Passable

Disappointed with breakfast. My fresh blueberry muffin was still frozen in the middle. My wife's coffeecake was cold. A $300 room could have some kind of hot breakfast.

Front desk was not covered in the morning. No bell to request assistance.

A fun Victorian B&B feel

Great location in the heart of the town, quaint/fun Victorian decor, friendly staff, a great "B&B type" experience. The continental breakfast was decent. A little pricey, but that's all the hotels in the area.

Price was a little high, but that's the norm for the area.

We enjoyed our visit.

When we stayed with you before we really enjoyed the breakfast upstairs. We were disappointed that you have reduced it, to downstairs.

We had to run the hot water for 10-15 minutes to obtain hot water. Seems like a waste of water.

absolutely lovely experience with an incredible staff. glad I got to stay there!

the whole property was wonderful but I really loved the old piano they let my boyfriend play. it is a truly sweet memory.

the only thing I could say is that they didn’t have a TV in the room but that was all part of the charm as well.

If you love history and comfort this is the place to stay.

A beautiful historic hotel. The staff was welcoming. Loved the history of the hotel and the town of Ouray. Breakfast was exceptional and plentiful. The room was inviting and comfortable. We rested well.

Just wished the Bon Ton Restaurant was completed and open. I also wished I would have asked for the recipe for the breakfast casserole that was served. It was yummy.

Disappointed that the restaurant was closed and was not informed, otherwise a beautiful place

The breakfast was wonderful, good variety and well prepared

One of the reasons we stayed here was that it had a restaurant on site, the Bon Ton, that we were really looking forward to eating at again. The restaurant was was being remodeled and therefore closed which they failed to say anything about on their website, very disappointing.

This hotel was so charming. I was searching through pictures of hotels when planning my trip to Ouray and booked this place immediately when I saw the photos, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I absolutely loved the Victorian decor. We enjoyed waking up every morning to a view of the mountains out the window.

We would recommend this place. It was very nice and had neat antiques.

We stayed in the room with 2 bedrooms that were separated by a bathroom which was nice with 2 couples. The breakfast was good.

We ran out of soap in the bathroom.

Charming older hotel

I love the charm of older hotels and the St Elmo didn’t disappoint. There is no elevator but the staff are happy to help with luggage.

Although the staff are helpful, my knees would have preferred an elevator but that’s a small complaint

St Elmo - such a cool place to stay

the St Elmo was such a cool hotel to stay - perfect location. owner had perfect recommendations for our long weekend in Colorado with sights to see and places to go.

parking for motorcycles is not good in the street in front of the hotel / off camber and very steep. we quickly learned to park around back, which was not an issue at all.

Very good

We spent two nights the fiat night we had room 4 and the bed was hard and pillows were massive or thick, room 8 the other night was much better the bed was better and pillows too also room 8 had three fans where room 4 was lacking but it was really the bed in 4 that we didn’t enjoy it was rock hard. Otherwise it was pretty cool and had a great location.

Room 4 needs a mattress topper it’s too hard.

Wonderful stay, would stay here again.

Great location on Main Street. Room was clean and comfortable with beautiful decor and furniture. We enjoyed the included breakfast.

Everything was great! The only suggestion I would have would be to offer some plain eggs with breakfast to accommodate guests that might not eat ham.

Great place to stay in Ouray...

The breakfast was outstanding and the location is perfect for downtown Ouray.

All was good -- the only advice is to skip the hot tub... the water did not seem appealing...
