Thanks to owners Paulina and Norman for making this a perfect trip away. The property was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Stairs are steep as is usual in a period property. Beautiful ensuite bedrooms on two floors, top floor - mind the beam! Woodburner and comfortable lounge furniture with large dining table , kitchen with stunning views over the garden, and very useful lobby and downstairs convenience. The swimming pool was sheer delight!. My dog enjoyed the stroll via the quiet lanes to the Cretingham Bell where we all enjoyed out tasty meals. I hope we can return soon.

Such an amazing little place for a get away and relaxation, dont let the photos decive you as this place is more beautiful than photos show. The owners Pauline and Norman are such lovley freindly people and will help in anyway possible. Both of our children loved this place and wanted to stay longer. I think the only not bad but not good thing was eventhough it says heated pool it is a bit on the cold side even after being in it a while so could do with going up a couple of degrees. I know there not meant to be baths but warmer would be better :) the surrounding of the pool is nice and warm and your able to take you own pool toys/ floaties and have access when ever you like. Theres a small tv in the sitting room but we never used it as you have a beautiful view when the log fire is lit or just relax in the garden with the wildlife around you. Thanks for such a wonderful time at your cottage we will definitely be back.

Beautiful period property with stunning views of the countryside. We enjoyed a very relaxing week here, in the comfort of spacious, well decorated rooms and we made the most of the wood burner on cooler evenings. Our teenage boys loved the private pool and we all enjoyed the garden and nearby meadow, where our puppy was able to run freely. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay, and cleaned to the highest standard. Set in a beautiful location, this peaceful property is a great base from which to explore the English countryside.

First of all, the first impression was Pauline herself who was very welcoming & showed us around the cotttage & how things worked. The Yew tree cottage is a very lovely cottage with it's own swimming pool, garden area, pond with fishes, cats running around, a swing, it's barn area, some sheep & chickens and obviously the nice owners. My kids 8 & 4 year old thoroughly loved their time whilst there especially swimming in the pool and when Pauline showed us around the lamb & the chickens. The inside of the cottage has it's original features but brilliantly modernised where you won't miss the comfort of a modern home. Overall, the owners are very nice people and caring. The cottage is superb. We had a splendid family time. I would recommend this cottage to anyone without any hesitation.

Had a great time at this property for a long weekend. Plenty to do around and about. Lovely house and very hospitable owners. Pool was a real bonus. As was the use of the surrounding fields to walk our dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
