The room was nice. The bed was comfortable.
The family get togethers outside our room 100. They talked quite loud for a fairly long time. The acoustics were not very good.

This little Diamond in the rough was worth it to us for the price and hot breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and nice to my family of 5!
The bathroom floors and doors were a little outdated. The toilet takes a little while to flush and it was only discovered later you have to hold the handle down longer.

Room and Breakfast
I had no problems.

Room was large and had refrigerator and microwave. Great water pressure. Beds comfortable. Nice indoor pool. Plenty of parking, felt secure.
Nothing really, room was fine.

I had a room with a bed and a bathroom - that's about as good as it gets here. The most disappointing room I've ever paid for, except maybe for a Motel 6 over 30 years ago.
I found a spot to park my truck towing a trailer close to my room (185). The outside door to the room wouldn't open (right next to a hotel Exit door). Tried to go in that Exit door to go around and use the inside door to my room. The Exit door wouldn't open (lights on both doors turned "green" - so they should have opened). The handle was about to fall off the Exit door and refused to open. So, I had to go all the way around to the other side of the building to get in the other Exit door - I did this 3 times to get my belongings into my room. I checked the door of room 185 from the inside to see if a deadbolt was in place - couldn't find anything wrong, but it just wouldn't open.
Next I used the bathroom - no toilet paper holder, just some TP on top of the countertop.
Next I tried to adjust the temp of the room - couldn't tell what the 'current' temp as because only the "7" was lit up on the digital screen (see photo). I had to figure it out by pushing the arrows up/down until the 7 turned to either a 6 or an 8.
Then, I thought I'd relax a little - watch some TV. But NO, the TV wouldn't work - no matter what buttons I pushed. Just black and white static.
I think the room was fairly clean, but in desperate need of repairs (see more photos I took).
I paid over $170 for this room that was worse than the quality of a Motel 6, in my opinion. For comparison, the very next night I stayed at a Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites in Conway, Arkansas and only paid a little over $130 (which was a Saturday night) and it was a Studio King Suite - extremely clean, well taken care of, and no issues with doors that wouldn't work.
Basically, if I was the owner of this Fifth Season Inn / Amarillo, TX, I would be embarrassed to charge people so much for such a run-down hotel.

vintage feel and lots of cool amenities available in the bar including a vendor who personalized hats.
the elevator was slow but really cool so I could see that being challenging for some.

The atrium was pretty and probably the cleanest thing at this hotel
Our door didn’t even shut and could be pushed open even when locked. The walls were filthy and tore up. The tv in one of our rooms didn’t work and they wouldn’t let us change rooms. Said we didn’t tell them. in time. One of our other rooms the floor was wet and they didn’t change that room but the other room was dirty. They told us the door not staying shut should have been told to them sooner so they did nothing about that. They did give us a discount on the room with no tv but did nothing for the other 3 rooms.

Nothing
cleanliness of room, there was a 8x16 inch hole in the wall, fraying carpet, toilet paper stuffed in the vent, crumbling walls around the pool area, lack of handicap access to breakfast area, no options for breakfast, rude staff, outrageous deposits for rooms.

we pulled in around 1 in the morning and left at 5:30 am. Staff was pleasant, bed was comfortable, room seemed clean. Too tired to really pay too much attention to details, just wanted my beauty rest before hitting the road for my 13 hour drive home.
