Location, Historic
No lighting. There were lots of windows if you wanted to leave your drapes open for lighting however, if you wanted privacy and to close your drapes, I literally had to use the flashlight on my phone to see things in the room during the day. No ice machines, you had to get that downstairs. It was free though :-).

It was a great location and a nice historic hotel b
Had to wait for 15 min for a valet to be there to take our car when we arrived. The room was cool when we checked in at 6:30 pm, however the staff said the air conditioning was having issues and someone was coming to fix it. We had prepaid for the room or we would have left. The AC obviously never got fixed because we had to leave really early the next morning because it was hotter in the room than it was outside and we couldn’t sleep! When we told the front desk, they said they knew about it and had to keep going outside themselves to cool off. We were never offered a discount or anything and don’t plan to ever stay there again.

The location is awesome and in the middle of downtown for easy access anywhere you want to go. Walking is super easy.
The hotel has not been kept up. It’s like it’s been patched together. There are spots that are old and then some places that look ok. It’s just not updated. There is a set of partitions that make an office in the lobby. It’s kinda of make shift. The bathroom ceiling looked like water damages upon damage that had been patched. The tile and wallpaper don’t really go together and there were two different tiles in the bath. There is no counter space in the bathroom. The room was spacious and ok. Nothing spectacular. We will pay the same price for a better hotel next time.

The Ashton Hotel is in a great location in the historic district of Fort Worth and just a short walk to Sundance Square. The rooms are lovely art deco which fits with the heritage designation. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The air condition in the lobby was very cold.

There was no breakfast. Location was the reason we stayed there because of the Main Street Festival. Nice and quiet even though the windows face the street. Must be really great windows.
The valet. I know it wasn't all under their control, but the Hilton where it was valed lost our keys for about an hour and couldn't find them. Needs to be a better way.

The receptionist was beautiful and took the time to help me and ensure I was safe. She was jeapording herself and I feel that later she was murfered, because of those that became aggressive in their determination to not let a woman have a relationship with me...
There was men there that made sure there were not any women there... theyn made sure I.did not see a woman there....they have done this at other hotels. But I do not understand why i do not believe they pay for their room like I always do...

The hotel restaurant is no longer open.
Overall, the hotel is not quite the superior full service hotel that it used to be.

Problems with the Vallet service was our only issue. We payed for valet only to find our car still on the street in the same spot come morning. Getting the keys was far too time consuming. Then, our car drove off as we watched. Finally got everything sorted out, fears abated, and valet charge removed. The man at the front desk was wonderful.

The location is great! You can easily walk to anything downtown. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were too. Front desk clerk was very friendly.
The steamer in the room didn’t work. However, there was an iron so I was able to use that. The rooms were a little small but how much room do you need to just stay overnight. It is an older hotel though so loved the design of it!!

It is an older property. could use a little updating on the decor.

Nice rooms and comfy bed!
Tea and coffee facilities needed in the rooms! Bottles of water in the room on arrival would be good but a very kind guy at reception gave us two bottles!

Given the cost of the room, I would have expected to have a better view other than of the roof and air condition ducts.

Prime location, historical building so it has old world charm, and it’s beautiful. Seem to be a little short staffed, at least on this particular weekend (so is everyone right now) but it didn’t affect their service at all. The employees are very hard workers and do their job with a smile.

It was a quiet and peaceful experience and the staff was very friendly and service-oriented. We LOVED the bed and all the fluffy pillows, as well as the spacious bathroom and corner window views. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending this hotel to all our beloved ones.

Interesting historical property. Nicely done comfortable rooms.
Electrical outlets were very inconvenient in the room and the two outlets on the bedside lamp were very loose. Just a single guest chair in the room in order to accommodate a king size bed.
