The property is beautiful. Smaller than I thought but still nice for me and my husband. Our room was private in its own area and was beautiful. The room was extremely clean.
The bed was hard and the shower had no pressure.

Historical home. Was comfortable.

It's a lovely house, but not nearly as nice as the pictures make it seem the room was spacious and nicely decorated.
The beds and pillows were hard and not comfortable.
The grounds were dirty, with trash and tools laying around.
The drain of the Jacuzzi was broken. We called for assistance but were not able to speak to anyone, so spent about 15-20 minutes fixing it. Someone called us back the next day and we explained. There was no apology or offer of assistance, they just said they were "glad we figured it out."
Breakfast was another poor experience. We were given a couple options, but were disappointed. My husband's fried eggs were dirty, and my scrambled eggs were burnt. The croissants were dry and hard. The meal was essentially uneatable, so we went into town to buy breakfast.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, spacious room, delicious breakfast
A bit run down/needing repairs outside, but nothing that affected our stay

The house was breathtaking. Clean, comfortable, cozy and inviting. The owner was friendly and made us feel welcomed from the moment we got there.
There was not a single thing we didn’t like.

It was beautiful. We loved everything about this place. Staff was friendly. Clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our room was on the balcony. Even though we were so close to the railroad tracks; we didn't hear a thing.
No a/c in hot summer(would not get cool): Our room was very uncomfortable from the heat. We called for a fan, and no one arrived. We barely slept. Breakfast: I do wish they didn't have a set meal. I have a food allergy to peppers and didn't expect breakfast to one meal fits all.😞 Even cereal with toast would have been a great second option.

We love this Inn and have stayed there several times.

The house is beautiful. I am sure there is a lot of history to be discovered here. We only stayed overnight, so we didn't get a chance to explore. The staff, the two we met, were very sweet and helped us get our bags up and down the stairs. The bathroom was very nice. The room was nice as well. I wish we had had more time to explore. We both have degrees in history, and it is one of the reasons we picked this lodging.
Our bed was excruciatingly hard to sleep on. The sheets were very nice, the memory pillows were equally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bed has a huge, I don't know if lump is the correct term here, but suffice it to say, it was large and ran through the middle of the bed. It hit me at my stomach, my wife in her back, or her side. If you laid on your back, with your head level, big hump, and feet lowered over the hump you might get an idea. Imagine the "Kilroy was here" meme, and you will see what I mean. The other reason we picked this place was all of the reviews about how good the breakfast was. We were very much looking forward to the amazing breakfast that was in the pictures. Alas, no, scrambled eggs, cold undercooked home fries, and a cold croissant. I understand that staffing has become an issue across the nation. We all have to be understanding about staffing issues. We just would have appreciated a note on the listing that due to staffing issues, breakfast would be simple. I don't know what the other beds are like, and we didn't stay in a cabin, so I can not speak to those. I imagine they are all wonderful. It may just be the Evangeline room.

The room and atmosphere were nice.
The manager seemed nervous and stressed out. The bed was hard. Lots of rules.

Was incredibly pleased with our stay! The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owner, Chris, and his staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Will definitely book again!

The room we booked shared a porch with 2 other rooms. We walked up and someone was smoking heavily on the porch. It made our room smell like smoke. The room was clean, but overall looos worn down. For $160 for the night definitely not worth the money

The place was very nice and the room was very clean.
A bit unorganized. To get into the main house for breakfast, we had to call the main number for someone to let us in. Not very much direction on services like check in and check out. We just had to keep calling the main number for someone to come let us in the main house. We didn't get any breakfast because after waiting 20 minutes, we stopped one of the girls who was serving breakfast to ask her about putting in an order and she told us that they were busy today and it was still going to be a while.

Our room was relaxing which was what we wanted.
Lacking in warm southern hospitality & breakfast wasn't what we expected from a B&B.

everything except the breakfast
breakfast. no choice of even how your egg is prepared.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The room felt very private and no disturbances from other guests.
I can't say there was anything I didn't like about my stay.

Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Beautiful, historic property.
Creole cottage was a bit dated. I'd recommend an upgrade to the properties outside of the main house. Not a deal breaker; I'd still recommend.
