The staff was really friendly ,the room was also nice. The price was very nice for such a single room.
A small complain about the toilet, it smells a little terrible - doesn't means that the toilet is dirty, oppositely, it was very clean.I think the problem is the detergent, using another brand might help,or see can ventilation be improved .
Also for people who are carrying big luggage like me, this is a historical hotel, there is no elevator, and I thought that wasn't a big problem. I am not blaming on this, just a little murmured XD

easy check in, friendly staff, tidy and lovely room design

Staff was accommodating for a very late check-in -- the key safes are a fantastic solution for this! Great location in a quiet street but still close to downtown and all of the main attractions in Marburg. The hotel is also very close to the University's sports center (running track, outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball), which is open to the public and a very nice bonus.

Marburg is a wonderful city

First of all, Marburg is a really cool town, and this guesthouse is close to the main attractions (Old university, Schloss). There are also stores and cool restaurants nearby with university students. The guesthouse has a fun design with quirky decorative elements. It has shared showers and toilets, but it didn't bother us too much, as we spent only one night here.

The location is good
Not very clean. Shower gets filled up with water. The rooms need refresh, a little rundown. No private parking.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the shared shower and toilet were always extremely clean. The common kitchen gives you the opportunity to have some tea or coffee, which was an extra added value. On top of that, the hotel manager was always available, taking care of any question or request, in the most kind way. A highly recommended stay for a short trip in Marburg!

Very friendly and accommodating staff, and very unique rooms and design. Although we were there during a heat wave, the rooms were very cool and comfortable.
Everything was great.

Quirky place, just right for such a wonderful town. Tusculum has a studenty, relaxed feel to it and Roland made us feel especially welcome

My stay at Hotel Tusculum was excellent. The hotel is clean and having access to a kitchen with coffee and a generous selection of teas was most appreciated. I very much enjoyed the interior decoration, which provided a welcome departure from the generic style that has become the norm at far too many hotels and hotel chains. The effort put into the decoration and art themes merits praise.
