Great atmosphere staying in this lovely old monastery. Simple but comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good location for visiting town

Wifi and breakfast were excellent and rooms were very simple, but comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location near Kramerbrucke was amazing!
The breakfast could have been warmer, but we also could have gotten there earlier.

We booked this monastery due to its historic significance. The room was basic, bright, airy and clean. the location was good as it was just 3 minutes away to the Tram stop. The monastery is a few stops away from the Train station but the, but the Tram service was frequent. The wi-fi was good.
There was no air-conditioning, and a fan should have been provided since it was the peak of summer. The Room Check in areas and the room entrance was not marked. The google maps took us to the back gates and for first time visitors, it would have been helpful if the buildings/areas were clearly marked. We had to ask a few people before we were guided to the correct building. The tablets provided in the room appeared to have information about the monastery but when we selected the 'English' version, the German text continued to be displayed. We selected the monastery primarily to do the tour, so it would have been helpful if the building areas were marked with the numbers/titles to map to the description/numbers in the audio guide.

Internet was weak (was rejected by my security program and I was not able to connect with the internet)

Incredible historical setting. Good lockbox system for after-hours arrival.
No convenient parking. we had some trouble finding our room. It would have been helpful to have a map along with the key in the lock box.

Very good location, easy walk into city centre
Room very small.
No TV in room or in the common space
Reception closes at 4 pm

Comfy room in wonderful surroundings.Good breakfast. In the centre of the old town.
No parking available - we had to park in a distant public car park (although it seemed that some guests were allocated a space in front of the hotel, we were not offered that possibility).
Stairs up to our room could be difficult for an elderly or infirm person.

Very friendly staff, Naturally cool without air-conditioning on an extremely hot day, within easy walking distance to the beautiful old town.
Had to be able to climb steps. Many rooms were booked so we had good rooms very high up. IF there was a fire, you need to climb up a short ladder in the corridor and wait at the open very high window for the firemen to rescue you.

Well, this a real gem. If you want to get close to the spirit of Luther, this is the place! Set in picturesque Erfurt, it offers simple but more than adequate accommodation (though you do have to have a shared bathroom, at least I did). The historic monastery is wonderful, and you can relax here, pray, or find calm for meditation. Breakfast was excellent - pancakes!!!! What more can I say.
Nothing really, though I am not too keen on shared bathrooms. The monastery is a good 20 minute walk from the station, but then most of Erfurt's hotels are anyway, and the setting here is so beautiful. Taxi is not that expensive and there are buses.
