breakfast is no longer included in the price for the room. management is now charging an additional 18.cost per person per breakfast.W
Let's start with the email confirmation and text confirmation of my arrival on Wednesday 3/8,There is no code to enter the building, nor anyone available to let me in!!!! Two subsequent phone calls initiated by me lasting at least 30 minutes left me no recourse but to pack my bags and find a new room at another establishment. No phone calls with an apology or explanation have I since received.ALTHOUGH I DID RECEIVE THE CHARGE FOR THE ROOM THIS MORNING!!

The inn is quite nice and staff are friendly. My problem was that the 2nd night I was the only person at the Inn, no staff, no other guests. If anything happened, I was on my own. Would not stay again unless I was with a group. Being elderly and left alone in a huge strange house in an unfamiliar city is not my idea of comforting accommodations. If I had known I'd be alone, I definitely would not have booked there.

We loved the house itself, the common areas and the breakfast. We sat on the porch swing on New Years Eve and people watched. Beautiful house
The room was terribly inadequate, uncomfortable and lacking in basic functionality. It was NYE but it was a warm evening and we were on the third floor. The room was hot and the A/C unit didn’t work at all. We used the ceiling fan but it was undesirable that we couldn’t adjust the temperature to our comfort. The room had a smart tv, but it did not work. After an hour of trying to figure out how to get anything to work, it connected to a past guests Netflix account and we could watch something. Lastly, booking.com misrepresented the room and the amenities, their was no view, their wasn’t a claw foot tub and their wasn’t a balcony, if we would have known in advance we would have paid for one of the nicer, larger rooms. We loved the house and IF we ever went back would pay for one of the premium rooms.

convenient to everything
HH didn’t happen due to staff running ghost tours

The room was ice cold and the bed was good. We didn't Interact with any staff but the overall atmosphere was great. Would recommend.
We were out on the front swing and the front yard being the starting point for alot of tours. Random people walking through the property all the time and all doors being unlocked and kept us on guard when we just wanted to relax

It was very nice, served outside. One day I had a tour at 8am and the cook, Nina, made me a fruit parfait so I would not get hungry! I appreciated her extra effort and the breakfast kept me going until 3pm!
The bed was a little bowed on the right side but sleeping in the middle resolved that issue.

NOTHING. I did not stay here. After I paid the required deposit, I received an email several weeks later that they wanted the full price paid in advance. I would not do that. I asked for a phone number so I could speak to someone about this. They replied they do not answer the phone, they only interact with email - including when you stay there. That is ridiculous. What if there is a problem? When I objected, they then said they would refund my deposit if I did not wish to stay there with those conditions. I said I most certainly did not want to stay there with those conditions. They never refunded the deposit.

I was met by the owner who walked me to my room and was very helpful with checking in. The room was as expected but the Inn was central to town and the Battlefield. There is a sitting area to the rear of the Inn which is filled with flora and fauna. Can't wait to go back..
Absolutely not a thing.

The room was cozy clean and had the touch of history and romance I was looking for in lodging. We also appreciated the delicious breakfast, thoufhtfulness of staff and how close in proximity the house was to the village and historical sites.

historic and very well maintained throughout.
we stayed on the third floor and had two flights of stairs.

Breakfast was awesome, more than just the standard continental fare. The rooms were quaint, comfortable, and clean with décor to match the location and the house's age. The innkeepers are nice folks, they meet you in person and welcome you to the inn. Snacks, coffee, and soda are available most of the day. The house itself is a lovely Victorian, with parking (a rarity in the city), and extremely close to the shops downtown, a mere block or two from Mr.G's ice cream, a number of restaurants, and a ton of local shops. The downtown circle is a mere 15 minute walk away.
If you have mobility problems, it would best be good to call ahead to see what accommodations could be made as the inn is an old Victorian, with the stairs to match. Parking likewise is down a brick path and hill, with quite a few stairs.

The property was in a perfect location. We were greeted warmly by Melanie who walked us up (3 flights) to our room and explained everything throughly. Our room was perfectly decorated, the bed was comfortable and the bedding definitely kept out the chill. The heated baseboards in the bathroom were much appreciated. We eat gluten free and gluten free treats were left out for us in the evening and gluten free breakfast and toast were graciously provided.
Not a thing.

Loved visiting with hosts and other guests. My only complaint was the 29 step climb to our room! The facilities are beautiful and the breakfast on the patio was extraordinary!!
