How big the room was and the price

There was never anyone at the desk. The stair way had crap and furniture you had to maneuver around to get in and out. When we first got to the room the door was wide open with a chair propped against it to keep it open. There was no microwaves in the rooms

Do Not Stay Here

Booked reservation with card and paid cash upon arrival. Card was run next morning after checkout. No one will answer the phone to make right. Lobby had spiders above check in desk and was run down. Toilets were filthy and there were permanent residents with chickens in the hotel. Do Not stay here. A literal Meth motel.

It was ok

Miscommunication between hotel and booking.com. hotel didn't have my reservations, hotel did put us in a room but kept bothering about payment from booking.com. issue was between hotel and booking, my pymt cleared weeks ago. had requested bottom floor, got 2nd floor and no elevator. And don't forget the rooster, somewhere on the 2nd floor. 2 towels no wash rags and tv kept going out.

One of the worst nights I had ever spent. EVER! I will never stay here again ,

The beds were nice

No security lock at back door, No toilet paper or tissues. After checking in, never saw staff again. Dead bolt on door, did not work, A/C very loud, Filters looked as if they had never been cleaned. One of the worst nights I had ever spent. EVER!

Dated but fair priced stay

Hotel overlooked the lake, which was very nice at sunset. Room was very spacious, a bit oddly so. It was a good 5+ feet between the two beds, but the one end table was placed in the middle, which made it inconvenient to both.

Hotel is a bit dated, although clean. Seems to be understaffed as well, as check-out entailed just leaving room door open and placing keycard on table. Back door to the hotel was unlocked and unsecured, which could be a safety issue, although guessing that given the hotel's remoteness that this has not been an issue.

Do not stay it's nasty

It was nasty. When I went to walk in I had to ring the ring doorbell. Dirt on the floor drop ceiling was falling down. I sat waiting 15 mins to get a room but nobody came to the front desk. I would recommend not staying here. How they are still in business i have. The only plus thing was when the receptionist called me she was really nice. I canceled both rooms but I will have to check and see if I was still charged.

The receptionist was really nice on the phone and apologized for how my attempted stay was. Even offer a discount if I do ever stay, will never get a discount cause I'll never stay there.

Great location!

The hotel sits right on the Sabine River once you cross the bridge from Louisiana to Texas. Trees and water make this location serene. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff (Barbara) was super sweet.

Very comfortable and quiet!!

I enjoyed my room, it was very comfortable and the facility was clean. The staff was really helpful, especially Karen. She gave me good pointers on where to go to eat etc.

There was no microwave and the vending machines were out of order.

No Breakfast!...No Microwave! Remodel in process, was told do not have microwave ovens, two rooms either side had microwaves!

Nothing. I've stayed in many hotels. This was the worst

Room smelt moldy. Tile lose on floors. Towels were dingy. No tv cable was out. Every night about midnight sounded like they were remodeling the rooms above us. Wont ever stay there again. Oh yeah. No coffee or continental breakfast in the morning.

Not sure if the faculty is under renovation. Looked really run down. Lobby smelt bad. Vending machine empty Room was nearly empty. No mirror. Water pressure non existent. Only plus was the staff. Attentive. Courteous and helpful. Doesn’t overcome the visuals of the place
