The Waypoint is great, and we particularly like the lobby, which has a cozy fireplace and microbrews. The vibe is great, and the location is close to downtown and nicely walkable. We've stayed there twice and been impressed both times.

The comfort
4.1
I liked that the beds were comfortable
The fact that the cupboard that hides the fridge cut my daughter's toe open, and the bed was covered in dog hair.
4.1
it was decorated nicely, they gave our pup a rolled up sheet with a dog treat.
our room 113 was under the stairs and right by the dog area, all night long people letting their dogs out and then let the door would slam, people running up the stairs. we got no sleep. when we told the front desk, he said he would do his
“damndnest” to remember us next time to make it right. We won’t be back it was 200.00 and we thought it would be nicer.
they have fixed up an old hotel, and the age still pokes through. too bad!

clean, modern, comfortable, great staff, awesome heated outdoor pool, easy check in, easy room access from parking
no complaints

The bed was really comfortable, I had flown in from Australia that morning and managed to sleep for 14 hours straight
No kettle

my room was located next to a security door that I had to listen to all night bang shut. I also had to listen to very loud people visiting in the hallway corridor and because of those two things I did not get much sleep. Also, the room decor looks like a stripped out Kmart. The pictures advertising the property made it look a lot nicer than it actually was.

Good Central location
The heat was way too high when we checked in our room. Granted it was snowing, but the heat was set at 89 and seems like it had been running for quite a long time at that temp.

The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful when I had to move the reservation to the next day due to illness. Check-in was super smooth and I was able to choose a room based on my preference. My room was quiet and spacious and clean, and had everything you needed for a multinight stay. Location was also convenient for in and out.
I wasn't sure about the place because the exterior looks a bit like a truck stop, but the interior is very nicely appointed and the rooms are current and have been rehabbed well. I would say that the mattress was exceptionally firm though and I had a hard time getting comfortable. That said, the pillows, sheets and towels were all nice.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was someone smoking (against the rules) next to us and our room completely smelled of smoke, but they immediately got us a new (and better) room and even checked to make sure everything was ok after. The renovated rooms were quaint but had a lot of features, and the showers were great!
The smoking I the room next to us wasn't great, but that was taken care of. The rooms were smaller than I would have liked, and there was a concert going on nearby that was very loud.

The room was large and spacious and everything was very clean. Plenty of room for two people with ski gear. They also had a decent size fridge and microwave in the room. The lobby is decorated very nicely and was warm and toasty. Front desk staff were alway available and friendly.
The pool and the hot tub are legit in the middle of a car park. We didn't mind that so much, but three of the four days we were there the spa and hot tub area was locked. Front desk said it was something chemical related, but the hotel didn't seem very proactive of getting everything open again.
4.1
Clean, welcoming and excellent customer service as soon as you walk through the doors. Excellent amenities and awesome beer tap options to enjoy either indoor or at the outdoor sitting area with fire places!
All was awesome!

Great location whether we wanted to head downtown or jump on the highway. Friendly staff. Nicely remodeled dog friendly room! Beautiful lobby with beer and wine to enjoy by the fire. Much nicer than anything else we have stayed at in that price range.
It would have been nice to have a continental breakfast available and not have to leave the hotel to eat 1st thing in the a.m.
