Kind and accommodating staff, massage chair in lobby, small breakfast options, and comfortable stay
The walls must be thin because we heard the people in the room above us and all people walking right outside our room. Also, the jacuzzi was not in service during our stay.

Friendly staff. Good location. Mostly quiet.
The property and rooms are older/dated.

Classy older building wit lots of personality.
was not a problem for me, but there might be accessibility problems for someone with mobility issues.

I’ve been staying at this hotel almost ever summer since 1997. This was my first trip back since COVID. It’s under new ownership and they are not keeping it up properly. The actual floor was giving way in my cottage, they put a chair over it. There was a hole in the window screen so I could only partially open the window. I asked that it be fixed and it want fixed. The television didn’t work properly. I asked for that to be fixed as well, it wasn’t.

Friendly staff
Bed wasn’t very comfortable, single pillow was not enough

Location and concept of a vintage hotel is what attracted us to the property
Website needs to be updated, no fire pit or spa on the patio. Bathroom in our room was not up to par. A little repair and deep cleaning would go along way. Front desk person upon check in said to a questioned asked...that's above my pay grade.

The location and ease of access to the town was great. The staff was courteous and super nice.
Our room was small, tight quarters. The jacuzzi was not operational and there was no breakfast as advertised . There was no coffee available in our room nor in the lobby during our stay.

Location was great. Easy to get to, staff was nice. Central to all the local places to eat and easy to walk to locations like descanso beach, shops and restaurants.
Breakfast wasn’t much of breakfast just snacks most were gone by 9am. Bathroom toilet kept running and we needed to fix or it would go all night. Hotel room door had issues with lock, it would lock you in and get jammed.

friendly helpful staff, clean rooms and great location.

A little heat might have been nice.

Hotel location was great and this was the most affordable place on the island. We stayed here in 2018 and really enjoyed it as it was MUCH nicer then. After this visit I would not recommend.
We spent one night here. Room was old and not very clean. Dust was caked on the hairdryer (wall mounted), the windows were old and open when we came in, we were unable to close them and a bee got in the room. The shower was so old and dingy that we didn't want to use it. The door was very hard to open or close, we had to lean on it to force it to close. When we came back to hotel the attic stairs were down right in front of our door and we had to sqeeze past them, they were down for most of the night.

We were moved from o e room to another half way threw our stay. We reported an issue with the door and due to the air for parts we were relocated to another room.
The new room shower hot water did not get hot. I had the shower running for 20 minutes before giving up.
But other the. That the room was amazing.
Staff was amaizing always helpful and friendly .
Work on the plumbing for hot water out put.

location.
40 degrees outside and no heat in one of our 2br units. Bathroom door was taped where 2 holes exist. Make shift furniture to accommodate TV. Very tight space with little room to walk.

The property was old and quaint, very cute and excellent location.
It wasn’t the property that we didn’t like. It was the fact that when we got there they said our reservation through Booking had been cancelled. And after calling Booking customer support, we were told the hotel had cancelled our reservation. So something is off, as why they don’t want to go through BOOKING.

Very cute, historical style hotel. Loved the ocean view from our bedroom. The central location made it really accessible and easy to get to the main part of town. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I liked how the Hotel is located in a area that we were able to walk past shops that we did not see on our previous trip, we even had a nice partial view of the Ocean and Casino.
Not too much to not like, only thing I did not expect that they had residence but we did not stay for the whole Hotel experience but more for the Island zero to very little noise level.

The location
The jacuzzi on the patio had boards over it and was not working. There was no front desk attendant in the evening or early morning. No coffee early morning in the lobby. Not sure when it was made but still not brewed at 7:15 AM. Lumpy pillows. Not clean. Hot water fluctuated. Soft uncomfortable bed. Saturday night around nine our tv wasn’t working. Again, no one at the front desk to help. Very small rooms.

The room was nothing like advertised. Stated it had air...no air. Luckily, I brought cleaning supplies. The room was filthy from the shower to the sink. Appears the floor had not been vacuumed for some time. I sanitized every inch of the room. Wil not stay there again. Not to say, it was expensive.
2.0
Nothing good about hotel.
Steep hill to reach hotel. No disability access inside hotel. Rooms was not clean with trash all behind and underneath bed
