Very cute and convenient. Had everything we needed.
It’s really small (but we knew this when we booked it so “dislike” is relative)

Bedroom had no air conditioning, a fan was in the closet, but it was broken!!! Shower compartment was small!!

Away from the center of town , quiet and picturesque. A compact , clean mountain cabin with enough conveniences for a short stay . Easy access , off a major street .
The communications with the property management was difficult . Didn’t respond to E mails regarding arrival time .

Furnishing
No laundry at the lodge, shower could use a bit maintenance.

Terrain is excellent and there jsut seems to be unending runs. Bad thing is They post a lift ticket price on their website that ends up being $40 more when you buy at ticket booth the next day. It's only an online price. They don not mention, nor do they post, that the online price is different than the $40+ ticket booth price. Why businesses continue to trick you into spending more money is beyond me. It truly cheapens the experience and the outlook of the resort. Next time I go I will probably waste more and not leave tips since they must be making considerable excess profits to pass on to employees with the pricing chicanery.

To be fair, there have been record amounts of snowfall in Mammoth this winter, which must have caused many problems for everyone running any of the hospitality establishments. Our chalet at Edelweiss Lodge was warm and comfortable and reasonably spacious. We visited the Welcome Center and the guy there was super helpful and gave us lots of great tips about our stay in Mammoth. Not least the free bus service around the resort.
Because of the record snowfall it was more like staying in an igloo in our chalet. We had snow higher than all but one of the windows and the final window had chipboard against it to protect if from the snowbank. The accommodation, although comfortable is rather quaint and dated. Our check in paperwork was on a clip outside one of the chalets. There didn’t appear to be anyone there connected with the chalets, who could help if you had a problem. Although there were contact details on the paperwork, it’s not the same as meeting someone, albeit briefly, who can quickly answer any questions you may have. I hope the record snowfall won’t cause any long term damage to the lodges.

Dirty sofa and tight quarters, lack of basic needs
Communication on specific layout to ensure guests were comfortable

Room felt like a bunker. Very tiny, and dirty. Bed was broken, heater was super noisy, and had an unpleasant smell. The hotel is cheap, but not worth the price.
