We had an amazing stay at Stefan's house. The location is spectacular, nestled in a grove of trees directly beach front, the views are amazing, we even had seals visit the beach our last day. The house is extremely comfortable, cozy and clean with everything you need including a washer / dryer. The location is very private yet convinient. Reykevik is about 45 minutes, groceries, resturants etc are about 20 minues in the town of Akranes. Thingvelir National park is 30 minutes and the Snaefellsnes National Park and peninsula is 2 hours. Peaceful, surrounded by nature with amazing views! If you want a beautful comfortable place to stay you have found it! A. Hill & Family - Minnesota-USA

We stayed at Stefan's cabin for three days and two nights, and wow was it breathtaking. During our stay we were able to enjoy a stunning Aurora Borealis light show from both the comfort of the hot tub and the cool of the nearby beach. The home is well stocked with basic amenities and we were able to cook for ourselves during our stay. The nearest store / restaurant is about 45min out, so having a fully stocked kitchen was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would love the change to visit again in the future.

My wife, son and daughter-in-law and I stayed at Stefan’s cozy cabin on the fjord north of Reykjavik. It was the perfect ending of our memorable week in Iceland. This was our first visit to this amazing Land of Fire and Ice.
Stefan was very responsive to questions prior to our check in and during our stay. We loved looking out on the water and seeing the seals, enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace, and even cooked steaks on the grill in the midst of snow. The decor is perfect, great large TV, and in a wonderful location in the midst of nature all around, and secluded. Only improvement I would recommend would be the addition of handles on the ladder going up to the loft. JF (St. Johns, FLORIDA, USA)

We stayed at this beautiful lodge for 5 nights with our two kids (9 and 12) and had a fabulous time in Iceland. The lodge itself is remote (easy to get to from airport) and sits in a beautiful setting with the ocean and mountains around it, its like a postcard. The Seal family in the bay were lovely to watch.
Its close to the golden circle, easy to drive around and see the sights and 45 mins from Reykjavik. It was nice to be outside of Reykjavik as there is barely any light pollution.
We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky outside the lodge 2 nights in a row which was magical. The hot tub is an excellent addition and a great place to watch the stars on a clear night.
We hired an electric car which worked out really well and plenty of charging points around. Also Stefan provided an extension lead to charge from the lodge.
I would highly recommend staying here, it comes with all those home comforts as well. Such a beautiful part of the world and would definitely book here again.

Our family had a fantastic trip to Iceland, Stefan place was perfectly situated for our day travels to Waterfalls, horse back riding, thermal pools. If you like a secluded location you will enjoy this place. Great little fireplace lots of wood. The place looks right out over the bay, saw seals basking in the sun almost every morning. Literally 1 hour from the airport but a world away.
We would return no question.

We had the time of our lives in this beautiful little house in the middle of the nature right at the fjord. Beautiful views, sleep like a baby, we will come back!

Our family of 4 with two boys ages 17 and 20 enjoyed our stay in mid-July. The beautiful views from the house to the fjord and mountains are much better than the photos in the posting can show. The location is very quiet in a secluded area with trees surrounding the property giving privacy. The beds were very comfortable - loft is best with older children. Hot tub was wonderful! Owner was very responsive to our questions and very helpful during check-in. We would definitely consider staying again.

We absolutely loved staying here. Although it’s a good half hour from Reykjavik, it was well worth the drive for the natural beauty and quiet that the property has to offer. The house is charming with everything you need, and very comfortable beds. We will be back!

Owners met me at the door and explained the property fully. Beautiful set up. Wonderful experience. Only concern is plan time to find it. The Google maps were difficult at first. Easy after you locate it the first time. Once we were here it was everything we’d expected and more. Highly recommend if you are visiting Iceland

The cabin itself was cozy and had beautiful views. Driving down to the beach was stunning, and just up the road you see giant cliffs and horses and sheep. The beach that the cabin is on is full of different sea birds if you enjoy wildlife! We saw the elusive northern lights!! Far enough away from any light polution/the city but close enough that you can drive 40 min to dinner/shopping if you need a day to relax. It was wonderful to come "home" to the cabin after a long 10+ hour day of sightseeing to cook dinner and dip in the hot tub.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

This place is a wondrous hideaway, secluded in its own copse of trees, with views of the breathtaking scenery of Iceland on all sides. The cottage itself is beautifully appointed with solid wood floors and furniture, beautiful kitchen, and geothermal heating. We really enjoyed the hot tub outside, and for me the wood-burning sauna was a rustic and adventurous experience, how they used to take saunas before electricity. The trampoline made us feel like kids again. Highly recommended for a couple or family. Our heartfelt thanks to Stefan and family for sharing this place with others, and we only hope we can stay longer next time.

We really enjoyed our one-week-stay in Stefans hut: It was just perfect - we felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. It is really impressive how beautifully the whole hut is furnished and how much love there is in the details. You already feel deeply relaxed when you enter the garden. We can recommend the accommodation wholeheartedly. Thank you Stefan for letting us be your guests and making our stay unforgettable.

The home was fully equipped for all our family travel needs. The property is a perfect blend of modern and classic cottage. I couldn't imagine finding anyplace more suited to family travel in Iceland. Thank you again for sharing your vacation home!

Amazing stay and beautiful home. The only downside would be the steps upstairs are step but manageable and would be nice to have had blackout shades for us not use to the daylight.
The house as described. Very private and an amazing view. Would stay here again.

A little out of town but when you get ‘home’ you feel at home. We had terrible weather but we could all relax warm and cozy with enough space for everyone. Kids loved walking the beach, watching the birds and the wood fire sauna. The main bedroom is up a stair ladder so not for the fragile type. Would I stay again if we return.... Yes.
