Lovely welcoming cottage, great to come home too.

We spent a lovely week in Charlestown, travelling by train to St Austell and a 5 min taxi. The cottage is perfectly located for the harbour, tucked away from the crowds. Easy walks to local beaches (Duporth our favourite). Cottage was well equipped with good wifi.

Charlstown break for two
A great cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage had everything we needed and a lovely suntrap little garden where we sipped our evening G and T. Goodies left in the fridge were a nice suprise (they didn,t last long!) Spotlessly clean and very comfortable . Just what we needed.

Great property in a great location.
Met by hosts with a warm welcome and a cream tea which set the tone for an enjoyable stay.
Great location in Charlestown just above the harbour. Enjoyed days on the shingle beach and evenings in the many hospitality outlets.
Would recommend both the excellently equipped property and Charlestown as a holiday location.

Carole's Cottage
A lovely cottage in a good location. It has everything that you would want. Good location (although the noise from the pub kitchen wasn't ideal).
Would certainly consider a return visit.

A perfect stay
We just loved this cottage. Our welcome from Carole was warms and we really appreciated the little food gifts. The location of the cottage is perfect, very near the 2 beaches and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had intended visiting lots of places but we actually stayed in Charlestown the whole week. Loved it!

Carole was excellent at making you feel welcome and that all your needs were met.
We found that the location within Charlestown was perfect. Far enough up to be away from the hubbub of the town and easy walking distance to everything. The cottage has been very nicely designed with modern kitchen and bathroom. Perfect.

Wow
This amazing cottage is right in the heart of the village. On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile from the owner who explained all we needed to know.
We love the simple things in life like finding a pint of milk in the fridge along with a cream tea.
Thank you so much Carole for helping us enjoy our holiday

The property was perfectly located in Charlestown with a nice view of the bay from the bedroom window. The mattress was rock hard and could feel some of the springs so could do with replacing. We would have preferred to have had internet, couldn’t get mobile signal in the house.

Beautiful, peaceful cottage
Couldn't have wished for anything better. The cottage had everything you could need, well equipped kitchen even supplying tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk, clotted cream and scones on arrival along with a bottle of wine to unwind after your journey.
Everything was lovely and clean, fresh bedding and ample supply of tea, hand and bath towels.
The bathroom was perfect and spacious with a big walk in shower.
Carole the owner was there to greet us to make sure we were happy with everything, amazing friendly host.
Fantastic location for touring. We did Penzance, St. Ives, Porth,The Eden project and more.
The harbour itself is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax enjoy a meal and a drink.
Only downside, we couldn't find a normal little shop that supplied everyday items and newspapers in the harbour itself, but saying that, Asda, Tesco, Morrison and Aldi are only a short drive away.

Very clean and comfortable and everything you could want supplied
A very beautiful cottage with so much character and tastefully decorated throughout to reflect the history of the cottage and the surrounding area. A real step back in time but in a modern era. So cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Parking outside property also a bonus. Lovely places to visit and plenty of places to eat with fabulous food. Carole, our host, was so accommodating and the gifts that were left were very much appreciated.

Lovely cottage in a superb location in Charlestown
I booked Carole’s cottage on behalf of my elderly grandparents who were travelling to Cornwall to attend my wedding. The whole process from booking to checking in was superb, Carole always responded to any email questions I had very promptly and called me on the day when the cottage was ready to hand over the keys in person.
The cottage itself is very pretty with a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a walk in shower which was excellent for my grandparents who struggle to get in and out of a bath. There is also a parking space, which is rare in Charlestown when so close to the harbour.
The whole experience was great from start to finish and I highly recommend Carole’s cottage for its charm and amazing location in Charlestown.

A Wonderful Stay.
My husband and I stayed at Carole’s lovely cottage for a week in July. From the moment we arrived Carole and Malcolm made us feel welcome (thank you for the lifts). The cottage was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and cosy. The icing on the cake was the garden which is a sun trap at all times of the day, we loved having our breakfasts there.
Charlestown was a lovely place to stay, and we found getting around on public transport a breeze once we had timetables. It has a variety of eating places, The Longstore and the Boathouse were our favourites. The harbour offers many opportunities to sit and idle away the time if that is what you want to do, and I have to say we spent quite a time watching the comings and goings in the glorious sunshine. Everyone is friendly and helpful, locals are full of chat and information. We would return to Charlestown tomorrow and would certainly stay in Carole’s cottage. Thank you so much for a great time.x

Cosy Charlestown Cottage - a hidden gem
Carole's cottage is a very homely and cosy place to stay, it has some very special features like its stable doors. It's conveniently located near the harbour yet tucked away in a quiet spot directly behind the Shipwreck centre. We had everything we needed here, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils even including a recipe book and the back garden was a real sun trap. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Carole is a very friendly and helpful lady who even comes out to meet you on your first day - we've never had that in a holiday cottage before and its a nice touch. Thank you very much for everything, Carole.

Absolutely wonderful location and great presentation of cottage.
We loved staying here in this unique cottage. the only down fall for us was the size of the main bed. The little extra treats were a wonderful touch. Charlestown is very special and delivered everything I hoped for.

A Lovely cottage in a brilliant location
A comfortable, cosy cottage in a brilliant location. A lovely courtyard at the rear of the cottage - perfect for sundowners. Carole and Malcolm couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. A cream tea and bottle of wine was especially appreciated.
Would return in a heartbeat.

Wunderbar
Ganz liebe Vermieter. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!

Beautiful cottage, beautiful place
My husband and I had a short break in February, the owners of the cottage are so welcoming and friendly , good communication priior to stay. The cottage has been decorated and refurbished extremely well, and if you want a home from home plus more this is the place to stay. It was lovely to find flowers on the table and milk and cream tea in the fridge, very nice after a long journey. Didn't want to come home - Charlestown is an oasis lovely place steeped in history fascinating. Thank you Carole and Malcolm for making our holiday very special indeed. Jean and Rob

Wonderful Family Holiday
We can't recommend this wonderful, cosy cottage highly enough. Carole was lovely to communicate with and left some lovely goodies (fresh flowers, a cream tea & bottle of wine) to welcome us.
The cottage itself is gorgeous - tastefully decorated in line with the sensitive period restoration. It has everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. The views from the main bedroom are just lovely!! The central location within Charlestown is wonderful - the harbour with all its charm is right on the doorstep. Carole thoughtfully provided a high chair, and we found the cottage well suited to our 9 month old.
We couldn't have asked for a a better, more relaxing first family holiday!

Charlestown
The location of the rental was ideal to get around to see Eden Project, (Found!) Gardens of Heligan, and the north and south coast lines, Truro , Falmouth etc.
The cottage was spacious for 4 adults and very well looked after and appointed and provisioned with an excellent kitchen.
The restaurant choice (4) in the harbour area is very good and caters for all tastes and pockets.
