Comfortable chairs on the deck for the beautiful view!
4.5
Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, fireplace, bathroom included spa tub (great value) - exceptional views!
The fridge/freezer didn't keep things that cool despite being turned up all the way. The website and confirmation email listed the arrival time as having a 9:00pm cutoff, we arrived around 7:30pm to find the office closed. Keys were left outside of office. An update to their winter hours (7:00pm close) would have been appreciated beforehand.

I like that it had its own restaurant that opened later and that it is for that romantic occasion.food was amazing and the service was great. It is something to remember.
The chairs on the patio could of been in better condition.

Comfortable bed. Spectacular view. Huge rooms.
Brown bath water.

Everything was wonderful. The staff was lovely and welcoming.

Location, size of room, complimentary fire log, balcony with chairs to watch sunset, parking on site, ease of check in and out. Within walking of good grocery store, restaurants. Chairs for watching TV.
Very loud and squeaky bed! Cob webs all over balcony wind screen / railing. Had to clean it myself. Shower leaked water directly onto floor (significant amount). Bad coffee and not able to use / adapt coffee maker to make our own coffee

the room comes with a fireplace, balcony, sauna, bath, views, and floor heating. it was really beyond what was expected for the price.
not much. just slightly rustic.

Spectacular location right on the beach. Are unit felt like a tiny apartment and nicely furnished for comfort. Large spacious bathroom good for two people. I love having a microwave and refrigerator so we could make some snacks. Bed was super comfortable and I travel a lot for work so I know hotel beds. Plenty warm in the room as there was a space heater and also thermostat so we were very cozy. Good towels
Would have liked to be offered fresh towels and amenities each day even though we did not ask for any maid service. Coffee is not very good that is provided and I brought my own. Need more than tiny bottles of water

This hotel has one of the top views on the Pacific Coast! lots and lots of bird life and even a lone harbor seal in the lagoon below, with 15-foot waves crashing on the beach.
There doesn’t seem to be much insulation between the floors, and we could hear our upstairs neighbors stomping around. recommend asking for a room on the top floor.

The view was awesome. Your staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful. I asked if the fireplace was wood burning and the staff gave us a complimentary fire log. The room had a homey atmosphere.
The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have liked. You could tell it had been around awhile because it was a little lumpy and it creaked.

location right on the coast. great view. decently priced for an ocean view room.
could use a little more attention to detail cleaning (cobwebs, dust). fridge should be turned on prior to guest arrival. coffee machines/condiments need updating.

everything! the view! the fireplace! the location!
odd squeaky beds.

The location is amazing! We really enjoyed sitting on our deck waiting for the sunset.
The staff were so kind to help us look after our bikes.

The location is excellent. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay. Very pleasant. The room is beautifully decorated, very comfortable chairs, bed. I loved the walk-in shower. The jacuzzi tub was very nice.
Gualala is very small, but this hotel is located next to a grocery store and across from a strip mall with an excellent bakery, etc.
The room has poor air circulation, so smells stale. The mini-fridge also needs deodorizing.

The view from our 2nd story room was everything! Falling asleep to and waking up with crashing waves was just the relaxing experience I was looking for. I love taking photos and being able to step outside on my patio to capture both a sunset and pictures of the stars was exactly why I chose this place. Vue Kitchen is only steps away but for the most part, we enjoyed the snacks we brought out on the patio, sitting in comfortable chairs with vibrant new cushions and an unbeatable view. We also enjoyed our 5 minute morning walks to Trink's Cafe for the most delicious coffee/breakfast with an ocean view. These rooms have a fireplace and as described, it provided the perfect ambiance. The ladies who manned the hotel front desk, during even the busiest of times, were so polite, patient, and helpful. My goal that weekend was to relax, decompress by the ocean, and take a few photos from the convenience of my balcony. Overall, one of the best 3-Star hotels I've ever stayed in.
The bathrooms were newly renovated and beautiful at that. But the sink didn't allow any room for toiletries and adding the beautiful sink on top of the existing base resulted in us being completely soaked by the time we finished washing up. The TV was very small and we were limited to the cable available; we weren't able to login and stream our media of choice. (But that's what books are for - so we weren't too bothered by this.) The bed - oh how creaky that bed was! It wasn't *completely* uncomfortable ... but the creakiness sure was loud.

Close to shopping for snacks and a good restaurant on site.
The bathroom sink and mirror, as well as the soaking tub were all dirty. The fireplace was only set up for duraflame logs and no matches we're provided for lighting. Exterior patio was cob web covered. For the price of the room I just expected more. Comparable places to stay in the area are a better value.

That my room has the perfect view. And staff is amazing
Miss house keeping and breakfast

I liked the location of the hotel. It has beautiful views of the Pacific and beautiful sunsets.
The hotel could have been maintained better, especially on the outside. There was a lot of peeling paint and the windows were dirty.
2.5
The room and bathroom layout. The general cleanliness in the room. The balcony view. The mattress.
Room furniture was quite stained. outdoor cushions had 2 bird dung piles on them. Walls are very thin and people above me were having an argument for more than an hour late on Tuesday night.
4.5
Location, location, location!!! Pet friendly, bonus features… but the ocean’s lullaby right outside is priceless.

great location, great views from rooms
the patios could use a little more cleaning (inside was fine). leftover cigarette butts on patio. issue may be lack of resources to hire, as everywhere else.

Loved the view, the room ,soaking tub, fire place. Restaurant amazing
All great except see below
THE BED & PIllows were totally terrible 😞😢😩 they should definitively upgrade them ASAP I won’t go back until they do. We paid $350 for massages on Friday and then slept in this awful bed that hurt our bodies for the next 2 days.

The patio view was lovely. The size of the room was more than expected. The decor was quite nice. I had an end room with only 1 common wall, and no one above me. That made for a very quiet stay.
The overall cleanliness could be better, specifically the shower area. AND as mentioned in other reviews the bed was NOISY - not quite sure why. It seemed the mattress was crunchy and woke me up every time I moved. As a seaside property I realize it's a constant battle against weather. However, there was bird quano build up on most posts/flat areas under the eaves.
