Vraiment gentil !!

A beautiful villa, ideally situated to explore Taormina.
We loved our holiday. Our host was really helpful and informative. He helped us to arrange a chef to cook for dinner one evening and also an Italian cookery lesson. The villa was beautiful inside and out. Would recommend!

Delightful property steeped in history and character
Very helpful owners who arranged A local cook, Anna, to cook us a meal so that we could enjoy Sicilian local food in the beautiful dining room at the villa.

This is a lovely property conveniently located in a quiet place of Taormina, close to the city centre. The view on the bay is superbe and the house very stylish. The garden is wonderful and designed in such a way that one can always find a sunny or shadowy spot at any time of the day. The property owners put a lot of effort to make one’s stay as nice as possible and will leave you all the instructions you need. The gardeners and cleaning lady are extremely nice and helpful. Perfect for a family with young kids - they didn’t want to leave and would love to return next year. By far the best choice we could find in Taormina.

Historic Villa with Beautiful Views
We were greeted at the Villa by our Gracious Hosts, Donatella and Jean Francois. They gave us a tour of the home and helpful information to ensure enjoyment during our stay. This property is in a perfect location for exploring Taormina and the surrounding area. The terraces are relaxing and peaceful. I loved taking my morning coffee on the upper terrace and watching the sunrise over the Ancient Greek Theater, "Teatro Greco" as the Sea sparkled beyond. I would highly recommend this property.

Our group of 7 adults enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful and historic villa. The views of the city and the sea are truly special. As advertised, the many steps from the street can be a challenge (especially after a late night out!), but they weave through a beautiful and unique garden. The 3 upper level bedrooms and the lower level bedrooms allowed for just the right amount of privacy, though we often gathered on the terrace or in the dining room. We also enjoyed spectacular weather in September - the windows and doors were usually kept open for the refreshing cross-breezes (though keep in mind there are no screens, so you have to live with a few insects). The owners were gracious and helpful, happy to relay the history of the property and provide recommendations about Taormina. (Ask about a very fun group cooking class at a nearby hotel restaurant.) They kindly offered access to their large herb garden, and we took full advantage of this when preparing some dinners at the house. We would certainly recommend this property for a group visiting Taormina.

Unique and beautiful house - a holiday escape
We spent two weeks this summer enjoying this beautiful villa with three generations of our family. The house is very special and the views from the balconies and from the terraces behind the house are breathtaking. The lush, lovingly tended gardens ensured that there was always somewhere cool and shaded to sit and read or enjoy the view. In the evenings we often took a drink down to sit amongst the jasmine and honeysuckle and just enjoy the wonderful scent. We often found that up on the hill we enjoyed a pleasant breeze that was absent from the streets below.
The house was well situated, giving easy access to the bustle of the town ( ideal for teenagers) whilst feeling secluded and private for those wanting to get away. The beaches were easy to get to and we were grateful for the advise on where to head for the best spots and the booking of sun loungers and umbrellas. Equally we enjoyed the restaurants, cafes and bars suggested to us.
One of the most special aspects of our stay was the arrangement we were able to make, through the family, with their house keeper - Ida, who cooked us a most wonderful traditional Sicilian feast!
We were particularly grateful for the help we received from the family in booking taxi’s to and from the airport. We did hire a car for a few days and found leaving it at the Lumbi car park worked well as it was only a fairly short (all be it steep) walk from the house.
A most pleasurable stay!

Che bellezza!
We had a glorious time at this villa nestled in the hill of Taormina. The huge terrace has amazing views of the sea, the Greek amphitheater and the town below. It's central location is convenient, 5 minutes to town center and 10 minutes to the funicular for the beach. The house provides wonderful ambience of the authentic Italian experience. Our hosts took great care to make sure of our comfort and were always available to help with questions about Taormina. I miss it already!

Enjoyble old house with wonderful views
We were a young family with 3 small children from 1,5 to 8 years old and found the place ideal for mid term holidays end of October as not crowded and the sea still warm to swim in. We would go to the beach every day!
Lovely house with a beautiful garden.
The family was very helpful in finding a private car service to collect us from Catania airport to Taormina and vice versa, as well as providing for a person to collect the luggage and bring it up to the Villa then down again upon departure.
Quite a few stairs to reach the Villa but worth taking them to admire the beautiful garden and smell the lovely scent of the flowers.
Finally most of the things can be done on foot as the house is centrally located (local fish, meat, fruit and vegetables market in the morning, Etna market for other provisions, and the delicious d'Amore patisserie...all in the same direction and 5mn away on foot).
A perfect holiday.

Is there a better villa in Taromina? Doubtful.
Villa Giuseppina was the perfect venue for our week in Taormina. This distinguished Sicilian home surrounds its guests with authentic, local deep family history in a town that itself is surrounded by and built upon all our shared human past. It was such an honor and pleasure to relax in this classic, personally appointed home, as if we were the owners' invited guests and not paying tenants.
Among Villa Giuseppina's highlights are its luxurious size, ample amenities, extraordinary location, exquisite terraces, luxuriant garden and delightful hosts. The kitchen, bedrooms, baths, living and dining rooms are equipped for easy living. We wanted for nothing. The Villa sits high against the hill topped by the Saracen Castle, the path to which begins a few meters up the road. From both its upper and lower terraces, one enjoys fetching views of the sea and town, including a glimpse of the Greek Theater. Its position relative to town provides easy access to the Parcheggio Lumbi shuttle, the covered market to the north, the supermarket to the south and numerous grocery shops (e.g., Etna) in between.
The Villa's sea-facing terraces, draped in ancient bougainvilleas, are splendid for taking long meals and passing late nights. The large central dining room upstairs provides an elegant alternative in heat or (for us) rain.
The Villa is accessed via a fancifully stone-tiled switchback path of long (~4m) steps, easy for the octogenarian in our party, its extravagant plantings presenting the visitor with a fresh spectrum of fragrances at each turn - jasmine, rosemary, citrus. Ascending to the Villa through this staged olfactory massage never failed to pluck us from the town's tourist crush and gracefully nestle us back into our peaceful hillside oasis.
Finally, considerable gratitude is due our hosts, warm and welcoming people who generously oriented us on our arrival and assisted above and beyond their remit in our departure.
We don't think we would ever return to Taormina if we couldn't again stay at Villa Giuseppina.

Taormina Villa
This is a very special place, all aspects of the villa are thrilling to the senses. The visual beauty, the scent of the honeysuckle, the finishes ,the garden, the bird songs made for a magical experience. There are 50 steps but not a bad thing it is a natural way to get exercise and very easy to navigate with proper lighting. The home sits up in the hill so it is very very secure and stays cool day and night. It is the best of being close to the activity of town and having complete privacy. Everything you could want is close at hand a food market, a patisserie, restaurants, shopping ,local cafe & bars. The beach is 30 minutes away by the funicular . You can see the sea from the terrace.
I would definitely return.

Villa in Taormina, Sicily
This is a beautiful villa with gorgeous views. We were very happy and comfortable here for our 5 day stay. Just be warned that it is quite a climb from the street up to the villa. We were shocked when we first arrived but quickly got used to it. The hosts are wonderful people, very attentive and concerned with our enjoyment of their villa and the town of Taormina. All in all our stay was fantastic and Taormina is a beautiful and romantic place.

Friendly atmosphere
The villa is a supurb location to explore Taormina and its surroundings. Based on top of this historical city the villa has an astonishing view with Taormina "lying at your feet". Taormina is a lovely place where history-adepts, gourmets and shoppers can have a good time.
The 19 th century villa has a very friendly atmosphere. We stayed in May with our family and had a good time.

Gentilissimi i proprietari.
