Pleasant stay

Super friendly and polite staff, breakfast included Cute garden area if you wanted drinks/a meal outside Good parking availability

When you opened the main door to the room, people outside in the communal garden area can see the whole inside of the room including into the bathroom (need to be a bit cautious!). Was a bit noisy until 11pm ish.

Clean comfortable but glad it was only one night

Very clean linen. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Good food. Tidy clean spacious room.

Even though it was clean the bathrooms were aged and old with the kind of black marks of age no scrubbing will ever get off. The bathroom was large but the shower cubicle was tiny and nowhere to put products other than the floor of the cubicle.

Perfect stay near Cambridge

Excellent location, just 4km from Cambridge and 15' walk to Grantchester meadows, with free parking. The rooms are separate from the pub, comfortable and quiet. Food at the pub is great, and the people polite and very friendly.

Wonderful!

Super nice staff, perfect service. Breakfast was excellent! We had dinner at the Inn as well, and it was lovely. Nice garden for the guests to sit in.

Poor place

Nothing to like really.

Very run down. The bed springs meant a rubbish night's sleep. Water slow so no steaming shower !!. Breakfast we had to wait 45 mins on the 2nd day and then order was wrong.

Breakfast staff were lovely. Good bus route for Cambridge centre.

Bed was uncomfortable, it dipped in the middle. We thought it was over priced.

Quant wholesome pub, rooms did what they said on the tin. Nice to have hot chocolate with the tea and coffee in the room.

Very pleasant stay as always!

Excellent location. Short distance into Cambridge by car / public transport or stunning walk into town over Grantchester Meadows. Good breakfast

The Inn itself may need a little refurbishment in places but still a very comfortable pleasant atmosphere.

Location is excellent

So cold in the bar when having breakfast. Also the interior of the Byron could do redecorating as looking at walls which are flaking with paint is not ideal. Plus in room 1 the toilet does not flush properly.

Good pub stop

Easy to find. Bedroom clean and warm and bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Home cooked food. Traditional style pub.

Had to swap an item to get an extra egg on the full breakfast. Felt it needed a little TLC. Seat covers ripped and outside a bit neglected.

Perfect for what we needed

Beautiful surroundings. The Inn is clean, warm and cosy. The staff were all friendly. The food was amazing. Breakfast was awesome- plenty of it and good quality ingredients. Will definitely be back.

Some larger towels would have been appreciated but ones that were supplied were sufficient for the task and a minor criticism.

There was something in the loft of the chalet but off putting Practical room No frills which was good for us The table was a little rickety so we didn't put much on it Cold in the evening put the bathroom heater on Garden needs tiding up

Very nice place to stay and great location depending on your need.

Breakfast was a good. Room was a good size as was the bathroom. Aircon was a bonus. Free parking onsite The rooms are away from the main pub (only a few steps) which is ideal. The pub was great and we ate there too - Food was good pub fare. Short walk from the village of Grantchester - We walked in and they were filming the new series at the church Our main intention was a visit to Royal Papworth Hospital which is about a 20 minute walk away. Can't tell you how far to the city centre but it is only two minutes from a major bus route.

Bed was a little lumpy but didn't prevent me from having a decent sleep - Spent an hour or so in the Lord Byron pub before bedtime.
