Villa Margarida by Laranjal Rentals is a superb property greatly located in Olhos de Água - Albufeira, wide areas inside and outside. With 5 large bedrooms (3 ensuite) a great balcony facing south with fantastic country and sea views. A very comfy lounge area with large LED screen next to the pool table and dinning area all with wide glass doors facing exterior lounge, BBQ and pool area, the pool can be fenced for kids safety. Large lawn, great for kids games with swings and slides, below this area you will find the pool house with table tennis and table football.

Villa Margarida was amazing! The size of the place was perfect for us (a larger group of friends and family), having the swimming pool, table tennis and pool table kept everyone entertained throughout. The villa is also in a great location in between Albuferia and Villamoura, with cheap taxis either way. We would definitely recommend! Thanks again.

We had the best time during our stay over New Year 2023/24! The property had everything to make our family celebrations the best they could be including heated pool and jacuzzi, walled garden for our 2 dogs, pool table, table tennis and foozball. The house itself is large and accommodating, with a great, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with lots of bathrooms and ample hot water. The supermarket and beach were within easy walking distance and there is ample parking. The host even installed a charging point for our Tesla! We really couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a weeks holiday in October half term at this villa. Child of 11 years old, and 16 years old, plus 5 adults in our party. No issues with space with us all staying in the same property. Everywhere was spotless, good sized rooms, plenty of utensils/crockery/glasses etc in the kitchen. Bedrooms all good, beds comfortable, bathroom and an-suites all very good. Lots of seating in the main lounge. Plenty of games to play, which certainly helped when it rained a couple of times. The table tennis and bar football and pool table kept us all entertained. Plenty of bars and restaurants all within a short walking distance, we sampled most of them, no complaints. We also walked in to Olhos de Agua Centre, not far either, all down hill, walking back was no problem uphill. Local supermarket is also within walking distance, stocks everything needed. Owner Joao looked after the whole booking and managing process very well, we were met by Elia the maid when we arrived quite late, she was very friendly. Any issues were dealt with effectively and efficiently, even when it was out of their hands / bad weather for 1 day. There is also a folder in the villa with good recommendations for restaurants and bars etc, very helpful. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone of any sized family of any ages.

Beautiful villa in a great location
My family and I stayed here early October and everything was perfect. We had two 1 year olds in the party and the villa provided everything we could have asked for - cots, high chairs, even the pool was fenced off. The location was great as well with a good supermarket 5 minute walk and a great beach with shops and restaurants only 10 minutes walk. Couldn’t recommend Villa Margarida more highly...already looking forward to next year!

Perfect for families
Our family of 7 adults and two toddlers have just returned from a wonderful 10 days in this great villa.
It has everything a large family needs,plenty of room ,lovely comfortable beds,great bathrooms,plenty of seating,inside and out, great location,short walk from everything you would need.
Joao and his team were excellent,very easy to contact at all times.
We have visited the Algarve many times and this it the best villa we have stayed in.

Incredible place for a large family in Albufeira
This is a grand place to stay for a family vacation. It can handle a party of 17 people easily. The host was very responsive when we forgot the combination for the safe, he responded the same day to fix it. The location is terrific as it's 400 meters or so from the beach. The people are pleasant and not pretentious at all. When we needed any help the team responded the very same day. The host is very receptive to the need of his guests & tries to fulfill them. I dare say the host goes above and beyond the call of duty. If you have children or a large family and plan to visit Albufeira then this is the place. If we come back then we are staying here again. We would plan to revisit other properties owned by our host Joao.

Long stay in villa Margarida
The villa Margarida provides all the comfort needed for a long stay. Apart from the spacoius living room, well located bedrooms at the sunny side of the villa, the well equipped kitchen it also provided a billiard table and separate housing for a tennis table, etc.. The weekly cleaning is done by dedicated staff and supply of towels is well organised. The villa is located in close vincinity of restaurants with a large variaty of foods/kitchens. The owner is very responsive in case of any problems one may encounter. In summary, the vacation of 6 weeks in villa Margarida was very enjoyable and combined with the nice weather and a many golf courses around, it has been a superb experience.

Albufeira Old Town is also only a short taxi ride away. The villa is fairly new and modern. The pool and grounds are just fantastic and we particularly liked the security shutters that black out all windows. Perfect for a great nights sleep when that sun comes up early. The owner Joao is also the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is taken care of for when you arrive to ensure the perfect holiday awaits. On our recent visit our son was ill with a virus that he picked up in the UK and Joao was so kind in helping us out in so many ways. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity. This villa is of high quality throughout.
This villa is exactly as advertised: high quality, clean and well maintained. Excellent air conditioning throughout. We would certainly recommend the pool and jacuzzi heating. The staff are friendly and most helpful. After arriving early we were able to leave the suitcases and go for lunch. Any problems were sorted quickly. The villa was conveniently located for the supermarket (5 minutes walk) restaurants (many within walking distance) and the beach (15 minutes walk). car not needed, we used a minibus for 12 to travel to water parks and Zoomarine. We were a party of 11 ranging from 4 years old to 65 year old grandparents. At the end of our holiday a precious toy was left behind and this was returned by post. In summary - highly recommended.

Excellent Villa
We stayed in Villa Margarida as a family of ten for two weeks during July / August 2018. We ranged from Grandparents to 4 and 7 year old grandchildren. As a family group we have enjoyed a number of villa holidays but Villa Margarida allowed us to experience the best holiday to date. The location of the villa is excellent with no car being required. Two beaches and Olhos de Agua centre being a 15 / 20 minute walk away. The large supermarket is a 5 minutes walk and there are numerous restaurants within easy reach.
We also enjoyed the space provided by the villa, both inside and out and the safe environment. Electric gates at the front, a house alarm, blackout shutters at all windows, a pool fence and stair gates for the children.
The Owner Mr Joao Barreto was very responsive to all emails and provided good advice when requested. Elia (housemaid) and her husband Luis (maintenance) are also very nice to deal with.

Stunning villa
We stayed at this villa 2-9 June 2018 and had a lovely time. The villa is well equipped and has everything you need. Very spacious so plenty of room for a big family. Super market was a 5 min walk up the road so we could get all of our food supplies. Some nice restaurants just past the supermarket, all that's missing is a few bars, we didn't want anything too lively as we had a 4 month old with us but there was no where to have a few drinks before/after dinner unless you went into the new and old town which was a cab ride away.
Overall we had a lovely time the weather wasn't great but that can't be helped.

Brilliant Villa perfect for three generations
Fabulous stay in lovely villa,11 of us covering three generations really enjoyed it. Excellent facilities, very well equipped and secure. Great location next to very good Italian restaurant and 5mins from supermarket. Olhos de Agua fishing village and beach easy walking distance. Short taxi ride to Villamoura and Albufeira. Our stay in Villa Margarida
Villa Margarida is situated on a fine location in the middle of Olhos d'Agua in close vicinity of Albufeira and Vilamoura. The villa is furnished with fit-for purpose furniture, including the possibilities to, when the weather is less attractive, to entertain yourself in the house. A billiard table is in the house itself and in a separate little garden house a table tennis table is available. The living room is spacious and the four bedrooms upstairs are situated at the sunny side of the house and have a nice feeling with beds of good quality. Outside of the house there is a comfortable seating area and adequate loungers around the swimming pool.
The owner of the house employs nice staff for cleaning and handyman-activities. In case of problems occurring, he responds quickly and efficiently.

The Villa made the family holiday special
This was the first time that three generations had spent a whole week
together in the sun. The villa was superb, Modern, fully equipped, well positioned and spacious enough for everyone. Extra large bedrooms and a fantastic heated swimming pool. We are certainly looking forward to re-booking asap.

Lovely villa in a very good location
We had a great stay, the villa is very comfortable and easy to stay in, we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, the local beeches, restaurants and bars. We had a night in Albefiera which is a short taxi ride away, went aquapark. We all had a fab time.

Perfect Villa
Villa Margarida is perfect. Its a lovely safe and secure environment for families with great facilities at the Villa and nearby. The staff are polite and courteous and dealt with our enquiries and questions very quickly. The pool and outside seating areas were well used by our family and thoroughly enjoyed. I can highly recommend this Villa for Families young and old. You dont even need to have a car if you dont want to drive as the beach, restaurants and a large supermarket are all within walking distance

Perfect location and perfect accommodation! We had two weeks at this beautiful villa and it was so relaxing. Had everything we need and pool was lovely. We recommend paying for the heating on pool and hot tub because it was just right with heating on! Would definitely recommend this Villa!

5* villa everything you could want from a holiday property
Fabulous property, amazing facilities you won't want to leave it! Owner extremely accommodating and easy to deal with. No negatives but if we were to pick something that would help make experience even better it would be to have a welcome pack with information about the area, restaurants etc and to have had a few basic supplies left for us until we were able to get to a shop (dishwasher tablets, bin bags water). Would highly recommend and would definitely return

We recently stated at Villa Margarida for 2 weeks with 8 adults and 4 children (all under 4). Joao has a very slick operation here with good on the ground support and was able to provide everything we needed from a swimming pool guard for the children to immediate support when we couldn't work something. The entire property is finished to a very high standard and genuinely has been thought out for the occupiers needs. For example, the kitchen is generously stocked with every type of pan / plate / glass you could need and especially caters well for BBQs and group eating. The BBQ is also brilliant and a lovely way to spend the evenings.
The location is ideal for local restaurants/bars. Next door is typical Portuguese but if you want something a bit special we recommend Passaro Azul for fish. The supermarket isn't even 5 minutes away which is very useful, and there is also a fish market next to it open until 1pm and a great bar called New York. Lots of cafes as well for the morning coffee fix.
The walk to the beach is 10 minutes which didn't bother us. Security is very good with electric gates, electric shutters and modern alarm.
We would love to return in the future. This is an example of how a Villa should be presented and run - THANK YOU

The 9 of us stayed at Villa Margarida over March to celebrate my sisters 18th Birthday, it has everything you need during your stay from the well equipped kitchen, BBQ to bedrooms. We spent hours on end in the heated pool/Jacuzzi, playing pool, Foosball and table tennis. The villa has a lot of garden space for all the family to enjoy. The location is perfect - with restaurants just a walk away and a local supermarket down the road. One of the days we took a taxi to Old Town for €8, there was a lovely beach, restaurants and bars to enjoy. The property feels very safe with the secure shutters on all windows/doors when leaving to go out in the evenings or during the nights. If you are looking to book this villa do not think twice - make sure you book it! I cannot wait to return again with my family :) thank you Joao

A very well equipped villa. Has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Even has American fridge freezer with filtered water and ice which saves carrying from shops. Great pool and hot tub. Private balcony for sunbathing. Has a real feel of luxury. Would recommend highly and will be visiting again. Ideal for families who want a relaxing holiday in privacy. Supermarket in walking distance and some local restaurants. No need for a car although we would recommend one if you want to go into albufeira a lot. There are buses though. We stayed in Joao's villa for Christmas and New Year and would recommend a stay here to anyone, it really was a fantastic villa right down to the finest detail we spent a lot of time around the villa making good use of the heated pool/jacuzzi, games room, pool table etc. We ate out a lot at the local restaurants which where a 2min walk away and ventured down to the beach on a few occasions which was a 10min walk, Albuferia was only a 20 min walk down the road with a huge choice of bars and restaurants,
I will definitely be returning to Joao's villa in the not so distant future.

We stayed in Villa Margarida as a family of 8 adults. The villa was perfect. It was very secure, accessed by a gate at the front driveway, plus shutters which could all be shut by one switch when everyone went out. There was also two safety deposit boxes. The villa was on a road, but you couldn't hear the traffic. In fact, it was very peaceful and not overlooked at all. The supermarket was a five minute walk and had everything you could need, including meat and fish for the BBQ. The walk to the beach was maybe 15 minutes, but lots of bars, restaurants and shops on the way.
The villa itself was spotlessly clean and well stocked with cutlery, glasses and crockery. The pots and pans were also spotless and the BBQ made for two delicious dinners. The facilities were excellent and we used the pool table, table tennis and table football. The bedrooms were a good size with a twin and double upstairs sharing a bathroom, plus two further ensuite doubles upstairs and one double ensuite downstairs. We had the pool heated and you could stay in it for ages without getting cold.
The only comment I could make is that it would have been nice for someone to show us around the villa when we arrived or for there to be a booklet explaining things, such as where the safety deposit boxes were, where the outside lights were and what time the timers worked, how the jacuzzi was turned on, how the main shutter worked, where to empty the bins, and where things were around and about, such as good restaurants, etc. Although we found this all out for ourselves, it would have just made things a little easier.
I would recommend this villa without hesitation and if we wanted to go back to the same area, I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

We have just returned from two weeks in the sun at this villa. We have had the best time. The villa is everything it says it will be. For us, the pool table won it for the children. They were quite happy to have tournaments on that whilst us adults sat round the pool. Everyone was happy. The restaurant next door was great (free wine vouchers!). Our favourite restaurant was Kashotes down by the sea. Very authentic and a lot of locals in there which is a good sign. The beach is about a ten minute walk. Would we go back there again - yes we would without a doubt.

I stayed at Villa Margarida over the May Bank holiday 2016 to celebrate my forthcoming wedding.
The villa is spectacular and decorated to the highest standard. There were 12 adults which is the maximum that can stay here as two had pull out beds. The photos on the site don't do the villa justice it is much more beautiful that that. The bedrooms are amazing and all comfortable to sleep in. The villa is very secure with electronic gates and a video intercom so anyone with children can relax that it's secure for them to run around and play outside in the garden.
The location is great. There's a beach within 10-15 min walk down a lot of steps but the views are amazing. There's a good size supermarket within walking distance and a lovely restaurant literally next door.
The villa is a 10 min drive to the new and old town and if you haven't hired a car the taxi service is excellent and not expensive.
Joao (owner) and Elia (maid) were wonderful. Any questions I had prior to our stay Joao responded immediately. Elia was very helpful and when we needed some help she came immediately to the villa. Overall it was a luxury stay and a wonderful way to celebrate my forthcoming wedding in style.
We're all planning another trip with our families. Thank you Joao and Elia for making our holiday one to remember.
