I should have asked for help with the TV. I should have brought groceries. My bad. I went to Subway and paid 20 and change for a sandwich. the guy that ran Subway was an Idiot. I felt sorry for his employees.

Restaurant wasn't open when we left
When we checked in the young lady at the front desk tried charging me an EXTRA $117.00 for the room although I had paid for it and I tried showing it to her but she said she would take it up with her manager. I never heard anything. Another thing the rooms were very hot. Need a.c.

The service this was amazing. I was worried about my travel and timing it all and she absolutely worked with me on check in time.
The only issue for me was lack of in room ac. Yet it was a good cabin and the size was worth it.

Elk horn Cafe personally is the best breakfast spot around ! Fair price good size servings . Friendly service bright homey ambiance. I definitely will be back
Someone should be manning the front desk during buissness hours . However they were prompt in responding when ring button was pushed . Just nice to walk into a reception and be greeted and some warm coffee.

The room was large clean and comfortable yes it is rustic but it was exactly what we expected it is located just outside of the town proper but has a cafe right next to the property the beds were comfortable and the down comforters were perfect for the area and the coming winter.

Room was clean.
Ran out of coffee and Kleenex. Left a note, but staff didn’t respond. Thought I’d be in a cabin, but it was a room.

Have stayed before on my way to Chama for a yearly elk hunt. This is not the four seasons but is exactly what you would expect coming to the mountains. It’s clean, the staff is friendly and the scenery is amazing! You are about 1/4 mile from downtown. The restaurant next door is great. I love this place!

Be aware. The only “restaurant” open was Subway. There is a bar which serves the usual limited menu. The bar itself is rowdy, really did not seem clean. We went in, looked around and left. The folks who live in the town are very nice. My heart goes out to them, the handling of Covid has definitely negatively impacted this lovely village. There is a small restaurant near the hotel, however the hours are very limited. There is a well stocked grocery store in town. We were there to ride the train. Had no idea restaurants were limited.
Really, with Covid, closure of so many small businesses in the town, loss of workers, etc. these folks are doing the best they can.

Older place that has been refurbed. Hardwood floors. Very clean

Breakfast didn’t offer much, for my wife who has celiac’s. So, we didn’t eat at the lodge. That said the staff were friendly.
It’sa small issue, but our coffee pot has coffee in it, along with the bath having a little hair from previous lodges.

Location. Check in staff was friendly.
Bags of trash on porch and in parking lot in front of room. Shower head, which hits below chest height, had just a trickle of water coming out. Not possible to really get a shower.
