HOUSE TOUR
This 1864 farmhouse underwent a full renovation to create a unique hospitality experience for guests. You enter through the front door into the kitchen - the heart of the home. The full chef's kitchen, accented with cathedral ceilings + hand-hewn beams, provides guests with an upscale-cooking experience, down to the appliances + cutlery. Music + conversation flow freely as guests can cook and relax together within the open concept floor plan. A mudroom off the back of kitchen allows extra storage for those boots, coats, and gear.
This 1688 sq ft home packs a lot of punch - sleeping up to 10 adults in 4 bedrooms with 2.5 baths. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and is located downstairs through the sliding barn door off the living room. This loops around into the downstairs full bath, which boasts a 4ft clawfoot tub for stand-up showering or soaking for the kids.
Up the old-fashioned split staircase, you'll find Bedroom 2 off to the left. Bedroom 2 offers two double beds, two closets and a dresser. Many guests comment on the sideways Vermont window, also referred to as a "witches window", historic to New England farmhouses of this era.
Across the landing is the start of the upstairs hallway. Bedroom 3 is the Bunk Room, located off the back of the house. Built to withstand the weight of kids and adults alike, the two single beds provide sleeping arrangements for those looking to feel like a kid again. The closet in this room is one of the largest in the house and is where guests can find the Pack'N'Play if traveling with young children.
Down the hallway through an antique pocket door, you'll find the powder room. This bathroom serves as a great option for night-time and morning routine and teeth-brushing. The recessed medicine cabinet offers additional storage for guests.
At the end of the hallway, you'll enter Bedroom 4, the Master Bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite bath. This room has a reclaimed barnwood ceiling, a dresser, and a private en suite bathroom that all guests will want to enjoy. The Master Bath offers his + her aged brass faucets and a vaulted shiplap shower with flush-entry. Ursa Major Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash are provided for all guests as well as soap, lotion, Qtips, cotton balls, first aid kit, and make-up towels.
HEATING + COOLING
The wood-burning stove is located in the Dining Room and provides a secondary source of heat during cold Vermont winters - cord wood is located in the basement. The NEST thermostat is located along the Dining Room wall and serves as the primary heat source. In the Living Room and Master Bedroom, a heat pump mini split can be used for additional heating + cooling in winter/summer months and is operated by a remote control. Fans are also provided if needed for white noise or additional cooling.

We enjoyed our stay. The house has been updated and is charming. My only concern is it’s not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs are so steep. The claw foot tub is charming but impossible for an old person to get in to use the shower. I can’t do stairs but I had to make it up the steps to shower. It was well equipped with high end appliances and kitchen tools. Lines were lovely with quality soaps and shampoo’s. They have done everything possible to make it a lovely experience.

We enjoyed staying at this home. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed which made for a seamless stay. House is actually prettier in person because the view from the front porch is why you go to Stowe! Walkable to several restaurants, shops and walking trails.

Our family of 6 enjoyed this beautiful home which is located within walking distance to most of Stowe. Bedding was comfortable, digital entertainment was scarce (which we loved) and the kitchen was very well supplied with snacks supplied.
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay.

Such a beautifully restored, quintessential Vermont farm home. We loved our stay and all of the lovely details that made for a warm, fun family getaway. So nice to be able to walk to dinner after a day on the mountain! Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is about 15 minute drive to the ski mountain and just a short walk to the beautiful down town. The house is beautifully renovated and was comfortable for two families to share. We had a great stay!

house was fairly comfortable. Location excellent, able to walk to town (or drive) and the mountain is only a few minutes away. The property quiet and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen supplies very well stocked. Only con was that the house is pretty drafty.

Beautiful and clean farm house. Very relaxing place to stay. Centrally located and able to walk to restaurants and shops. Walking distance & a short drive to down town Stowe. The views from the window of Stowe are lovely. Only 10 minutes from Stowe mountain! Great place for adults and kids.

This is a great house! Short walk to town and charmingly decorated. The hosts really take great care of this house and communication was easy and efficient. You feel like you are staying in someone's very nice and stylish Vermont home.
A few things to keep in mind if you are staying with small children or elderly.
1. The stairs have narrow steps which is to be expected of this historic home. There is a bedroom on the first floor which is great.
2. One window in a bedroom didn't close all the way for us. But there was a shutter over it that closed all the way.
3. There is a sidewalk that leads into town but it is on the opposite side of the road. Cars on that road drive about 30 miles an hour or so it felt like. There is a crosswalk a half a block away from the house.

Our stay at the Farmhouse was fantastic. The owners were quick to respond to inquiries and very nice.
The decor was impeccable and you can tell thought went into every detail. It felt like we were staying at an interior design showcase. Everything was comfy and cozy.
The kitchen was fully stocked, including a cupboard of snacks, and linens were luxurious. On top of that, we arrived to a basket with a gift card and local coffee beans.
The location is great and very close to downtown. We walked into the main drag for morning coffee, and used the provided bikes on the town's rec path which I highly recommend.
I'd definitely come back.

We absolutely loved Stowe, and a large part of it being such a great trip was staying at the Farm Home. As we drove up the driveway we first noticed the garden that makes it immediately feel homey. Upon entering the house we noticed how clean everything was. Lots of room, well stocked kitchen, fun fire pit out back that we sat around every night we were there and visited for hours. Everything was as advertised or better, and Lisa was quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. Her store downtown is super cute and must see while in Stowe. Thanks Lisa for a great stay. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a place we can’t wait to come back to! This home exudes charm. It has been updated and is so stylish, clean, yet they held on to the historic charm of the property. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and it felt like home. We loved riding the bikes around town and the close proximity to everything in Stowe made it so much fun. Can’t wait to visit again!

My friends and I planned a girls trip to Stowe, and the Farm House was the perfect home for our stay. It was beautifully designed, clean, and had tons of sustainable products, which was awesome. Check in and check out were clear and easy, and the location was extremely central. I would definitely return on my next Vermont trip.

Upon entering you are overwhelmed with the cleanliness, warmth and character of this beautiful house. Everything is first class. Go for a walk through the garden to the Adirondack chairs perched high above the bustle of Mountain Road. Close to the center of Stowe, a short walk to shops and restaurants. Mud/snow room is perfectly designed for ski storage and shedding layers of snow clothes. If you are undecided about staying at this house, just click yes. You will not be disappointed.

The Farm House is amazingly cute and cozy! We loved our week long ski trip as a family at Stowe and came back to the house each night to have dinner, sit around the wood stove and play board games. It was just so perfect! Very Vermont! The house is only about 10 mins to the ski resort. And it is situated practically next door to Ranch Camp and Doc Ponds restaurants - both which had excellent food.
The house was just as pictured and super duper clean. We had not one issue all week with anything. There was even a snow plow that came all the way up into the driveway for us!

The Farm House is a lovely gem! The space was beautiful , clean and well maintained. It is obvious that lots of attention to detail goes into maintaining this charming home. We loved the wood stove and my kids loved the hill in the backyard that entertained them for hours. Thank you for a great stay.

We were a group of 6 friends/family members heading to ski for the weekend. The place is located right by Stowe downtown so access to shops and restaurants is ideal, it is also a very short drive (< 10 min depending on weather conditions), from the ski area. The only downside is that there is not really good common spaces, there is a dining room with metal chairs by the fire place, and then a different area with a few couches and a TV that can comfortable accommodate 4 people. But there is not a large common space for 6+ people to just socialize and lounge. Otherwise it is perfect place!

Just as pictured, the design of The Farm Home is beautiful. Lisa and Tyson have thought of everything and have gone out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. From the beds to the linens to the fully stocked kitchen to the heated drive and walk ways to the beautiful Christmas Tree everything was perfect! The location of The Farm Home cannot be beat. And it’s just a short walk to their store, Farm Home Co., where you can take a little bit of The Farm Home home with you. We will be back for sure! Thank you Lisa and Tyson for taking such good care of us and introducing us to magical Stowe!
