Door was hard to open, lock needed replaced. Toilet paper holder was broke and full of rust. Caulking on sink moldy. Room smelled like animal waste. Desk person gave me a hard time, about my Service Animal, by stating he didn’t have any pet rooms available.

There were bugs in drawers and in the bathroom, faucets were disgusting, the toilet was loose and rocked back and forth when you sat on it. I laid my bag on the counter and got a black substance on it, maybe makeup from the last person staying? The bed was a rock with the two most deflated pillows I’ve ever seen in my life.

I called the hotel before booking to make sure my three labs could stay. Manager said it was an exception, but $33 each. I made the booking through booking.com. After driving from Houston to Leeds, I tried to check in about 5.30 pm. The lobby was locked, and I had to use a tray under a heavy window. It was just sketchy. I gave my card to the manager to cover the fee for the dogs The manager said he needed to scam my driver's license. I said he was welcome to check my identity and write down any information, but if he insisted on scanning my license, he would have to be liable for any costs arising from a data breach of his system. The manager said it happened all the time, then he shoved my card back through the tray. He said I made my reservation through booking.com, and he was cancelling the reservation. It was too late to find another hotel that accepts three dogs, so I had to drive all night to Wilmington, NC., making it a 22 hour trip. I have used booking.com in several countries and about the US in the last year, and this the first time I have had a property resent it. Booking.com did refund the payment promptly.

The room was dirty, luggage holder strap was broken. A partial toilet paper roll on back of toilet, but no toilet paper in holder. Fabric bottom of chair was dragging on the floor. Room had an old wet musty smell.
