We were having an overnight getaway and we’re headed welcomed and greeted with extreme care! We already had reservations at another restaurant, but we enjoyed coffee and pastries at the coffee shop in the morning.
The whole hotel side was magic. We loved the pool/hot tub time and how private that felt.
Our only negative experience was we stayed for lunch after checkout, and while the food was delicious, it took a literal hour to arrive. If we’d had time to linger it wouldn’t have been an issue, but we were delayed to our next meeting.

Really loved the pool area and bar at the pool, the staff was also awesome!
Just wished I could have stayed longer, absolutely loved it.

The breakfast was a typical breakfast but was very expensive. As an example, my wife and I ate there for breakfast. We took our 2 adult children to a local breakfast place the next day. We paid less for the four of us than for just the two of us. The food was the same.
Really, there was nothing we didn’t like other than the weather (which the hotel could not control). It was freezing rain, sleet and wind.

Had dinner at Camp Fire restaurant and the S'mores dessert was unbelievable! Very nice place with friendly staff and the parking was so easy. Enjoyed the area for a morning walk and the coffee shop was incredibly convenient!
I was put in an adjoining room which wouldn't have been my preference but it turned out fine.

it is a beautiful property. the pool and play yard is lovely.
the expensive Burger and Caesar salad and salmon we ordered and picked up (NOT room service) was $54.00! the Caesar salad had a ton of sliced jalapeños with seeds and my 89 year old mother could not enjoy it. I e never heard of a Caesar salad with jalapeños. very disappointed at the taste and the price.

Cleanliness, location, value
Two issues, albeit minor. One, it’s August in College Station. It would be nice to have a couple bottles of water in the room or something to purchase in the hotel. Two, when my son went looking for water, the bartender said the bar was closed—fine. But then as my son was relaying the info to another, the bartender came over and said “I told you we are closed”. Unnecessary, bordering on rude. I’m sure the bartender was tired after a long evening serving Aggie parents, but again, unnecessary.

We enjoyed drinks and a charcuterie dish in the Campfire bar with the very friendly and creative bartenders. We also purchased delicious coffee from the POV coffee shop. There was a free music event going on at Lakewalk which was very entertaining. The Lakewalk area is lovely for a morning or evening stroll.
We were unable to utilize the other amenities but noted the pool and fitness center were top-notch. We will definitely stay at the Stella again on our next trip to College Station/Bryan area.
Because of the Saturday evening event at Lakewalk, parking at the hotel was difficult to attain.
