Value for money, excelllent care from the reception.

Excellent location, everything was in walking distance. Beds were very comfortable, AC working very well, value for money definitely met. Wi-Fi was working perfectly (on higher floors)

Bathrooms need a major renovation. The bathroom of the first room I got was basically not usable. It was full of mold and I literally inhaled the mold in my lungs. Thankfully I could change the room and the second room (lower level) was better. If you come here with high expectations, don’t even book. It’s a basic hotel with basic equipment, which serves very much for the value. You’ll see some insects in the rooms, don’t get scared. I mean, the whole island is basically an jungle, so be prepared for that.

Worse than worse. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!

The only ok were towels, bed and air-conditioning, rest was awful.

Reception was disorganized, not customer oriented. I rather made taxi arrangements myself. At the check-in the receptionist wanted to get rid of me quickly. There were no signs to navigate you outside the building. The receptionist couldn't properly navigate the taxi driver when I was coming, eventhough there is just one main street. Overall everything very very outdated in this property. I didn't expect much for this little money, but at least basic standard should be available-functioning. :( Toilet seat broken/missing. Awful shower, no hot water. Broken shower doors. Broken wash basin. Poor light in the room and in the bathroom. Strange smell everywhere. TV didn't work. No internet connection - poor signal in the room. No storage room. And worst of all - big dead cockroach out in corridor. It was there in the middle of the corridor, visible, for my entire stay. Housekeepers were there, but obviously didn't bother to get rid of it.

Great location in Grand Bay, very central for beach, restaurants and shopping.

Bed is too hard - needs a thick memory foam topper.

No parking in the building. Was risky to park my car at the beach. Somebody has hit my car and damaged it. No camera near that parking. The bathroom is poor quality as well. Rocky surface in the bathroom. Not a value for money place.

The location is excellent, opposite the Geand Baie Beach, many restaurants and on the bus route. Walking distance to Super U supermarket.

Tha rude and unhelpful receptionist. We have to carry our own luggage to and from the second floor. Very unhelpful to find us a taxi too.

No doubt we enjoyed our stay at Ocean Lakes given its location and proximity to the shopping centre.

Location was great. Room was large and big enough for 2 persons. Beach, park, and food was across the road or near by. Bus and taxi at the door. Supermarket was around the corner. Restaurants and bar was next door. A bar fridge is now available in the room. Security was good.

TV was not working. No signal. You need 2 remote controls and a degree in Engineering and Technology to operate the TV. Even the staff could not get the TV going. The bathroom needs some major renovations. The toilet did not flush properly, The tap of hand wash basin was loose. The shower door did not close properly. In other words you wanted to get a shower and get out of there as quickly as possible. Perhaps a lift to level 3 might help the elderly as I counted 49 steps to our room.

Too much noise...staff not friendly..more light in the room needed...cleanliness zero...need to tell them to change the bedsheet everyday...bathroom and toilet not well clean...a microwave in the room would be a plus..dust on the furniture...
