This is a kooky hotel! Beautiful courtyards with lots of sitting areas amongst the flowering plants. The rooms are all different, comfortable and very attractive. The staff are very helpful. It was lovely coming in summer, now I’d like to return in a cooler month to use the fireplace in the room! Plenty of wardrobe / shelving space. Nice little pool and decking area.
Our bathroom only had a hand-held shower attachment in the bath: a stand-up shower above the bath would have been more useful.
Our second, more basic room didn’t have an air conditioning unit (not a problem for us as it was not a very hot week!) or a coffee machine.

The hotel had a boutique style feel. The hairdryer was outstanding and the toiletries really handy.
That it was over €200 a night and whilst we didn’t require it (as the weather wasn’t great) had jt have been over 25 degrees I would have liked air conditioning. The room configuration was also slightly odd with a wardrobe only for super tall people located behind the bed.

Beautiful old hotel in Ars-en-re. Tranquil. Good breakfast. Well located to explore Ile de Re.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom a little basic in the standard room we were in (although others looked a lot better fitted out) - we had just a shower head over the bath.

Charming period property with all modern amenities, stylish interior with some fabulous quirky touches.
Staff were very helpful making dinner reservations and organising cycle hire.

It is more charming than photos can capture! It’s centrally located, really clean and the staff is so nice and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again.
Our bathroom didn’t have a shower head - just a tub with a wand.

Loved all the little extras that made it feel like a quaint bed and breakfast. Many sweet/beautiful places to sit amd relax, tea/coffee in the evening. Breakfast was delicious!
The room got warm at night. We were on the first floor and didn't feel comfortable sleeping with the window open, so it got stuffy. Similarly, we closed the windows when we were away from the room for security purposes and the room would be stuffy when we got back.

Fabulous, quirky, beautiful, stylish with lovely seating areas and exceptionally helpful and welcoming staff.
The room was on the small side and not the same as we had booked but still very pretty. No bar.

the villa was beautiful and a little glimpse into living the French life . we enjoyed the independence and comfort it gave us and especially the privacy of the sunny garden and heated pool. Alex was a joy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble.

beautiful, delicious breakfast, super nice staff. amazing location.
room is very small for the price, and very noisy. the rooms are not well insulated so we can hear everything going on in the hallway and other rooms.

Location was good between the port and beach. The ambience and presentation of the hotel are good. The staff were very helpful and informative.
Our room was at the front of the hotel so there was alot of noise from pedestrians walking past. The bathroom was basic with no stand up shower.

The staff was so helpful and kind and breakfast was excellent. the room was breezy since we could open our windows. Beautiful styling of the room. restful. The swimming pool is small but refreshes.
The closest beach was not as I expected, rocky and seaweed awashed.

An absolutely charming hotel in the heart of probably the prettiest village on the island. Service was extremely warm and friendly, the rooms are breezy, comfortable and characterful, and breakfast in the garden was a delight.

Good location, nice design.
Room was a converted cellar so very damp and humid, jute carpet is uncomfortable to walk on, poorly laid-out bathroom.

Perfect location for this super cute hotel. The staff was so nice and friendly, the breakfast is really good, the courtyard and the swimming pool are so lovely. The village is very quiet, a perfect spot to stay and discover l’Ile de Ré!
The bed is could be a bit more comfy but it’s really a tiny little thing compare with all the good things we think about this place.
