Private, quiet.
No answer to this. Loved everything about it

I liked how it wasn’t your traditional hotel . Going through the gates driving to your bungalow felt special.
The hours of the restaurant.

The area
The jacuzzi was not operational.

beautiful property, rims were nice and comfortable
parking spaces limited and so when we got back from dinner we couldn’t park in front of our room. it would be nice to have a space assigned for at least one guest by room.

First, please know that overall our stay at Carter Estate was wonderful - the grounds are beautiful, the wine tasting staff greeted us, welcomed us, was informative; the wine tasting at Carter and South Coast was enjoyable. The room at Carter was delightful - cozy, warm, a nice breakfast; the room was clean and well stocked with towels; we appreciate that the room includes so much seating space (couch, chair, table with 4 chairs) and a fridge. < ALL of that was wonderful!
The issue we experienced is the Registration staff - upon arrival we were not greeted or welcomed, we were told to expect a call when the room was ready - no one called (check in staff confirmed my phone number); when we came back after tasting at the Carter tasting room, the same check in staff dismissed us when we kindly asked why we weren't notified the room was ready. The staff member flippantly said, my manager was supposed to do that... lame, irresponsible, immature.
Upon check out, we experienced different staff but the same incompetence and inability to greet, welcome, and interact with patrons... what's the problem here Carter?
The place is great, the wine tasting staff and experience is great, but check in and check out bookend a vacation and Carter Estate hires inconsiderate staff to interact with their guests and that is disappointing.

We enjoyed the views of the vineyards and being able to step outside of our room to watch the sunrise or set. The rooms were very spacious.
The bed was so uncomfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I felt more beat up than rested in the morning. The jacuzzi tub had algae in the jets, so we couldn’t use it. The noise factor of someone going in or out from the hall door leading into front door room was so loud. It definitely startled me when I was asleep especially when your neighbor kept going in and out.

Secluded, quiet place where you can relax and wind down with your partner. Patios towards the vinyard offer a great view. Rooms are very well equipped and maintained. Nice pool. Awesomly huge bathroom.
UberEats or similar services didn't deliver to there at night but that's not Carter's fault. A second public hot tub and more options for breakfast would be great.

location
using booking evidently placed us in a handicap accessible room with no door on the bathroom or privacy.
open shower drained to the toilet so you had to stand or sit in an inch of water when using the bathroom.
no housekeeping came to tidy the room or replace towels the three nights we were there.
4.3
small size, right in the vineyard, location amoung the wineries, and the rooms.
4.3
The view, and waking up in the morning and seeing the hot air balloons
There should be a restaurant on site and the bed was a pullout couch bed... our neighbors ended up getting up grades due to that fact.
4.3
Location for balloons
Dirty Socks and Flip flop left in room. Hot tub didn't work and phone was out for at least one day.

Stayed in a bungalow with vineyard right outside the patio. Great view of hot air balloons floating over vineyard,
good breakfast.
They need a restaurant.

The resort was great
The staff was so/so. The first day we arrived a old guy came towards us in a cart and offered to take our luggage, we said we could do it, but he insisted to. later on that day we asked for help, he said "go ask your agent, I'm off the clock. No one explained that when they say breakfast was included, that you had to pay for some items. We stayed there four days, no one came to give us fresh sheets or towels.

The location of this property was perfect. Localized to both main winery roads. The views were phenomenal. Really accommodating for those with service dogs and the front desk staff are absolutely lovely! Some of the kindest people! Really fantastic customer service.
The room shares a wall with another villa and the doors in and out are very loud. our neighbors were in and out around 5:30am-6:45am-8:00am and again at 9:00. Not easy to sleep through and the sound is a bit jarring. There could have been an extra blanket for use if needed. We’re used to having direct access in the closet. I tried to find the number for the front desk in the room but it’s not listed on the phone or on the packet we get our keys. I ended up purchasing one to keep on the way home from target so I knew I’d get the weight needed. The only other downfall was the bathroom shower had a dual head but unable to use both at once, it was a switch between one and the other. It took a while to heat up and the shower was slow to drain. I mentioned this to the front office as we checked out as it smelled a bit of sewage when it was draining. They were going to send someone out to take a look. The other thing, was the power went out for about 12hrs. It wasn’t the properties fault, there was some roadwork and something must have happened there to cause the issues at Carter, just a bit of a hiccup in the evening. We ended up watching shows from my husbands laptop :)
