I loved the hotel and location. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly!
Everything was great!
10.0
Well this hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was in the center of a public walkway so it was very easy to access shopping, restaurants, and tourist attractions. It was also in a very quiet area despite being in a busy area. The interior of the hotel was very beautiful and cozy. And the room exuded spaciousness and comfort with a separate shower and toilet; this provided a lot of privacy while your significant other showered. On the floors they had a fountain that you could fill with cold water or seltzer water in the provided glass bottles at the water station (I filled two that I kept in the mini-fridge. If you were a night person, like me, taking in the night sky with some drinks and food on the rooftop bar was more than ideal- it was a great location to end the evening.
Nothing at all. Nothing.

The lobby was stylish and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nicely designed.
There was almost never anyone at the front desk aside from check in and check out times. The rooms were small. There was no fan in the bathroom. Our shades were broken so the sun shined directly in very early in the morning. The room was only partially cleaned while we were out (i.e some dirty towels were not taken and trash was left). The restaurant downstairs had terrible service, we stood at the counter for 5 minutes while we were ignored by multiple staff members and decided to go elsewhere.

Great location right downtown.
Staff were great! Very helpful in answering questions, gave great recommendations for places to eat; friendly, conversive and helpful.
I would stay there again.
Modern decor not my taste, but it "fit" the facility.

Geräumiges Zimmer, separate Toilette, direkt in der Stadt
Einrichtung modern und optisch kühl, nicht mein Geschmack

Super easy to walk to all Salem's attractions from here and staff super nice and helpful.
No parking means extra $ to park somewhere near and awkward to walk on cobbled stone street with luggage. But the location is so central, so it's necessary.
6.0
The bed was comfortable and the hotel's location was convenient. The rooftop deck was nice and the interior design was memorable.
We stayed in a first floor room with a loft area, where a couch, chair, small table, and tv were located. The table was rickety and should have been removed from the room. There was no room in the first level for the television, but this could have been solved by building a wider loft and placing the bed upstairs. The front of the hotel had a restaurant with a counter and floor to ceiling glass windows - a design element we didn't understand. So much real estate was devoted to this eatery that almost never had customers. (Why wasn't it reconfigured as a more comfortable, slightly private lounge?) The check-in desk was tiny and placed in a hallway, which made it awkward for guests. There was no where to rest bags and guests leaving the first floor of the hotel and elevator area had to squeeze by those waiting. We had a good stay overall, but the design and layout choices at this particular hotel were a bit baffling and impacted comfort and, upon reflection, our experience. We wouldn't stay here again if we were visiting Salem.

the gals switched me from a micro room to a regular room, without hesitation. the room was amazing

the staff was so friendly, the location couldn’t be better and everything was clean enough. I needed the reservation altered to a bigger room and they accommodated it prior to my arrival. The decor is vibrant and just as you see pictured.
The amenities were less than an Air B&B. There is no phone in the room, no parking, no coffee maker and no full length mirror. The shower had half a wall so it was so cold the entire shower and the shower head zero pressure. The toilet is separate from the sink, but the sink is in the shower room. The remote for the TV didn’t work despite switching out batteries, there’s no ability to log into your streaming accounts and no guide for the television. The ceiling had multiple different colors of paint, the toilet paper holder was broken so it just dangled out of the wall and there was an obvious hole in the ceiling of the shower, covered by a metal plate.
I ordered from the restaurant once and got lava cake, it was platted with ice cream, butterscotch and butterscotch chips… not part of the menu description… and when I asked if it was peanuts (it was all brown) no one could answer, we took it to go and it wasn’t even cooked on the inside. Not as though it has melted and got cold but still formed solid chunk of chocolate. The kiddo has a peanut allergy, we have to be mindful of eating stuff and we took the cakes and left but he didn’t eat it.. he also doesn’t like butterscotch…

How close it was to literally everything!

Location was perfect. Staff was great. Rooms were clean and very nice
Coffee was cold and not good. Never saw their bar open for service. Construction equipment for snow removal started at 3am and lasted until 7am. Sounded like they were right outside the window and incredibly loud. For the price I would have expected a little more effort as far as morning amenities other than cheap, cold coffee and at the min. Have their bar open for service. It's a wonderful location but there should be more creature comforts for that amount of money.

Great location. Coffee bar and restaurant in the lobby
No coffee on rooms. A certain staff member couldn't give me a straight answer about a question pertaining to my checkout. I had to wait 2 days for an answer and couldn't plan.

Hotel was great and right in the center of Essex st which put us in the general location of everything with a very quick walk to attractions, restaurants, and shops!
The rooms were clean, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. It was also super convenient having The Counter in the restaurant for a quick bite or drink. The wings were amazing btw.

Staff was excellent, the food in the restaurant was great!
The price was very high for the size of the space and quality of the space.

Well decorated, comfortable room, beautiful bathroom and that bathroom tile is gorgeous Great location, very friendly + helpful staff. Bubbly/filtered water machines a bonus!
Elevator smelled horrible. Have seen it in other reviews. Recommend an enzymatic cleaner, crappy air fresheners don't cover it, and are pretty rough for those of us with fragrance allergies/sensitivities. Not a complaint, but room is huge, could def. use another chair and/or a desk.
