About this apartment rental
Main floor provides cozy living area with wood fireplace, small and functional kitchen, and formal dining seats to 8 comfortably, 10 is doable. Patio off dining area with BBQ. Main floor has 3 piece bath with stand up shower. Second level offers cozy master with window seat and TV, Main Bath with jetted tub, second and third bedrooms. The top floor provides a great room for kids with 3 twins and one futon and a TV! Updated Bathrooms in November 2013 offer spa like relaxation after hitting the slopes. Bedding: King, Twins or King in second, Single Bunks in third, Fourth bedroom on top floor - 3 singles and futon.
You will find Main lifts of Whistler Village out the front and to the right and with the Upper Village lifts just across the street. Take the back route along Fitzsimmons Creek only steps from the quaint covered bridge to parking lot 1 and the mid Village entrance. Annual guy ski trip. It was our first time in Whistler and we loved our place. There were 7 of us total but it could have fit 10 comfortably, which was the original number of our group until a few had to drop out. The host was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of. The location was perfect. Walking distance to either lift on the mountain as well to all of the downtown area. Once we arrived, we didn’t get into our vehicle again until we left for the airport. If we come back, we will definitely stay at this place again. It’s going to be hard to beat for the next ski trip.

The condo fit our group of 10 perfectly. Gillian was very responsive. Nicely appointed and great location. Only complaint is very little room for skis and equipment. Overall great stay!

Perfect home for our family Christmas get-together (from U.K. and Australia). It had everything we needed for the duration of our stay with a couple of little extras included as a warm welcome. The actual house was very clean, plenty of towels available, kitchen had everything we required to make meals and the local supermarket wasn’t too far away to top up on supplies. The Gables was the perfect location for us - a quiet area but within easy walking distance between both the main ski villages/gondolas which was ideal as none of us had a car. Main bus stop area a short walk away from the house. We only used this once to take the children to the local swimming pool.

The property is in a great location. Very easy and walkable to get to both the upper and lower village. There were only 4 adults and one child in my group. I imagine if there were more adults it would have been pretty cramped in the kitchen as it is pretty small. It says it is a fully stocked kitchen however, there were no scissors, the can opener was broken and there were zero spices. Not even salt and pepper and no cooking oil either. They could also use some more plates and cups. I can’t imagine how fast you would go through all that stuff if there were more adults staying. If you plan on eating out for most meals I’m sure it would suffice. But we had a lot of our meals in the house. I did appreciate how many towels were given to us and that they were of substantial size. There was only one small hair dryer in the downstairs bathroom and it didn’t work. It did seem a little drafty in the living room in the evening and we ended up making a little presto log fire every night, which was fine. Overall we enjoyed the space, the location and the easy access to get into the property/the parking and would prob stay here again.

This is our second time staying at this rental and the renovations are a great addition. The location is perfect for quick village access and the accommodation was clean and presented well on our arrival. The communication with management company was amazing before, during and after. Excellent lodging near the hill. Very friendly and responsive hosts! Plenty of space for our group to sleep and relax. Small kitchen so designate one cook at a time! Only complaint was the windows do not open and it was very hot. A few of them open a small flap but not enough to get air flow through the unit.

Overall it was fine. I would have preferred greater responsiveness from Destination Properties - many times I needed to follow them up regarding communication and messages - they were always polite and friendly, yet slow to respond or unresponsive. It would have been nice if they had checked in on us when we arrived to see if everything is ok - that didn't happen. It was clear they are just an intermediary booking agency and once you are booked in they sort of lose interest in you. However everything worked fine - it just would have been appreciated if there were some more care and attention, which there wasn't.The apartment was very clean and functional. Our biggest disappointment was the kitchen as the pots and pans and utensils were old and tired and need to be replaced - for a premium rental price this place needs to have great quality cooking appliances and that was not the case.The fireplace is not actually a fireplace with wood - instead it takes some man-made product.Great location and very clean which was great.Overall a 3.5 experience.

Gables 17 lodge is a real gem amongst the wonderland that is Whistler. Situated in a beautiful wooded area just out of the village, Gables 17 set up feels just like your home away from home. It is warm, comfortable, spacious and relaxing after a long day of skiing. We would thoroughly recommend this as a premier place to stay when visiting Whistler. Every feature and appointment has been provided to help make this an A class experience To top it off, our a host Gillian was tremendous. She really is a terrific host who put the icing on the cake for our stay.

The heater didn’t work on first day of our arrival. No hot water at all after only two people shower with reasonable time. No parking, so our vehicle got towed even we parked in the parking spot and paid for the fine for $280, I think Gillian and Tanya got some relationships with towing company, they never pick up the phone when we reported no heater and hot water(when we call on 4pm in the afternoon ), but call the towing company so quick and immediately. Also, the most disappointed thing is Tanya is not a nice/ kind person, she used some racist words during the conversation we had in the phone. If you would like a peaceful and nice vocation, I do recommend not booking their unit.

Great ski in/out house, easy walk to village!
My siblings, SOs, and a few friends stayed in the house for a 5 day ski trip. We had 9 in our group and while the house is a small square footage for the max headcount, the living and dining area are well furnished to make it comfortable!
House is just a couple minute walk to three different gondolas and both the Whistler/BC villages. Gillian was super helpful answering a few questions and coordinating check in for us. Would absolutely stay here again.
The kitchen was a bit understocked on cookware, storage items, dishes, and had zero spices, cooking oils, sugar, etc, as my only criticism. Maybe related to covid protocol.

We really enjoyed our stay! We had 10 people in our group and this townhouse was perfect. Great location. Everything was in walking distance. Our host Gillian was so nice. We arrived 30 mins before check in and she was there to greet us and even let us in early! It was really clean and had sanitizer and wipes if we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Townhouse had lots of rooms and beds with perfect privacy for our group of 7 + 2 small dogs. Location was fabulous and truly appreciated the free parking for 2 vehicles. Only issues were the 2nd floor washroom tub wouldn't drain well and at times the townhouse got warm but the patio slider and many fans helped. No windows in living room open so that room and kitchen can get warm when temperature hit mid 20s.

Gillian and Tanya at Destination Whistler jumped on it before I knew what was going on and without charge upgraded us to a place beyond our wildest dreams. The gesture was so professional and so seamless, and the place so luxurious and perfectly located, I could not muster a single complaint if I tried. It’s a ten out of ten. We loved it and plan to go again over Christmas.

Great location
The townhouse is in a great location, short walk to upper village and has Fitz Simmons Creek right behind it. The downside was it was super hot! We were there during a hot spell in summer and not enough windows open, it felt like a sweat box. The owner has fans there but the main floor only had one small window and the sliding door for air circulation. We also had ants the first day but I bought Raid and sprayed the sliding door track and they stopped coming in. The unit is nicely updated and the complex is quiet, the grassy area was a real bonus. All in all I think it's a good place to rent but avoid hot weather!!

We rented this home for a multi-generational vacation, and it worked very well. Very quiet area right in the river, just minutes walk to both Whistler and Blackcomb. Free lost lake shuttle stops right in front of property. No AC, so get warm in the afternoon.

Just a great location, didn't have to get in my car once. Be careful because we got our 2nd car towed (our own fault) but the towtrucks are no joke up there. Would definitely rent it again.
