About this apartment rental
A sensational and handsomely furnished 18th century 1st floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for 4 with vast Georgian windows looking directly over the River Avon, Pulteney Bridge, historic Bath stone buildings and the rolling countryside beyond.
This exceptional building, with a rare vantage point in the centre of this beautiful city, makes for a truly memorable experience. The spectacular southerly views, along with the sound of water flowing over the weir, are enchanting. It has been lauded as the best location in the city of Bath and is featured in many Bath postcards.
The building was designed by Robert Adam c. 1790 and today this magnificent apartment has been beautifully restored, retaining wonderful period detail along with luxurious contemporary adaptations. It is adjacent to the famous Pulteney Bridge, which is featured in many postcards and souvenirs and, like the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, is lined with shops on either side. Being at the heart of the city, it is easy to explore the sights on foot.
The grand living and dining room makes an impact, with its extraordinary double height ceiling, flamboyant decorative cornices and three vast floor to ceiling windows. There are two large comfortable gold sofas to seat 6 and a vintage easy chair. Large mirrored alcoves with gold lamps house an oak desk and sideboard with a wall mounted TV adjacent. The sideboard has a selection of games and books, with Wi Fi and phone located in the bedroom. The contemporary dining setting in front of fabulous views, comfortably seats 6. Beside this area under a curved mezzanine is the kitchen.
The contemporary bespoke fitted kitchen has clean lines and top of the range appliances. There is an induction hob, electric oven, and microwave. Elegantly concealed are a large fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine combined with dryer.
On the mezzanine level is another comfortable lounge area with river views. There is a large sofa for 3, two comfortable armchairs and two occasional chairs along with side tables and lamps for reading.
There are two charming double bedrooms. The first has a pretty chandelier, 5’ king sized bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and easy chair with two original sash windows overlooking Pulteney Bridge Road. The second room has a pretty 4’6” double bed and a large contemporary ensuite shower room with a shower, hand basin and wc.
There is a spacious tiled bathroom tucked under the mezzanine, with a contemporary walk-in shower, hand basin, wc, utility cupboard and a small recessed window with a unique view of Pulteney bridge.
Everything that this lovely historic city has to offer is within easy reach, the closest of which is the Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Theatre Royal and the Therme Spa. There are many museums and galleries as well as a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Exploring on foot will lead to many wonderful discoveries and you will never be far from your beautiful retreat.
A parking permit is provided for one car to park in any of the resident bays around the property on a first come basis This is only available for holidays completed by 8th October 2022. Alternatively, the bus and train stations are less than a 10 minute walk.

We stayed in this property six years ago, likely right after it was renovated and it was amazing. So it was hard seeing it look a little tired. Was not pulled together as well as it could be. I centred rugs, lamps were askew so put them tight, electrical cords everywhere, lampshades loose, bulbs missing. Just a lack of organizing. Really could use a paint job in the main room. Just looks like the cleaners are pretty haphazard. I straightened a lot of things up and it started to feel better. It’s a wonderful apartment but not getting the love. I would stay there again and recommend it but would be nice if owners were paying better attention.

What a wonderful apartment with a magnificent view. Very spacious and comfortable. Close to everything.

Loved the apartment—well appointed and comfortable. Views were great, and you couldn’t ask for a better location. Only criticism is the mattress in the larger bedroom was due for replacement. But the overall ambiance of the place made up for it.

This apartment has a million-dollar view of the Pulteney weir on the Avon River. It’s ideally located on the bridge, and close to shopping, restaurants, cafes, galleries, and museums. We found it to be clean and tidy. We stayed mid-June, however, and found it to be incredibly hot. Opening the windows at night and using the two fans did little to help. We experienced issues with plumbing (one of the toilets leaked) and laundry (the dryer failed to work) as well.

Very comfortable and extremely clean place with the best view of the Wye. Bed linen was nice. The larger bedroom was luxurious with nice pieces of antique furniture. The lounge area is very relaxing after a busy day. The bathroom was good with a shower and little window showing the bridge.

This is the spot you want to be to access the city and surroundings. It’s perfect with a 5min walk in all directions.
The accommodation is modern and quirky. Clean and comfortable. There is a French and two steak restaurants downstairs, and of course a cake shop with good coffee. Fell in love with the city and would definitely book this accommodation again.

Wow what a flat. Amazing views of the weir from the huge windows in the main room. The flat is very spacious, well maintained and super clean. Very convenient location to lots of pubs, restaurants, shopping and local attractions. The provided guidebook was a huge help. Beds were very comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to finish our UK adventure. Clare was very helpful and always available.

We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property right on the Pulteney Bridge. We only stayed for 2 nights before moving on to London and I wish we would have stayed at least one more as this property was one of the highlights of our trip. The views of the water are stunning and it's centrally located to everything you'd want to do in Bath.

Excellent location
I can honestly say, I have never stayed in an accommodation so centrally located. The view of the river from the apartment was spectacular too! Bedding was very comfortable. The main bedroom with en suite was slightly small. However, I would definitely recommend this place.

After Edinburgh, York and London we wanted a quiet place to unwind from our busy holiday and we definitely found it here in Bath. This property puts you in the middle of everything you want to see. Best of all it is roomy, grand and has a view to die for. Very quiet at night, though we were there during the week days. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to just relax and take it easy.Hank & Jennifer

Incredible apartment in a perfect location
I stayed here with a group of friends and it was nothing short of perfect. The apartment is in a great location-only a short walk away from everything to do and see; it is the perfect size for 6 people, with plenty of living space and good sized bedrooms (even the sofa bed is in its own secluded area); the kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything you might need including an espresso machine with a milk frother and even an egg timer! My only minor quarrel is that there wasn’t a recycling bin which I think should be a necessity. Overall a brilliant apartment, perfectly located and well equipped- thank you so much for our stay!

Loved the Argyle Street flat!
Six of us stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved it. We had the most amazing view of the weir and the Abbey. The furnishings were wonderful, the beds comfortable (apart from the sofa bed which two of us shared - not good). We were especially pleased to find the kitchen very well stocked with all the equipment we needed for cooking for meals to in. We were very centrally located and could walk everywhere. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome 3 day holiday stay
Location was great. A little noisy at night from
All the drunk people walking across the bridge but it wasn’t to bad. Parking was a pain but we only had to do it once so not a big deal parking far away. Absolutely great location for Walking everywhere. View of the wier and the sound of water flowing was very soothing. Would definitely book again.

Perfect location
The Argyle River View apartment is the perfect location for exploring Bath. Our family loved it. The apartment is nicely furnished and decorated. We explored all of Bath, walking every day. We also took a day trip to Stonehenge which was fabulous. The apartment is lacking storage space in the kitchen for food items and we had to deal with lots of noise at 3 am on the weekends from young people partying near the bridge. That was most unfortunate. Other than that, great all around.

We stayed in several places in Bath before but this is definitely the best we have experienced.

Lovely location and view over the river
We stayed here with 6 people in June, and for a weekend there was enough space for all. The location is really perfect and the view over the river lovely. The flat is very comfortable and everything was in good working order. It was a very authentic Bath experience to stay in such a lovely Georgian flat.
We were very grateful that Alexa & Sara were able to facilitate us with both an early check in and check out which made such a difference to our stay. Everything went smoothly with regards to booking, hiring portacots/highchairs, check in/out and deposits.
I would highly recommend this flat and would stay again.

Best Location in Bath
The Argyle Riverview flat is a perfect starting point to tour Bath and the apartment views are spectacular. The apartment has plenty of room and all the necessary amenities. The street parking was always available close to the flat. We will definitely consider it again next time we are near Bath. Alexa was prompt and always willing to assist.

Fabulous property, fabulous location!
The Argyle Riverview is a great apartment in a central location. Great view, walking distance to everything in Bath! Marcus was there to greet us upon arrival, quick overview of the area, and we were good to go. Very nice welcome bottle of wine. chocolate, cereal and milk. Very welcome after a long overnight flight.
This apartment was perfect for 4 adults- one bedroom is on the small side, but has an ensuite bathroom, and was plenty of room for 2 of us during our stay. There is plenty of "living space" , including a nice upper level reading area. Clean and well appointed, this is absolutely a wonderful choice for exploring Bath. Bath was a nice accompaniment to our time in London- I would definitely recommend a visit to this area!
