so in the rooms. I was aware of some of the ratings for this motel were poor but I took the chance. I will definitely not return to this motel and recommend others to stay away.

very old, tired and run down. The room smell

This is a 1950(?) style “motor court.” Parked car next to room door.
Very old motel with loud air conditioning. Small room; venican blinds didn’t keep out the outside lights. Door was totally scratched up.
3.3
The property was centrally located to where we needed to be. The bathroom was recently updated.
It’s really old. the rooms could use some paint and new furniture.

the bathroom toilet flushing didn't work. The water from shower is very very small.

Hosts were wonderful.
Everything was fine. It's an old motel but everything is clean and works fine.

I never saw breakfast! The location is great. would liked access to bigger freezer for traveling purposes
I didn't like being tight on top of the keepers. I don't know where else that i could if been though

Grassy area for pets.
it was not clean and not well kept.

Motel staff friendly, ease of checking in. knowledge of the area. And booked a future stay for the Calaveras County Frog Jump Jubille Weekend. Very Accomodating ..Historical Towns Of Angel's Camp and Murphys very Accessable from this location. It is a small older motel with small clean rooms. Very quiet stay which was a huge plus. An outdoor picnic area with seats benches a table ,bbq pit and a fire pit for those spring, summer nights.
Motel is in a quiet area off the Main Highway 49. Within a blocks of shopping areas. Save Mart, Oreillys,CVS,Dollar General,Rite Aid,Burger King ,Taco Bell,,Mike's Pizza
Satisfied

Very friendly people running the motel. I liked them a lot. They helped me out with some things having to do with my room. Just very friendly, helpful and nice people.

Decent price .. friendly staff :-)
Room lacked blackout curtains, so entryway porch lights made the room seem like early morning light all night!

Joyce took care of us from the time that we made the reservations. When we arrived, she gave us great instructions on where to park (when we came back after an event). She let us know that there was a dog owners get together (with dogs) and there may be some noise. It was quiet the whole evening. Joyce made sure the sheets and blankets were extra clean (I am allergic). The hotel is dated and the bathroom is very small, but we really enjoyed staying there - we always stayed in motels when I was a child. The hotel is right off the main road so you could walk to a business. Getting gas was only 4 blocks from motel. If you are hoping for a "pretentious Bed and Bath," this is not the motel for you. But cost effective, clean and centrally located is its credit. Again, Joyce was wonderful at the front desk. I was surprised to see that she also cleans the rooms - can't find employees like that anymore. By the way, it has a great t.v. which other historical hotels do not. Thank You :)
There was no heat in the bathroom, which could be a little colder in winter, but the heater is in the closet and ran very efficiently in the room. Everything else provided; coffee maker, microwave, shampoo etc.

Good Air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Good maid service. I never watched the TV.
Could have used some wifi. Inside our room, wifi never worked. I wish I had known this before I made the reservation. Some people really count on wifi. There are not enough electrical outlets in this room. Luckily I had an extension cord with me. I had to plug the lamp and clock radio into a bathroom outlet using this extension. Without the extension cord, I would not have been able to read in bed. The shower needs a larger fixture for setting down soap and shampoo. The single metal dish provided is too small to hold any more than one bar of soap. Refrigerator is awfully small.

Tv and air conditioner worked
Told medium dog was free, then charged $15.00. Would not even look at email saying she was free! Small room, free WiFi, but no internet service available. One bar, in and out!!! Had to go out to middle area of motel grounds to find 2 bars, phone only, not on my tablet. Outside lights kept the room lit up all night! Packs of coffee creamer found holding AC vent open, none by coffee pot. No scoop in the ice machine! Crud on bathroom sink! Stained carpets..red😳! STAY AWAY!!! Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere!!

Old run down but clean good location bad cell location

I was able to park the bike right outside the door , nice for unloading and loading. The room was large enough, bathroom was tiny. The AC was in a closet, hard to cool off the room. The TV didn't work well, would lose signal from Direct TV, weather was NOT the problem. Wireless came and went too. It's an older place, staff was helpful as they could be, but, room prices are sure up this year, you don't get much for $110 these days
TV and internet both need upgrades, they don't work well, comes and goes.

Quaint and charming single-story hotel in a good location, with cozy rooms and comfortable bed. Convenient to the rest of Angels Camp services and attractions. Very well-maintained historic property.
The room window lacked adequate covering--a set of shades instead of a curtain, and it let a lot of light in at nighttime. Also not as much privacy because of it. Street noise can be a problem at times.

Old school motel, kicked back, clean.

The host was very friendly and helpful
I didn't like the fact that the shower didn't work very good TV had to be fixed so it would work there was no wash rags or no soap but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink leaked.

It was perfect for my partners and I first planned get away weekend. Cute little chill spots too.
