Location was great, within walking distance of beach access and downtown South Lake Tahoe. Number of outdoor amenities was above average. Staff was very sociable, helpful, and friendly. Shared kitchen area was nice.
The pool and hot tub areas were not clean/well-kept, and they needed updated. There were outdoor fire pits, but they were dirty and sticky from people roasting marshmallows on them. There were very limited tables in the room to set stuff on. The room decor was aesthetically pleasing, but the lighting was dim. Aesthetically it was nice, but functionally it fell short.

Clean and cute rooms. Plus so many amenities! Beach access with a ticket from the hotel is so nice only a few blocks away. S’mores at night was so fun around the fire pit. It’s so close to many yummy restaurants and fun activities. I’ve stayed here a few times and always felt very comfortable as a solo traveler!
It’s hard not to like this place!

Great location. The fire pit area was really nice.
The bad: couch in the room is terribly uncomfortable. I mean - awful. Light in master didn’t work. Shower door broken. Kitchen provided but not stocked with soap or sponges or anything practical to use it. Lighting TERRIBLE! Bikes so outdated that I almost hurt myself riding because brakes don’t work. Grounds were littered and just in general the overall maintenance was quite poor. Staff were just great! Friendly and kind. Not sure we would stay here again though.

Such a cute remodel and the staff was so welcoming/helpful!

I loved the vibe of the lobby area! I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a hotel lobby like this one. Bikes. Smores. Good drinks. Such a cute hotel remodel. Loved the details in the room, to include the heated toilet seat! Location wise: it was nice to be away from the tourist trap areas of Tahoe
Our bathroom door didn’t shut fully. Didn’t really mind it.

The location is okay walking distance to downtown and beach front
The room is dusty and the comforter is pretty old

Such comfy mattresses and pillows. Loved the little extras like s’mores night at the fire pit, free bikes for guests , free beach pass, complimentary coffee tea at any time.Room was VERY clean.

It was convenient, clean and comfortable!
No elevator, but we were still totally fine without one!

Location and design was great
The entry or walkway to the reception/main office was dangerous and unsafe. The cement squares had large unfilled gaps that I tripped over. Imagine anyone elderly or handicapped trying to get to the office. Hopefully they get them filled in ASAP.

nice staff
it felt like an upgraded motel 6. The heater didn’t work the the shampoo conditioner body wash and lotion were all empty and room was cheaply put together

The burrito and the parfait was our favorite.
The people upstairs wouldn’t stop stomping. They were making noise after 11pm which was frustrating.
Someone’s alarm was going off for 2 hours after midnight.

Cool vibes, great area to play board games and eat/drink all different things, smores night, big rooms, good showers, good TV as well modern
The walls were thin, so you could hear Alot if you know what I mean, we didn't have some amenities filled or there, You have to call for an iron and iron board, the pillows were not the best

I stayed at The Coachman for nine nights and it was one of the best experiences I have had staying at a hotel. This is coming from someone who has been traveling for the last eight years to 28 different countries. The staff are super friendly and incredibly accommodating. My favorite parts of my day were hanging out in the lobby/bar area in the morning sipping on mimosas and eating breakfast before walking the short distance to the Gondola and in the evening after getting off the slopes enjoying a glass of wine and getting to know the staff and other guests. The hot tub and heated pool were a huge plus and we used them nearly every night to relax and unwind. The price and location cannot be beat with all of the great amenities that are provided. I really just wanted to move in by the end of my stay here. I would absolutely stay here again during my next visit to South Lake Tahoe!
Everything was great!

We loved the outdoor heated pool and hot tub!
Breakfast options were limited and expensive for what it was

Lovely friendly staff and great bar/communal lounge/fire pit area. No pressure to buy drinks in order to enjoy the facilities. Hot tub at end of the day was bliss.
The rooms cd have done with more hanging space esp for bulky wet ski kit

The amenities were amazing. The common areas were absolutely pleasant, we loved the pool and hot tub, the fire pit, the kitchen. It was a great vacation with my partner, our kid and our dog.
There was construction happening right next to our bedroom and unfortunately they were fully booked so they couldn’t move us to a different room.

Location
It was very poor quality of the proper for such money. The room has very cold floors, very cold in the bathroom, no any shelves in the bathroom (no place to put anything near the sink), no any table and chair . There was a kettle in the room but there was no outlet where to plug it in. And they changed us $84 additional fee for the dog supposedly for additional cleaning. Such an impression that we stayed at the hotel for $100/night. We will never stay in this hotel any more and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Rustikales Hotel am Lake Tahoe mit kleiner Bar und Grill. See fussläufig zu erreichen.

Location is good, restaurants, casinos and beaches are minutes away.
A bit overpriced however it's in the peak tourist season.

The coachmen was in the ideal location to all the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe, yet also removed enough to feel relaxed and secluded.
Only suggestion I’d make is to fix the jets in the hot tub that didn’t work.

So excited to come back! The common areas were amazing, we didn’t want to leave the hotel. Lots to do around there, and we were able to walk most of the places we wanted to go. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Since my last stay in May 2023, I couldn’t wait to come back! Amenities and staff were great, as expected. This time around, it was much warmer. The pool was wonderful and we still participated in the s’mores activity. Last time I was here, it was just my boyfriend and I. This time, we brought my little brother as a birthday gift and he had a blast!!!
Leaving!!!

We liked the location. It was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The AC in the room was amazing, but didn’t need it often. It was very quiet, no noise to speak of.
For the price we would have expected to be in the main complex of this motel. Instead, we were across the street in a second complex. There is no coffee machine in these rooms, some water glasses, but no mugs even. You have to cross the street to reach the complimentary coffee and tea areas. Their main complex is quite nice. We were not aware there were two areas to this hotel. The nearby beaches had fees to enter.

Such a cute & relaxing hotel. Excellent location.
The s’mores, the laid back staff, the option of bring your food to eat at the hotel facility… it was so pleasant!!!!
Absolutely nothing!!!

Location is close to Edgewood Golf course. Breakfast available. Drinks & s'mores by the fire. Hot tub & pool. Free parking. Lighted toilet seat. Dog friendly. Staff friendly & helpful.
The bedspread was cheap & ugly. Rm 103 could use a whole new makeover. Small & cramped for even 3 adults.
