Just the best experience in every possible way!
Large elegant rooms. Amazing staff.
Fantastic location.
2.5
The location in Uppsala is great, close to the castle and the city center. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated.
The staff was really not interested in serving their clients. After a long journey, we asked for something to eat, and the answer was plain "No, not possible." We also tried to order drinks and the servant said again no, we are closed. Not very client friendly how this was presented and not at all helpful. Unfortunately, this is what we remember from our stay at the hotel. We traveled with a group and this was the general perception from all of us.

The room
That there was nothing we could eat at the hotel because afternoon tea was full and lunch was full. Think there should be space for hotel guests.

Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast! Super nice staff that were very helpful as well.
I arrived late and the door was locked. Had to call to get in, but it was very late (01:30) and a minor inconvenience.

The breakfast was great. We enjoyed the room. Bed was very comfortable.
We had a terrible time finding the hotel. Some signage where you turn would have helped. You should encourage your guests to take a taxi from the station. The google map I had printed at home wasn't great, we had a hard time getting oriented, rolling bags and cobbled sidewalks are difficult, and then the road was pretty steep. I'm not sure we would have ever found it without the help of a stranger.

Quite a small room, but modern, clean and comfortable. Can’t be more central in terms of location. Great breakfast.

Great location and breakfast. Great beds.
iPad room controls a bit confusing and outdated technology. Room key too bulky to easily carry. Shower leaked onto bathroom floor.

Very boutique hotel with lots of characters, love it all. The food was really delicious.

A really really nice boutique hotel. I have stayed there a couple of times before. The rooms are elegant and very comfortable - old world elegance with modern amenities. The staff is very friendly; food is excellent, very good selection wines. Overall highly recommended.
4.5
Comfortable spacious accommodation, and excellent breakfast.
4.0
Admittedly a very warm welcome, fantastic location, available parking, a simply amazing room.
Breakfast was extremely mediocre. Attempt to be fancy meant a long wait, minimal size portions and various problems. No cutlery or milk for coffee…easily fixable by still….at the price one pays, one expects near perfection!
3.5
The breakfast was special due to the Corona times. We had some minor stuff on the table but also got a menu and could order anything we wanted fresh made. High grades for the breakfast and service. Appreciated the service other times too. Forthcoming with helping us to get a parking with possibility to load our hybrid car, albeit this was only a car warmer 220V outlet with a 3hr limitation.
Position in town was good. A good reason for our choosing in the first place.
We strolled to the botanical gardens nearby. Lot of sites nearby. Old Uppsala not so nearby, but a nice visit for history if you have a car. Check opening times for the city centre in beforehand though.
A lot closed early on a Saturday and was closed on a Sunday. But not everything.
The suite we had selected was spacious and we liked that it had a sauna (size enough for 2 adults, on different levels, but not more than that). Also had both shower (our choice) and a bathtub (did not try, maybe a little crowded with two large adults).
The multimedia system was advanced. Too advanced. It did not work. At first we had no TV sound and later we lost the video too. The iPad based control was not too intuitive. When we tried to call the desk about the problems the room phone also failed. When we walked all the way down to the desk - these were known issues that we had not been told about, and the staff had given up on trying to fix them during our stay.
Also the Sauna lacked a manual and neither did the personnel know how it was supposed to work. Therefore it got turned off before we intended to use it requiring some plenty time to get it warm again.
When we checked out we had to outright ask for a deduction and grudgingly were given a minimal one. When I pay this much for a luxury suite over a weekend I expect everything to work and, if not, be informed and offered a compensation without discussion.
Short summary: The technology is too advanced to work well/undocumented and the personnel lacks necessary competence/support to handle it.

The scrambled eggs were amazing. The room was luxurious and the ambience of the hotel Awesome.
