nothing at all the whole experience was disgusting the place looks abandoned and nobody is working there and the rooms look like crack houses.
horrible, they stole my money for a 1 night stay and locked the building and forced me to not be able to enter to check in doors were locked and phones were unattended for HOURS so I wasted almost 60 dollars and didn’t even receive a refund DO NOT RECOMMEND IF U ARE SMART.

Front desk staff
The bad plumbing
1.9
Front desk staff has been working in the industry more than a decade. They're extremely knowledgeable about their property and each and every room they have available.
That said, they have the experience to professionally deal with any and all issues that could arise during your stay.
This is a budget motel, folks. It once was a thriving 100+ room property, but covid and other factors destroyed the industry for over a year and this one is struggling to stick around.
I'm not saying this as a negative thing - it's the exact opposite. They try their best and need to keep every customer a happy and repeat customer, so look past the imperfections and realize how affordable you're able to stay here, and keep that in mind if you have any issues arise in your room.
In particular I escaped the Xmas polar vortex living in vehicle (by choice - temporary) by staying here 5 nights. Their pipes froze on a few rooms including mine. I had PF membership and used it and just took it up w front desk at checkout. I knew it affected more than me and not much could be done.
They offered freely to comp a future night or two, rather than demanding my money back thru online service. They're a small business trying to stay in business, and they have better staff than you'll get at an expensive hotel.
Realize you're at a budget motel, know there will sometimes be problems, and simply be reasonable about it - they'll make it right, and in my case, without even asking.
I have stayed here about 15 times and will stay again despite the last experience. I also lived in 7 states this year and worked hotel mgmt in the Dells for 4 years. I never write reviews, this is my first, hope it helps you make your decision.
Polar vortex - that messed the whole country up.

The room was nicer than I expected considering the look of the outside of the place. AC worked fine. TV reception was clear. There was a mini fridge. The beds were nice firm beds. Clean room no odors. Nice spaceous sink area. I like that it was separate from bathroom that way I could use the sink while my companion was able to have the toilet and shower .
Couldn't get a room that was near parking lot. I like to be able to have sight of my vehicle and easy access to it. Had to unload walk/carry my personal belongings around to other side go to get to room. The AC was above door. Had to stand on my cooler to get to the AC to turn it on. There was no chairs in room and no microwave. There wasn't an ice machine. Had to drive a few blocks to Walgreens to purchase ice. Only one lamp out of 3 was working. Not many channels to choose from on TV. No good movie channels or cable channels. Started out online on booking.com saying room was $50 but ended up paying $60 . The actual cost of room was $65

I put a towel that I brought with me over the pillows I didn't sleep under the covers the ac was old damaged and didn't work and had bad build up they had to get me a new room cuz we couldn't get in ours cuz they key wouldn't turn the lock I had to wait till past 10 because nobody was at front test was outside smoking I found out when I came back to try again when I had an event to get to and almost ran late because of trying to check out will never be returning

The mattress was comfortable.
Under rennovation. Stench in the room was terrible. There was a mini-fridge on top of what was once a dest/table without a chair. I was happy it was not winter as the insulation around the door did not look good. The rooms were physical keys that could not be returned when the office was chained shut. It had once been a much more attractive property with courtyard, but now a just beat. THe public areas were not in great shape and abit scary. No ammenities. Avoid

did not like anything
1 well just to start with the place is a ticking fire Hazzard, the light switches had shorts in them you had to wiggle them to get lights to stay on there was no heater the one that was in room would over heat and shut off In one minute so I had to go out buy a heater and buy my on microwave every time I would turn on microwave it would kill power in the whole room I would have to get the guy at front desk to reset brakes. and on the warmer days I was there I asked why AC wouldn't work and the guy said you either want ac or heat you can't have both cause the wiring will over heat and cause a fire.!

I did not like nothing that was there everything was out of date the lecture glow was terrible no no heat I had to go by my own heater I'm hater my own microwave every time I try to use the microwave it would keep the breaker in the power room go off in the room had to wait for several minutes for someone to come and put my return to power back on The whole place is a fire hazard it needs to be tore down and start all over
I didn't even see the staff at all unless my power went out from using the microwave no one offered to clean my room or change my sheethen we'll change my sheets I was there for 18 days And the reason I didn't change motels was because there was not anything available I will not ever stay there again I feel like that I should have a brief end of my money because of the place it's so bad I had to physically Wiggle the light switches in the bathroom just to keep the lights on Not to mention every night there was some woman out there I think she was living there permanently and she would have her boyfriend's over and next thing you know that would be drunk and that she would be custom I'm calling on every name that you could think of That doesn't work very well for someone that's on the night shift and has to work and sleep during the day

Manager was nice
it was filthy and run down. did not feel safe.

I thought the OYO name had some quality behind it. I was mistaken.
I had a confirmed reservation, pre-paid and non-refundable. The manager overrode the desk clerk and angrily stated “Do not touch these 9 keys” on the desk. the clerk told him my situation, and the larger bully Mgr angrily reiterated “Do not touch these 9 keys, they are on the way”. I pointed out that I was ALREADY there, and my reservation was already paid, so he said to me directly “You are not getting any of these rooms”. Since I was transporting my 92 year old father home, I was forced to accept a single bed for 3 adults to work out the details. That’s when we witnessed the deplorable condition on the entire facility. I didn’t even take a shower due to the deep stains in the tub. The air conditioner was a tiny unit above the nasty door, and it was full of black gunk. The heater was in the wall next to the bed and was just as nasty. To complete the stay, the plates were stolen off my trailer during the night.

It was terrible. No heat, slept in 2 pairs of pants, 2 hoodies and my coat. Stuff was left in the fridge, hair was in the tub. When I asked around town, people told me the hotel use used for hookers and drug dealing. I only stayed Friday and canceled my Saturday. Major inconvenience

It was very close to the airport, not too far from places that you could eat.
It was located in a very nice area, 5 to 10 minutes from the Chicago-Rockford Airport.
Especially right off highway 39.
We were charged twice by hotel, because they said that they didn't have any conformation from booking.com in which we had booked it from and that we had to go thru booking.com to get our money back if we wanted to stay there.

Clean room. Bed comfy.
Very run down property. We had someone given same room key as us on 2nd day, trying to get in our room at 630 am. No swimming pool or restaurant as advertised.
