A fantastic house to stay in, it's so beautiful and well equipped, spacious, and a great place to relax in with a large group. I deeply appreciate the kind and helpful check-in process and the local welcome gifts. Everyone in our group loved it.

We enjoyed a fantastic week in Vers in Mas du Marechal. The property is beautiful and well equipped for a comfortable stay. Communication with Vivienne and Nick was good throughout and any small niggles were quickly dealt with. At very hot times its worth noting that there is no AC in one half of the house but the rooms had fans and it wasn't a big issue.
Overall we greatly enjoyed the house (and the village of Vers) and would love to return.

Mas Du Maréchal in Vers Pont du Gard was the perfect choice for friends and family to gather for a special French experience. The house is warm, welcoming and beautifully furnished and 6 couples were able to enjoy their own space and bathroom. Chef’s kitchen which overlooked the pool area was quintessentially Provence. The village the perfect size to immerse oneself into village life - boulangerie, grocers, markets and two restaurants/cafes. Vivienne (owner) was incredibly prompt and concise with communication and even arranged for some Pétanque sets to be delivered so we could play down at the village square. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The home is beautifully decorated, comfortable, everyone had a private ensuite and a luxurious bedroom. Everything was well thought through in the kitchen, dining room and entertainment space. Thank you for an exceptional week in your very special home.

Excellent house for a larger family or big group. We were two families and a couple and it worked like a glove. Layout of bedrooms and batheooms is genius. Pool was nice, the kitchen great and outdoor seating area was covered from the sun and very pleasant. We had some minor issues with smaller things missing from the house but it was quickly handled by the manager Rachel. One should however think carefully about summer bookings of the house as it doesn’t have any air conditioning and with the heatwave in France this summer we struggled to get temperatures in the bedrooms below 28-29 degrees celsius. Sleeping worked fine however as there are plenty of fans in the rooms but one should be aware of it. We had a great time and would consider renting this place again.

Vivienne's property was a splendid place for a family reunion. It was equipped with everything that we needed for our oldest son to don his chef's cap and serve delicious meals under the reed canopy by the pool. The pool was great in the high (100 degree) heat. Vers is located within about 30 minutes of Avignon and Nimes and about 50 to Arles. Vivienne was excellent to work with and always communicated quickly. I would not hesitate to stay here again and can recommend it highly to anyone interested.

Fabulous house
My wife and I rented the house to take our son and daughter and their families (four grandchildren) to Provence. The house was perfect with the grandparents' bedroom and bathroom on the main floor behind the kitchen while the upstairs in divided into two separate apartments each with a bedroom for the parents , a bedroom with twin beds for the grandchildren and two bathrooms. The bonus was the swimming pool which entertained all ages.
There is an excellent boulangerie just down the road and a shop next door which has most items you may need. The house book is excellent, listing restaurants and shops in nearby towns, and attractions within about an hours drive.
Vivienne was wonderful to work with and responded promptly to all my pre-trip questions. Rachel, the site contact, was very helpful and responsive. The meal that we hired Carly to cook for us was delicious.
We highly recommend this house, especially for a family vacation or reunion.

Great stay
We had a great stay at Mas Marechal, the property is big and every room has their own bathroom. We all felt very independent while we all met for breakfast and diner around the massive table outside. The swimming pool is relatively small for lengths but good for the kids to play and adults to refresh. The temperature was perfect! We also really appreciated the warm welcome by Rachel and her availability during our stay.

Magnificent stay in a house with unique ambiance
The house is a jewel in terms of architecture and interior design. It has a great sitting area inside and a large dinner table outside by the swimming pool. The bedrooms are perfectly comfortable. The kitchen has full equipment and is spacious enough to enjoy some quality time while cooking. Overall, the house was a perfect location for a reunion among friends. We enjoyed the village of Vers itself with its nice wine bard La Grange. It is a short drive to some of the most beautiful parts of Provence and Lanquedoc. The area outside was nice for walks and bicycle rides. Vivenne, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive in the run-up and during our stay. The only point to keep in mind is that the house is in the centre of the village and activity does start early the morning, also doing the holiday period. Overall, we were greatly impressed with the house and enjoyed tremendously our stay there.

Very happy about our stay
The house is beautifully restored, with a lot of cachet and taste, quiet, very well equipped and close to amenities.
We had a great time in this property.
Vivienne is a great host, she made spontaneously all kinds of suggestions, practical ones for the village, visits in the area and cultural ones as well.

Perfect Mas for a group
Mas du Marechal was absolutely perfect for our group of five couples. It exceeded all of our expectations. The layout of the home is perfect for a large group. Everyone had the space they needed to be together or find a corner for alone time. The Mas is decorated lovingly and is extremely comfortable.
We were fortunate to have a chef for 3 nights of our stay. The chef had Everything he needed for preparing meals in this thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Plating meals for ten with multiple courses was not a problem either, due to the wonderful dishware that is provided.
We enjoyed all these meals on the terrace which easily accommodated all ten of us at the table. It could not of been more elegant, eating beautiful food outside with candlelight.
Vivienne suggested the market in Uzes. We all had a lovely Saturday morning exploring the market and Uzes. Thank you for that suggestion.
Day trips from the Mas were plentiful, the problem was choosing which to go to with only a week. Pont du Gard was amazing, we all enjoyed that trip.
Vers Pont du Gard is a charming village. We visited the bakery many times and La Grange, a perfect bistro to walk to for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and a snack.
All ten of use would come back to Mas du Marechal in a instant.
Thank you Vivienne and Madeleine for making our stay in Provence exceptional.

Fantastic stay
We have just returned from a fabulous week at Mas du Marechal. For us it was a perfect house for 2 families to share, with children from 4 months to 17 years everyone had enough space with some to spare! The kitchen is really well stocked, far more than we have experienced at other house rentals. We loved the interior design of the property and Vivienne has really transformed the property with her thoughtful and sympathetic refurbishment.
The children had great fun in the pool and we spent most of our time outdoors in the compact but wonderful garden.
The location of the house is second to none and we were only a short drive from major tourist attractions and towns. We particularly loved Uzes and also river swimming nearby.
Vers Pont du Gard is a lovely little town, we visited the bakery every day and enjoyed a really loved evening at La Grange. We had a wonderful stay at Mas du Marechal, both Vivienne and Madeleine were extremely hospitable and helpful and we're all looking forward to returning for our next summer holiday.

A family gathering in Provence
Beautiful village mas in a central area of Provence allowing visits in nearby sites such as Nimes, Avignon and Uzès. Something new to discover every day. And after touring playing in the pool was a must for all. The mass is furnished in exquisite taste there is nothing missing! Fantastic venue for work and play! Highly recommended.

Mas du Marechal more than lived up to our hopes and dreams. With 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, it fit our family of 3 generations marvellously. The house is not only well appointed but also very comfortable.. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more. The kids lived in the pool and due to the heat the adults too swam every day. The owner readily answered all my questions and sent information about the town and area well ahead of our time there. The little village is delightful complete with a bakery. Now all I need is an excuse to return to Mas du Marechal!

Absolutely beautiful house
We had the most amazing time at this beautiful house. We spent a week with 8 of us in total and could not have asked for a more beautiful place to spend our holidays. The house was equipped with everything we needed, the kitchen was beautiful and we loved how it was stocked with oils/vinegars/ herbs etc which we didn’t have to worry about buying. The short walk round to the boulangerie in the morning and the tapas bar in the evenings was so convenient. We couldn’t recommend the area and the house highly enough.

Stunningly Restored Home in Charming Village
This property is everything we hoped it would be! Huge airy rooms with soaring ceilings and lovely decor and furnishings!! All the details have been thought through to ensure an amazing stay will be had by all!! The kitchen has absolutely everything one could want to cook a nice meal, which we did on a few occasions as we just wanted to stay in and enjoy al fresco dining in the lovely yard. Every morning we walked over to the bakery and got an assortment of delicious treats for breakfast, we were there two weeks and never got tired of it! This is a wonderful home for so many reasons and it was a great home base for us to visit all the amazing cities and villages near by. We did the hike to the Pont du Gard from the village, it was fun and is an amazing site to see! We had our grown kids and our 3 year old grandson with us - everything is there for a child (we left some pool toys behind), he loved the pool!!! Check in and out was easy and the owner is very helpful!! Highly recommend!!!

Ladies week at Vers-Pont-du-Gard.
What a delightful home away from home! Beautifully appointed and very comfortable home in a lovely small town in the French countryside. Pure bliss! Comfort, style and beauty.
With the centre of town around the corner, this is your perfect country retreat.
Inviting garden with outside area to relax with a glass of wine under the trees.
Peace and quiet all around.
Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Amazing house. Wonderful village.
We so enjoyed our week here. The house is absolutely amazing - a perfect place to relax and disconnect. The layout makes it perfect for 2 families to enjoy the space. The pool and grounds are lovely. And Vivienne is a wonderful hostess. Many thanks!

Perfect
This house has been beautifully restored with a bathroom for each bedroom, large living spaces and an amazing kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed spending time here as well as seeing the many sites that were all quite close. It is lovely in the morning to pick up a pastry at the boulangerie and have it with a coffee at La Grange on the square. This cafe has quite a vibe and is lovely at any time of the day.
We have rented many holiday homes in Europe and this one is the best we have stayed in. Thankyou Vivienne for everything you supplied (even shopping bags) and the comprehensive guide book.

A fabulous house in a fabulous village in a fabulous area!
I spent a week with friends in Vers Pont du Gard in June. Mas du Mareschal has everything one could wish for in a house. The house has been beautifully restored and is tastefully furnished with lovely rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen has everything a good cook or "foodie" could need and with the gorgeous markets abounding in the area we made some great meals! The configuration of the house allows a large group of friends or family to socialise easily (internally as well as externally) but there is also a lot of space for being on ones own. The village, which is close to a number of major tourist sites and towns, is quiet and friendly, with a great bakery and a lovely coffee shop/tapas bar set under the trees in the main square. This is a great place for a vacation and I will be back

Amazing week in a gorgeous house.
Four friends reunited in this beautiful home in early May for a week of relaxation as well as exploration. The house itself was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. Each of the five bedrooms were large and had access to its own modern bathroom. It would definitely also be a great house for couples traveling together or perhaps two families. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and lacked for nothing. And being able to have our evening meals on the patio beside the pool was a definite treat. The village of Vers itself was lovely and we definitely enjoyed getting our coffee and pain au chocolat in the mornings. The location of Vers Pont du Gard was very convenient and made it easy for our day trips to Uzes (definitely one of our favorite spots, especially for market day), Avignon, Aix en Provence, Arles, Nimes, Chaeauneuf de Pape and Gigondas. Vivienne, the owner, was extremely helpful in our trip preparations and had a bottle of rose chilled for us on our arrival. She also has a very helpful book on the coffee table in which she has compiled lots of interesting information on "how the French" do things as well as restaurant recommendations, a schedule of market days along with tips on how to get around while driving. Madeleine, who managed the house and met us with the key was very helpful and gave us the tour of the house and showed us how things worked. We would definitely recommend checking this house out for a vacation spot.

A beautifully restored property in a charming village
Our extended family group was very comfortable at Mas du Marechal. We were a group of nine, three generations, and there was plenty of room for all. The luxury of nicely appointed bathrooms in each bedroom cannot be overstated! The kitchen was roomy and well stocked. The property has been beautifully restored, with great attention to detail and comfort. Our stay began with a delicious catered meal, poolside, and our biggest challenge was choosing how to spend our time, when so much beckoned. A half day cooking class at Le Pistou in Uzès was a wonderful and delicious activity!

Lits confortables. Terrasse agréable. Nous y avons pris tous nos repas. Mets de la région et vins rosés... Le mas est bien situé. Boulangerie à 2 minutes. La Grange (petit bistro) pour l'apéro. Nous rêvons d'y retourner !

Lovely home away from home
Nine close friends spent a week in this lovely home. The covered patio was perfect for our catered dinner and wine tasting. The pool provided a great way to cool off after sight seeing. The living room and dining area accommodate a large group comfortably. Beds are comfortable. The village of Vers Pont du Gard was special. We especially loved the bakery and La Grange restaurant and the ability to walk to each of them. Uzes is a ten minute drive away with a great market, shops, and restaurants. We would recommend the Le Pistou cooking classes in Uzes. Great fun and food.
This home was a great location for a home base as we explored the area. Thank you Vivienne for such a beautiful restoration!

Wonderful!
Mas du Marechal is stunning. The beds are extremely comfortable and we all slept so well. The garden and pool are really lovely and we spent a lot of our time lounging around during the day and sitting around the table in the evening eating, drinking and chatting. The kitchen had everything we needed and all of the rooms were so beautifully decorated with no compromise on comfort. The village is beautiful - we loved the market, the boulangerie and especially La Grange which we visited on several occasions. We had a wonderful lunch at Le Tracteur too. It is a shame that the village supermarket had closed down but we were able to get everything we needed in nearby supermarkets.
We will look back on our week at Le Mas du Marechal with many fond memories

Beautifully decorated, spacious house
This house welcomes you with an atmosphere of hospitality. Our group filled it to capacity, yet we never felt crowded. The common areas provide indoor and outdoor pretty spaces to be -- together for a festive meal or apart for quiet conversation or moments of solitude. Good floor plan. There are steep stairwells and a number of changes in level of flooring inside and out, so I can't recommend this house to anyone with mobility or vision limitations. We encountered some problems with plumbing hardware and a blocked gas line when we first arrived, so we were extremely glad the non-local owner employs expert local help. Dominique and Christophe responded quickly and courteously, assuring that minor problems did not become major difficulties. The cook-top is balky. No complaints about anything else in that kitchen where every need has been anticipated and provided for well. Even ample shopping bags and totes for the nearby recycling bins are at hand. Wonderful pool. Pretty garden. I recommend this house for two families travelling together or for groups of friends.
The little village is blessed to have a great bakery/pastry within an easy stroll. Steps in the other direction lead to a pleasant cafe/bar. I can't imagine a more welcoming spot. We met (and bought from) local artisans, borrowed a guitar, petted the local dogs, drank many a beer and mint lemonade and afternoon espresso. What Vers does not have is a bank or ATM machine, so be sure to do banking transactions in larger towns. We loved the people, the village, and the house.

Second time here. As usual, just sublime!
This was our first time back since our Honeymoon, and we managed to make full use of the space this time...with a 6 month old baby and extended family! In this visit, aside from the too beautiful Uzes and the Pont, we managed trips to St. Remy and Les Baux, where the Carrieres de Lumieres is an absolute must. A day trip to Marseille was well worth the drive. Also the le Pistou Cooking School, in Uzes, and the Uzes Wine School in Collias really gave us the full Provencal experience! Just love it here and will definitely be back.

Esme , Carol and Sydney,
This is the third time I have had the pleasure to stay at the Mas du Marechal. My teenage daughters and their friends just want to return , time and again , to them the whole experience epitomizes the ultimate holiday. The excitement all starts when they board the TGV train in Paris, it has its own charm and travelling at lightening speed gets you to Avignon , rested and ready to start having a ball. We've had days on which we planned to stay home and just have a peaceful and leisurely time together , but inevitably someone dreams up a new excursion for us and off we go .We had such a lovely invigorating hike through the forest from the Pont du Gard into the village of Vers. Such breathtaking views of the river and countryside and a rejuvenation of mind and soul. Our girls , who are learning French now will make a point of doing the morning bread run , all in an effort to be the first to say Bonjour to the Boulangerie lady and to practise using some new words they have learnt. Oh!, and the shopping , the surrounding towns and villages allow you such an array of choices , just buying the food for your dinner is an event that you can spend hours at , savouring the colours and aromas in the open air market at Uzes , so much to do and see, the girls bought numerous unique gifts for friends and family there . We've had a few wonderful day trips too , Avignon and the Popes palace , Aigues Mortes in the Camargue, where we could see the famous black bulls and white horses while cruising on a river boat. It is so convenient to return home in the evenings to a comfortable lodging where you can simply unwind and enjoy the outdoor space on the terrace or jump into the pool. THe open plan kitchen and dining area allows for such fun in preparing meals, we'd sit at the table playing cards and board games in the evenings too with hoots of laughter and the sheer pleasure of each others company..

Amazing home
My family and I were lucky enough to spend a wonderful week in the quaint village of Vers Pont Du Gard at this amazing home. The home has been wonderfully restored and has all the facilities and amenities you could want. Spacious bedrooms, large open living area and kitchen to a pool and outdoor area to enjoy the hot summer weather. Very well situated, we enjoyed day trips to the surrounding areas. There is lots to do with some very useful information at the house about the surrounding areas and activities. I would go back in a heart beat! I would highly recommend staying at Mas du Mareschal.

Perfect place to celebrate with family and friends!
We celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary with friends from around the world at this perfect location. The home is a work of love. Vivienne has a photo album of before and after renovations and staying in the home, it is evident how thoughtful she was in the design and furnishing of the home. All the rooms are very generously sized and the common areas were perfect for late evening chats and entertainment. Vivienne is knowledgeable and generous with her advice. The outside areas are also fabulous. We had all our meals on the terrace. Everything you could possibly need is in the home, candles, kitchen tools, extra towels, blankets, etc. The kitchen was a chef's dream. We cooked amazing meals in this kitchen. Vers is a wonderful quaint village that served as a great base for us to explore the region. While we were there the Village Fete Votive was kicking off, so we were lucky enough to witness the bull run. Vivienne also recommended a wonderful, talented chef who cooked a celebratory dinner for our anniversary. It was a dream vacation where memories of a lifetime for the young and old were made. I highly recommend the property.
