Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast is situated a little way from the 'main' city - about a 10 min cab/uber ride, but you can walk in quite easily. Neighbourhood is quiet and traditional - there are bars, shops and restaurants nearby. And a climbing gym just around the corner - for me, a real bonus! The building itself is very low key and beautifully decorated/presented. Overall, this place gives off an air of relaxation - it has chilled out vibe. Owners were very approachable and helpful. Breakfast was had just the right amount of choice - and plenty of it; great coffee! Everyone sat around one table. Seemed to attract like-minded guests - everyone chatting before getting on with their day. Bedroom was very comfortable - large bed, large bathroom, clean and tidy. Garden and porch offered nice spots to chill out in.

The whole stay at the Auld olive was very enjoyable, our host, Kate, went out of her way to make our stay unforgettable. If there are vacancies for here in March 2024 we will return.
There are no downsides to our stay. The whole experience was most enjoyable. we recommend the Auld olive to anyone wanting a stress free stay.

Our room was spacious and clean, Kate offered helpful advice and good company. booking, check in/ check out was easy.
While the immediate area seemed safe bordering areas were sketchy.

It was located in a good position to be able to get into the main City, but was in a nice neighbourhood that was very peaceful away from the hustle of New Orleans. Property had been decorated to give you a more homely feel. Katie and her staff were excellent hosts.
Can’t think of anything

Breakfast each day was excellent; room was very clean; and the staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful.
I liked everything and didn't find anything that I did not like.

The staff were really nice and friendly. I mainly dealt with Jessica. She was amazing and she made an extremely tasty quiche. For my first bed and breakfast it was interesting but a great experience! And by interesting, you really feel like your in a home with roommates. All of the guests were really nice and personable.
I wouldn't recommend it for a solo traveler, especially if you don't have a car. It's about a 20 minute walk from everything which isn't bad but definitely not to walk alone by yourself and Ubers add up.I don't remember the exact details in the description but I was under the impression that it was closer, like a 5 minute walk away. However, it's away from all the noise, so I had restful sleep.

We loved that Auld Sweet Olive is authentically New Orleans; beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Our innkeeper, Jessica, was amazing…great recommendations and tips, very, very knowledgeable, and an incredibly sweet person. Her breakfasts were awesome. Our stay was that much nicer because of her.
Nothing really.

The breakfast was the best part of this experience. I had never been to a bed and breakfast before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Delicious home cooked food made the rest of my experience bearable. It was different each morning and beautifully done.
JESSICA JESSICA JESSICA was RUDE RUDE RUDE. The rudest host I’ve ran into in awhile. Will NOT be back specifically because of her. She almost ran me from bed and breakfast establishments. She Attempted to run another payment on my card without advising me of the amount. Repeatedly implied I had no money despite her receiving full payment previously. Subliminal insults were being hurled at me faster than bullets. It felt like she had a vendetta against me since high school or something. Not accommodating Not nice Not helpful. Even made it her business to watch us like a hawk while we ate.
