The hotel is absolutely beautiful, secure, excellent amenities (robe, slippers, umbrella, bar, toiletries kit), amazing and delicious sit down breakfast included in rate and available until noon!! Noon check out!! Very professional and courteous staff.
Not a thing I can say in the negative.

Very nice design and decor. Excellent staff and location.
It was expensive but everything is expensive in NYC! Rooms are small.

Location and staff are amazing
We stayed multiple times and the property is looking more and more run down, it could use some paint job, shower was leaking and creating a big puddle in the shower.

Decent view, the blackout shades were great, the bathroom was very nice, great shower and water pressure. Clean room. The staff was nice.
The room is very small. There is nowhere to put your suitcase or lay down items other than the bed and very small table. There isn't anywhere to sit other than the bed--not where you want to sit. Uncomfortable. Poor lighting and the chandelier was huge--it was odd.

The location is fantastic. The staff are welcoming. The rooms are small but well designed with a great eye for detail. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The neighborhood is walkable and even walkable to adjoining sights like the Strand and Chelsea Market.

Location, downstairs bar/restaurant.
Tiny tiny rooms. We weren’t there to stay in the room though so it was fine!

Breakfast was limited

The subway was close by. The breakfast was very good. Room is definitely small but I really like the old architecture of the rooms and lobby.
The pillows are the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel it’s like the air is let out of them when you lay down on them. For the cost of the room please invest in decent pillows.

I would never stay here as a hotel guest but would definitely visit the public bar and restaurant, it has an incredible ambience, excellent drinks menu and great food.
I had been so excited to stay here on my first NY trip and thought by paying $$$$ I would have a boutique hotel experience with premium hospitality. unfortunately one of the worst hotel experienced I’ve had. not anywhere near worth the price they are charging.
The initial welcome at check in really set the tone for a disappointing stay. No one helped get my luggage up the front steps, not even bothering to hold open the door. I was checked in by two bored and indifferent staff, basically just asked me to pay and flung the key at me. I had to ask about breakfast, ask where the lift was etc.
As noted by everyone else who has stayed here, the room is so small it’s not even possible to open your suitcase fully on the floor.
Housekeeping gets going at around 9am and have no consideration for the fact that guests travelling from overseas may need to sleep in. Both mornings I was woken up to housekeeping staff slamming doors, having loud conversations in the hallway, laughing and gossiping right outside my door. I’ve never experienced anything like it at any hotel ever. Both mornings this continued until 11am at which point I gave up on catching up on sleep and had to leave my room.
On my second night staying I was feeling unwell and needed a cup of herbal tea - there is no kettle in the room and no room service. I understood this but was feeling too unwell to venture downstairs into the noisy bar full of people drinking to order a cup of tea from the bar so I called reception and asked if they could do me a favour and either bring up a kettle or a cup of boiling water as a favour. The manager Sean told me he had “no obligation to do this” and was incredibly rude about it.
Finally, when I checked out they were pushy about booking me an airport transfer. I said I could just book an uber but the insisted, obviously they get a commission so I get it. but the company they use is super unprofessional.

We were delighted we chose to stay at the Marlton Hotel. This hotel has a character one would associate with New York. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of Time Square, it is quaint yet stylish, and the staff and service are second to none.
Complimentary breakfast is limited, would have preferred toast to pastries, we ended up paying to have additional items.

Central location and well-equipped rooms with robes, slippers, and toiletries.
Check-in was a disaster, with rude and unhelpful staff, and the room was so small I didn't have enough space to open a suitcase.
