Located right on the ocean. Great walking path behind the hotel. Nice fire pits and dog friendly.
No breakfast available which was listed at time of booking. Not sure if it was due to Covid restrictions. No daily room service.

Our room was clean, huge and modern, overlooking the beach. The fireplace was a wonderful touch. The property backs up to a bike/walking path, and has unobstructed views of the ocean. Ft Bragg is not too far from Medocino, so Beachcomber Motel is a wonderful alternative if you cannot find accommodation in Mendocino.
It is a 20 minute walk to town, not too bad, but we were thankful there is a taxi in town.

Location
Needs to be updated-bathrooms especially. Mattresses need to be replaced, small pillows. Some of the office employees were not that helpful.

The view, 0the room was toasty warm, the bed was okay, and the shower was plenty hot.
That damn toilet. too low, too short for guys, and no grab bars for old arthritic pharts like me. :) I have to leave the door open and grab the door handle and the door frame to get up and down. I'm surprised that Mendocino County hasn't dinged you guys on this before.

Location and overall cleanliness of the room
For the price you would think they offered at least continental breakfast

Location is absolutely amazing right on the coastal preserve. Every room with a view of the ocean.
The beds were super uncomfortable. Absolutely no support. We sunk way down into the mattress. Obviously, the mattresses were very old and beyond their time

The service was awful, room was dirty, glass door was tarnished a d could not see through it.
The room, the housekeeping were very loud. Played loud music while they cleaned rooms and very unprofessional

great view of course. Nice gas bbq. Very relaxing... Very polite cleaning staff. Over all amenties were excellent.
Front desk not very nice. Web site states continental breakfast but they are still using covid as an excuse to save money. The free coffee was terrible. They need to start buying new mattresses.... AC wasn't working

Among the 4 lodgings we booked over a week of travel, beachcomber was the cleanest, most comfortable beds and beautiful location. 100% would book again.
Time flew too quickly to really appreciate the surroundings

Literally on a beautiful beach. The grounds are very nice. With several fire pits and outdoor seating. Clean dog park on the property. Lots of trails within walking distance. Our room had a kitchenette
Unfortunately, the spa is no longer here. Still, my favorite place to stay though.

How big the room was
The parking is very bad!
We ended up scratching and denting the side of our truck trying to get in the driveway.
Not very happy about that

The location and views are perfect. Loved the fireplaces.
Cockroach’s in our room and had to be moved twice. Staff wouldn’t even apologize or acknowledge this issue.
A few days after a manager called and apologized about our experience and said she would give a full refund and the rooms sprayed. Haven’t received anything yet so we will see if they follow through.

The view from the private back patio of your room
Amazing location for beautiful views and waking up to see sunsets and the sun go down. Minutes away from restaurants and stores.

The view was incredible. We sat on the patio every evening and watched the sunset, listening to the roar of the waves. Every morning and evening, while getting ready to go out for a local adventure, we had the large sliding glass door open, enjoying the fresh, salty air, the mesmerizing sound of the ocean, and the cacophony of wild birds declaring their presence. With the sun set, we ventured to the firepits and roasted marshmallows and chatted with new found friends, sharing our love of the area over a glass of wine.
Though clean and spacious was the overall room, we wish the bathroom was a tad larger. Nothing that we couldn't work around! We were just spoiled with our larger than necessary bathrooms at home! We appreciated the large space in the bedroom area.
