Recht ordentlich

Die Lage ist recht zentral, die Altstadt gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Parkplätze sind gebührenfrei vorhanden. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren gut, ein Kühlschrank ist vorhanden. Das Frühstück war sehr ordentlich, wir haben nichts vermisst. Freundliches Personal (wenn anwesend).

Während unseres Aufenthalts war das Hotel offenbar schwach besucht. Die Rezeption war nur stundenweise besetzt, eine Bar oder ein Restaurant gibt es nicht. Lediglich ein im Treppenhaus stehender Kühlschrank mit preiswerten Getränken ist vorhanden. Man kam sich irgendwie einsam vor, wenn man durch das leere Hotel ohne Personal lief. Insgesamt ist das Haus deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, insbesondere der Frühstücksraum verströmt den Charme der sechziger Jahre.

We fell in love with Goslar and the Goldene Krone

This is a classic cozy, friendly, independently-run hotel. The location inside the city walls was ideal. The host was friendly and helpful, and accommodated our request to stay an extra night. The included breakfast was smaller than what other properties might provide, but was plenty of variety for us. If you're looking for a sleek and modern hotel, this is not it- the crooked floors are a part of the charm of staying in a historic property. We stayed in a small 1-bedroom apartment with plenty of room for our family to relax and even prepare meals. There are grocery stores nearby, or plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The free parking was helpful!

The construction at the gate made it tricky to get in and out of the city, but this not the fault of the hotel, and in fact they advised us and provided a map prior to arrival.

overall a very nice place and I would recommend and stay again

modern and clean rooms . The bathroom was a good size and updated. staff was friendly

This was only very minor! The breakfast selection was a little limited compared to other places I have stayed but the employee made fresh eggs and rolls for me when I asked in a super fast manner. I would not deduct any „points“ for that though because I did not leave hungry.

Really friendly place. Lovely variety for breakfast. Really large room and very close to the centre of town, just over 5 minutes walk. Also within walking distance from the train station.

A wonderful stay in a historical building and city - at a very reasonable pricing

Atmosphere, historical building/surroundings and breakfast

The matresses were very hard and the 2 available pillows were very big respectively very small - a medium would have been a better choice in our opinion. Be aware of parring areas are quite small/limited space if you have a bigger car

A solid choice

Well located a 5-10 min walk from the main square inside the old city wall. Friendly staff. Limited cleaning due to some pandemic resteicrions still in place. Good breakfast. Convenient parking available.

Buffet breakfast is nice. Location is within walking distance to city center. Quiet street.

Comfortable with a great breakfast

Great breakfast, decent coffee all in a wonderful baronial hall. Rooms were warm, clean, tidy and well lit. Nice honesty box system for beers and cold drinks.

Wish there were tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. Would love to see a restaurant/bar here (the room downstairs looks designed for it), more flexible check in/check out time

Friendly service, lovely breakfast, beautiful hotel.

Breakfast was lovely, service was lovely -- the hotel owner was friendly, accommodating and helped us with everything, even with a very late check-in and help with Corona rules. Delightful hotel, would stay here again if in Goslar.

Small historical hotel with local farmer's breakfast.

A small hotel located just inside the old town wall. Everything within walking distance. You also get a free tourist card to use buses even to close by towns. Free parking in the yard. It is a historical building, with small rooms - but they are top modern (including a nice bathroom) and have everything you need. Reading lamps by each bed, fridge, enough electrical outlets, good wifi. But the best of all is the breakfast buffet, made up from local products. Wonderful cheese and eggs come from a local farm. So do meat products and fresh bread from a real bakery. Very good coffee and tea choice. And much more. The breakfast made our stay really special and was included in the room price. On arrival, the host spotted our car on the street and came to greet us. He is very helpful and service minded.

Everything was perfect, but a kettle in the room would have been nice.
