It was very pretty in common areas and clean. The room was lovely and clean also. The next day we went out to be with a very ill relative, my brother. We came back at 10:30pm. Our key cards no longer worked. Exhausted, I went down and got them re-programmed. We entered our room and it had never been touched by housekeeping. Unmade beds, etc. The housekeeper had even seen us leave that morning, so why not taken care of?! The next morning I asked the housekeeper if she was the one who had 415 the day before. She said she was. When I asked why our room hadn't been cleaned she just giggled and said "Sorry." She didn't even try to act surprised, like she didn't know. She knew darn good and well she hadn't done it. I told her she missed out on an extra nice tip because I felt bad that we hadn't gone out until 11am and maybe threw her off schedule. But let me be clear...nobody said we had to vacate by any certain time or miss having our room made up. When I told front desk, they said sorry..but very unconcerned. They could have offered a small discount for us not receiving the full service expected, but they didn't. Also, the room was charged differently, higher even with tax added, than you quoted. They said it wasn't them, that whoever we booked the room through charged us more. I thought you got your fee as a commission from the hotel for bringing them business. What is my incentive to use Booking.com otherwise? I'm done with that hotel and I'd like an explanation about my bill from Booking.com.

The lack concern that our room was not touched by housekeeping during our stay.
