Liebenswerte und um das Wohl des Gastes bemühte Gastgeber, ein hervorragendes Frühstück mit regionalen Produkten und eine geschmackvolle Ausstattung und Einrichtung.

The location is excellent. It is quiet while being just a short 5 minute drive into Kilarney.
Connor gives great tips on what to see and Bridget is so kind and friendly.
The breakfast was fantastic. In particular, the home made bread and locally sourced honey are both fabulous.
Bridget was wonderful at breakfast each morning, making time to speak to everyone and make them feel welcome.
-There is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
-There is no screen for the shower and it is a small bathroom so the entire bathroom floor gets wet.
-When I was leaving I looked at my email to see the amount I had to pay and I said the amount out loud in pounds because that was what showed first on my email.
At the hotel you pay in euros and the amount originally quoted from booking.com was £9 (sterling) less than what I actually needed to pay on the day.
That isn't a problem at all (and it says further down on the email that the amount is approximate).
I was simply thinking out loud when I worked out the payment and noticed the difference. I was gathering my thoughts and just trying to keep track of things.
However, it wasn't taken well and I received the comments "This is Ireland so you pay in euros" and "There is no overcharging here" which both made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I didn't say anything else about it and would rather have moved to another topic or just left but I was then told I was "doing well" in regard to the conversation rate and had paid less than what was on my original booking confirmation.
I knew that wasn't the case but I didn't want to keep talking about it as it made me feel awkward and I regretted saying anything out loud at all.
It was a bit of a shame to leave feeling like that because it had been such a nice stay.
I would suggest just to pay and leave without mentioning any of that. Just look at those details yourself later in private.
But overall it is a lovely place to stay, managed by two hosts who work exceptionally hard.

Fantastic place, warm hosts with ample helpful information. Quiet and clean, renovated rooms with comfortable bed, USB ports by bedside (=)) lovely breakfast, excellent quality produce. Would have loved to have stayed 3 to 4 nights rather than 1.
The shower had no screen, so stressful having a shower because the water went everywhere. I didn't wash my hair for this reason as I didn't want to potentially wreck the carpet. Also no tea facilities in the room. Had to go to lounge area, which was beautifully decorated and inviting so not really a problem.

We spent 2 nights with Conor and Bridget at their delightful place set into woods with a stream and a carpet of bluebells. Bridget's raspberry jam for breakfast was the BEST and the breakfast provided was lovely. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and did everything in their power to make our stay wonderful.

The staff were incredible! They were welcoming, helpful, and very genuine. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of options. The room was very cozy and the location was nice and quiet (even with a small airport nearby).
My bathroom was a small wet room, where there was no shower door. I wouldn’t say that I “disliked” this, but it’s not something I’m used to and found it a bit stressful that water was getting everywhere. It never did seep out the door to the bathroom though…

EVERYTHING!. From the moment we were in the door till we were out the door it was exceptional. The information provided, where to eat, what to do, how to get around etc etc was spot on. The drinks at the bar were well thought out, and the variety and choices were incredible. Any decent bar/pub would be proud of it. The breakfast was better than most4/5 star hotels. Fresh coffee/tea (Bowley's). fresh fruit, home make jams, honey (yum), yoghurt, brown bread, cereals, warm B'fast of your choice. even VEGAN, unbelievable. More tea, coffee, more of everything. Some guests even took food away (Bread, cheese, salami, fruits, fresh water). Sorted for the day. The host, staff, chef, etc nothing was an issue or too much
Everything. The location, the babbling brook, the hosts, the staff etc etc. Like I said nothing was a a problem. The ambience. the home away from home (only better) feeling, the true IRISH WELCOME and Friendliness, the generosity, the hosts efforts to please and provide.

Comfortable, beautiful setting and lovely inn keepers and staff.
Since we did not have a car, it was a stretch to walk and the first leg out of the inn had no sidewalk area.

Beautiful setting. Convenient for driving; easy access to main roads to the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula, but also easy to pop down to Killarney for dinner.
Great breakfast cooked to order and great vegetarian options
Highlight was hospitality of the hosts… and the great touring advice!

carpet was throughout the room, the carpet it self is not dirty.

If you are ever in the vicinity of Killarney and looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend Gleann Fia Country House. It's comfortable and very tastefully appointed, and the location just outside the city of Killarney is terrific. But best of all are hosts Connor and Bridget. Connor's recommendations were superb. I was very fortunate to enjoy a delightful 3-night stay.
I would not have changed anything.

Great hosts, tasty breakfast (mostly local products), and sitting in the den by the fire after a long day of hiking around Killarney National Park.

Lovely setting, everything was spotlessly clean. We had an enormous room . It was good to have the shared lounge with honesty bar.
It was a little too far to walk to Killarney.
