A lot of amenities but not a good ones. The property is not good maintained. Sadly it might be a good one long times ago. Swimming pool is good.
Very dirty and smell no good. There are jacuzzi but very dirty so we can’t use at all.

The location was excellent! The food in the restaurant was decent and the service was pretty good.
The place needs a remodel ASAP. For being in such a great location the building needs to be updated. The hot tubs were covered when we arrived and the only one that looked safe enough to get in to smelled like it was filled with straight chlorine.

The location to the ski resort is wonderful, the staff was very nice and the rooms are spacious.
The restaurant was closed with no indication on website, none of the 3 hot tubs worked, temp did not get over 93 and the parking lot is way too small for the size of the lodge.

it's close to Monarch ski area. About the only plus
it's a dump. one person working a 5 story hotel. Restaurant non operational so we had to go to Salida. Don't waste your time, stay in town.

Room was cold, bathtub would not drain properly. We stayed at Monarch Lodge because of the closeness to the ski area and because they had a restaurant. When we checked in, we were informed that the restaurant was closed due to a lack of staff. We had not planned for this and had to make multiple trips to Salida for meals.

I mistakenly booked wrong hotel. And mountain lodge would not refund my money. Guess they needed it more than my family. Poor customer service 😢 😞

I love the great location! Only 5 miles from Monarch Mountain.
There was only 1 person cooking food at the hotel restaurant so the wait for food was a long time. Breakfast was not available.

Too few staff members to operate at the capacity
People were out sick
Long wait times for drinks and food

Helpful staff, great view, the room was large, the TV had many channels. The hotel takes you back in time.
Terrible WiFi, the hotel is very outdated and far from everything, the price was a bit high.

the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.
It’s very worn down looking. The pictures online don’t match what you see in person. It’s not worth the price that was paid.

The room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable.
no dinner upon arrival was available despite the fact that the web site and booking.com specifically mentioned the possibility - we were hungry and had no choice but to manage with snacks until the morning.
The facility itself is VERY old (80's) and need desperate renovation. Location was out of town, and no other facilitues are available, so not ideal unless you have full facilities from the Monarch (which as mentioned were not available)

Didn’t like this place at all
Dirty room (lots of hair everywhere from previous guests, dirty bed linen - even had a moth under the blanket). super noisy with people stomping through the hallway and fighting and screaming at nighttime. Noisy road in front of the room. No staff at reception at night or during checkout time. Complaints are ignored. Nobody gives a damn. Totally overpriced!!!

Went for a hike across the street. Rained hard on us on the way down from Boss Reservoir. Cleaned up then were thrilled there was a restaurant onsite because did not want to leave to find food in the rain. New waitress was slammed but she rocked it and was super sweet. Food was perfect and well priced. We had our big yellow lab with us and had to be switched to a different "family" room than the one originally booked and was more expensive but we werent asked to pay more.
I specifically booked this hotel bc it allowed dogs. Upon arrival the front desk said there was a fee for pets. This was not mentioned at the time of reserving - nor was it mentioned when I called to double check the reservation before arrival and spoke with the front desk. Told him we had a dog but the deluxe room we booked didn't allow them. That should've been caught prior to arrival. Thank goodness there was a family room available for us.
