A+++. Fantastic stay and excellent choice for solo traveler or couple.

My first trip to Tybee Island so booking online can be a gamble, when you don't know the area. I stayed in the B&B portion of the DeSoto which was really special. It's been a B&B in that exact house and location since 1936. The location on the island was perfect for exploring either end —the south end has a lot of bars, shops and dining while the north end has the historical features and some pretty fabulous restaurants that are highly rated. Being beachfront, the walk to the beach took just a minute. I didn't use the small pool but several guests seemed to be enjoying it. Rick, the Scottish host was phenomenal. He left wine and cheese in the evening, turned on the shared space lights and provided a delicious home-cooked breakfast the next morning. He's also a font of information about the area and also Savannah. There are lots of options to stay on Tybee but for a solo traveler or a couple this place is IDEAL. You can't go wrong. A+++

Not a con at all but I traveled solo, with a carryon so I didn't have a beach towel or ice chest to take down to the beach. There is a souvenir store right across the street to purchase these items. It could be useful to have some extra beach towels on hand for guests but again, in no way is not having them an issue. I was there for one night only so purchasing supplies didn't make sense in my situation.

We had so much fun and such a mellow lazy time!

Neat suite on the top floor of the BNB. Balcony looking out between other building to the beach. Older but quaint and charming. Loved our house host!

The bed was a little soft.

We would stay again ! The Beach Bum Parade was so fun !

It was great to have breakfast ready in the morning and not have to try and go anywhere to eat. The food was good, snacks were a nice touch, the covered porch and swing (hammock) was wonderful, and very relaxing, House had alot of character and was kept up fairly well and clean. Good location.

The only thing that was uncomfortable in our room was the warmth at night. It got very stuffy in the room at night. There is no ceiling fan so the air circulation was bad at night while trying to sleep.

A wonderful get away

Delightful bed and breakfast on a relaxing beach. Quiet and enjoyable. Lynn and her daughter were so sweet they make your Breakfast and see that you are comfortable. It was a very private place. The other two guests were equally pleasant. It was a great trip.

Enjoyed the staff

Lynn. Every morning then inn keeper greeted us for breakfast, held a wonderful conversation, and was super helpful at giving us ideas for how to spend our days/things to do or see. I would come back and stay simply to see Lynn again. The B&B was a 30 second walk to the beach.

Parking. They provide enough parking for one vehicle per room. Somehow, last night stay all the spaces were taken before we came back. I called the guest services to figure out the parking because it says you will be towed and I was instructed to park in the handicap space. Solved the problem but didn’t really make sense how the problem arose. If someone had been staying in the ADA room there would have been no parking available.

We liked our stay because of location and very friendly hostesses!

Great location,next to crispy clean beach.Very quite and secure place to stay.Property has 3 rooms only,we stayed at Atlantic room with partial ocean view.Very welcoming staff,Lynn and her daughter Shelly.They served typical American breakfast every morning.

Everything outdated.Furniture,tiny TV. No thermostat in the room,you can’t adjust temperature if needed.Door locks from our room to ocean facing balcony were broken,we weren’t able to open it.Living room doors locks, to the same balcony,also were broken,they were replaced with simple latch,that isn’t’ adding security. Shower very small,not enough space for regular American.Shower floor was not properly sloped,because of that you forced to stay in paddle,that builds up next to drain. Next to the property water tower with 5G antennas on top! Place really needs deep cleaning!Very dusty!

The location is perfect. We walked right out to the beach and it was lovely. We were able to rent chairs and an umbrella from the hotel which was absolutely necessary for me. The staff were SO incredibly nice. They made us feel so welcomed.

The room was a little warm but it was very hot outside so that’s probably why.

We were inconvenienced and ruined part of our time at Tybee Island.

I liked the location and loved the hostess, Lynn Becker. She is a jewel and made our morning very pleasant. We enjoyed the balcony and space once we were moved to the correct room. I also liked tbe claw tub in the suite. It was clean and gave character tp the place.

We reserved the Suite with a balcony and ocean view, however, they gave our room to another couple. When they realized their mistake, they did not want to inconvenience them. Instead, we were forced to take a much smaller room without a view or balcony., and spent part of the next day packing up so we could move to the room we should have had to begin with. This was our only day at the beach before heading to Savannah to finish out our anniversary and vacation. The other issue was the carpet was greasy and sticky and definitely needs to be replaced. The shower in the suite was very small and had mildew on it.

Parking was a bit challenging. The room is under a ginormous cell tower. Not enough outlets for plugging in devices. The worst was there is no comfort control for air conditioning so room was freezing the first night and day.
