This was our second time here and every bit as awesome as the first visit! Beautiful property, quiet, easy access, very comfortable.
Side road under construction

Good value. Friendly staff and breakfast. Located next to large supermarket and strip mall nice workout room
Carpet and floors in room filthy. Was unaware it is pet friendly but for us no problem.

It was a very clean room. The facility was very quiet.
I wish there could have been a restaurant on site. Also, having a refrigerator in every room would have been nice.

The location was great and loved the fountain in the middle of the court yard
I should have gotten a queen instead of a full, but now I know for next time

Ms. Anetta at the front desk was very friendly. The courtyard was beautiful. Loved learning about the history of the building and the area.
We had nothing but trouble since we got there. First we were given a room on the 3rd floor even though my wife was on crutches. The elevator was broken and it was very difficult for her to climb the steps.
We were told when we arrived that there were no clean towels and they'd bring us some as soon as they were ready. We never received our towels. My son had to dry off with dirty clothes after his shower.
Speaking of dirt, the floors were filthy. All of our feet were covered in black dirt. We couldn't let the babies crawl around on the floor it was so dirty. Also there were insufficient electrical outlets in the room. The blinds don't close all the way either and don't stay closed because they're all broken.
When we checked in, we were told that we had to be back by 11p or we'd be locked out. I don't appreciate having a curfew on my vacation.
On day 2 we were rudely awakened by the front desk guy asking us why we hadn't left yet. It has only been 1 night but we paid for two. My daughter had to go down to the front desk with screenshots of the booking.com confirmation to prove that the error was on their end.
I called the number given to me several times to address these issues but it goes to VM and the mailbox is full.

The historical details of the room were beautiful. The ceiling height, the wide wooden plank floors, the windows, the ornamental iron balcony and the marble fireplace. I loved the courtyard with the fountain. And the location was perfect within walking distance to restaurant's and activities. This is where I will stay whenever I come to Mobile.
I liked everything.

The location is perfect. The staff was excellent. Charming building and clean. The pricing is reasonable.
The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint and new rugs and carpet. But that takes a lot of money.

The history still felt there but the bathroom and bed and being modern made it comfy while still being in such history for a hotel. Being able to appreciate the history while still being comfy was perfect.

proximity to the restaurants, parks,
historic neighborhoods
evening staff were unfriendly and the first room was not very clean
8.0
The history of the building. Both staff employees were personable. I’ll enjoy returning.
The exterior is in need of power washing. The courtyard and entrance need some scrubbing. The elevators were not working properly and the Wi-Fi was down.

when I saw the pictures online, my first thought was that I could not afford it. However, the rates are extremely fair considering the atmosphere. It is just gorgeous and so well-maintained even though there might be a little construction going on, I am in love with this place, and I do not want to leave.
I think everything’s perfect there’s no such thing as a perfect property so if I had to say something, maybe an extra quilt in the winter months

The whole feel of this place speaks of the era and its beautiful. The authentic feeling of this hotel is phenomenal. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were huge with that antique feeling. The large king size bed in my room was like my grandmother's bed ( I slept like a baby) soft and bouncy. The smell was old but not offputting or offensive just aged. The court yard was beautiful and decorated with the Holloween theme. I would love to stay here again.
Nothing everything was awesome.

Elegant and tasteful. Very clean. Great staff. Across the street from the Civic Center where I was going to a concert
Would have liked a continental breakfast-just something to grab and go

Historic old hotel is beautiful and in a breathtaking location lined with old oak trees. It is walking distance to all the night life on dauphin street but still quiet. The court yard was a gorgeous spot to sit and get some morning computer work done. The staff was top notch, incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt like part of the family. Once the hotel is polished I'd love to stay again my next trip to mobile. Again, I can not overstate how amazing every part of the staff is. they take southern hospitality to another level.
the hotel is a little rough around the edges and it is obvious that it is going through a facelift at the moment. The hot water heater was out to our room and no one was on staff to fix it. I splurged and booked a room with the balcony but had to switch to a less desirable room with working hot water. The staff was very helpful in switching us to a new room, refunded the difference in price and apologized profusely. It was just a little bit of letdown because the room with the balcony was so cool. It had stained glass windows that let in beautiful natural light, red velvet embossed wall paper, antique furniture, and a window that stretched from the floor to the ceiling let you out to the balcony. The bathroom looked like it was recently renovated. Shame there was no hot water.
