The property was beautiful and clean. The host was incredibly helpful. They were expecting bad weather and he even walked us through their weather preparedness. Loved the bedroom AC. Great stay! Just be aware lots of steps and steep inclines leading to the property but that’s the CT experience.

Great unit, great town
We chose Riomaggiore as it was the southern most town of the Cinque Terra villages and we wanted to work our way N to S. Host met us at the train station and escorted us to the unit. It's very nicely finished and the patio overlooking the town was great relaxing spot after a long day of hiking. Only negative was the bath towels were a bit on the thin side but the bathroom is spectacular. There were no ice cube trays and we contacted the owner and they were delivered within 10 minutes. Great service! We'd def rent this unit again.

Amazing apartment!
This place was amazing! Tucked into the gorgeous hillside of Riomaggiore, and less than 10 minutes to the waterfront, train station, and hiking trails. The place was clean and had all the cooking supplies we needed to make a homemade meal one of the nights. Claudio and Roberta were very friendly and accommodating. They met us at the train and were very responsive by phone when we needed them. Plus a water view on the patio! I would 100% stay here if ever in Riomaggiore again!

Loved it !!!
Apt was exactly as shown... we were met at train station as planned and taken to apt. Location was great right in the heart of the town . Alittle noisy at night but after 1 a.m. it is totally peaceful. Lovely to have the fresh air blowing into our room . Internet was down for one day which was an inconvience . Get used to stairs!!

Excellent location in the middle of Riomaggiore
Superbly managed property. Escorted to the apartment erasing any unease of finding the property, even though we arrived later in the evening. Perfect location for exploring all Riomaggiore has to offer and minutes from the train station. Cannot recommend this property enough. Had a wonderful time. Getting home made take away and enjoying a romantic meal on the private balcony while enjoying the sites and sounds of the street below was one of our best memories.

Everything was like explained, great balcony
We enjoyed our stay and the propery was well described. We really liked the balcony and the view. It was very clean and simple and a good value for the price. Claudio suggested all good restaurants for us!
Understand it is a very physical 10-15min walk uphill and stairs like most Cinque Terre properties. Possibly a second set of keys would also have made some of our arrangements better since we were doing different things at different times sometimes.
All in all though I was very satisfied and we would come again.

Get away with your significant other
A beautiful, cozy get away in Riomaggiore, Claudio was kind enough to meet us at the station and walk us up to our vrbo. The place has central heating which is a must during the off-season. The place was clean and well kept, and central to our travels in Cinque Terre. We can imagine the streets buzzing with people during the high season, but we stayed here particularly to avoid the high season. This place is perfect for a get away for a couple to a town that is beautiful and awe-inspiring every step of the way.

Perfect location
Amazing! Perfect! Claudio is very easy to communicate with and met us at the train station. The apartment is immaculately clean with a wonderful balcony and stunning views. We stayed for 3 nights in Sept; we have been to Riomaggiore before so the steepness was not a surprise - it's how you get the views! We had no trouble with the longer way or the steps to town and we are mid 50's & mid 60's. Riomaggiore is good little spot and we definitely hope to come and stay here again. Everything we hoped for. Nice little apartment
We arrived by train to Riomaggiore and was picked as agreed by Claudio. He followed us to the apartment and gave us useful information about the apartment and the area.
The apartment is exactly as described. Well maintained and with all needed necessities. There are many stairs from the
main street up to the apartment, but it was no surprise to us. We had plans to hike some of the days in Cinque Terre. It became quite a few trips and it was great to come back to the apartment and relax. The only drawback with the apartment's location and was a surprise for us was the constant loud music and noise from the bars below the apartment. It probably should be disclosed in the description of the apartment.
Riomaggiore is a lovely town, with many day tourists, like the other towns of the Cinque Terre. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food at the restaurants we've visited in the area. In addition, the service was also rather low. We felt that most of the waiters were quite tired of serving tourists and forgetting whom helps to give them wages.! Rather disappointing and development we have not previously encountered in Italy. So instead of eating half boring food, served by annoyed waiters , we found the butcher in town and bought meat and traded into the small mini markets and made our own food in the apartment. The butcher has a small selection but good quality meat and he is very nice and helpful. Much better food at half the price. Normally we do not bother to cook in our holiday, but with the disappointments in restaurants and cafes, it was the solution for us.
With the above in mind, we can definitely recommend the apartment, but if we are going back a second time, we will probably choose outside high summer, where there may be a little less noise in the street, since it after a week was quite stressful and as mentioned earlier, not what we expected for the area, when we thought the visitors were primarily walkers. In this direction, we could just as well have been at Sunny Beach or Ibiza

Perfect. Romantic. Best views!
My husband and I stayed here on our anniversary trip.
Pictures are accurate and description as well.
We loved watching the sun go down from the balcony.
Apartment is in the same town as the picturesque harbor view that is so famous. I woke up early one morning to walk to the marina and snapped the perfect shot with no other tourist in site!
Cinque Terre is all hills and stairs. Almost every step you take is either up hill or down. We knew this and had no issues.
There are two ways to the apartment. Hill climb up or stair climb up. Personally the stairs right from the market area up was faster and easier in my opinion. Claudio was wonderful and honest in all dealings.
My husband does want me to point out that if you drive as we did get the private parking if you are able. " street parking" means parking your car ( if there is a spot) on the side of the mountain as you come into town.
We parked in the garage while we unloaded the car then drove back up to find a spot for the week. We lucked out and did. About a 20-30 minute climb up fo a semi in shape person. We did not feel inconvenienced at all since we did not need the car all week.
There is no Tv or microwave. Neither of which did we miss at all!
Bed was confront able and the towels were nice and big.
Hustle and bustle of town begins around 0630-0700. I loved watching the town coming alive!
We would stay here again in a heart beat and would recommend this place to anyone!

Adequate bed, bathroom and kitchenette, nothing more, for those that enjoy stair climbing.
We arrived Monday, May 16th 2016 and were booked for 3 nights. Claudio met us at the station and we walked 10 minutes to the apartment. As shown in the pictures, it has a deck, a bathroom, a very small kitchen and a hallway with a small table and 3 chairs.
The walk down to the village involves a series of very steep steps. The first series of steps involves entering a locked door and passing through a building of other apartments. It is dark and we did finally discover a light switch after mistakenly ringing the doorbells of the other apartments. It would have been helpful to know the location of the light switch.
There is a school directly above and behind the "apartment" on the hillside and we returned from dinner the first night to the sounds of the school band practicing. This very loud practicing went on until 11:00 p.m. We emailed Claudio about the noise but he never responded.
There is also quite a bit of noise coming up from the village street. The doors to the deck shut out some of the noise but it was quite noisy until about midnight both of the nights we were there.
This is an adequate "apartment" for an active couple that doesn't mind climbing stairs. We left a day early.

The perfect location for a trip to Italy
Claudio was wonderful he met us at the parking area and walked us to the Arancio. a brief walk through town up some hills and through some back streets, and Claudio giving greetings to all the locals residents we finally reached the Arancio. once we were in it was perfect, already was in Europe for 11 days and stayed in little hotels this place was huge and very clean decorated and updated. Had a full kitchen, and bath very nice. the location perched on the upper level of the town does take a lot of stair climbing to get to it. access to the unit is in the middle of the town PERFECT. My experience with Arancio was money well spent, I recommend this apt to all who visit. Stay for more than two nights try four nights.

The perfect location!
We stayed at the Arancio in May 2015 and we had an amazing time. The only problem was that we could not stay longer. Riomaggiore is the best of the 5 villages in our opinion, and we visited all of them. You can't go wrong with the Arancio, it is comfortable, clean and very close to the train station and restaurants downstairs.
The hoster, Claudio was super nice and very informative. We totally recommend this place.
We want to return soon for a whole week!!!

Panoramic view in the heart of RioMaggiore
A centrally located top floor apartment on the main street, offering panoramic views of the entire village and out to the harbor. Perched high above the main thoroughfare of bars and restaurants with a sweeping view of RioMaggiore. Well equipped with modern updates. We had a wonderful 4 nights here! There is more to see and do in Riomaggiore than first meets the eye. This was a perfect base for us to explore the Cinque Terre, and our host Claudio was very helpful meeting us at the train and showing us the best (and most scenic) way to the apartment. This is a great place for an adventureous couple wanting to experience all that Riomaggiore has to offer.
