The rooms were clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the jetty to cross the river or 15 mins by car. Matnor, the owner, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout the stay, he really made us feel at home! Having the use of a washing machine was also very much appreciated.
Close to mosque so could be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper (might need to bring earplugs).

The room is okey, small but serve the purpose, has all basic amenities, good for short stay
The location is a bit in the village area, so it took quite some time to get Grab.

Very friendly and helpful owner.
Nice house with garden, table outside, water ....
The boat to the other side of the river stops at 6 p. m. Grab has to make big round (because of Astana) so it costs more. Walking to the bridge takes too long (because of Astana).
If I knew that before I would probably not book this property.

Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was basic but comfortable, private and clean with aircon. Good value for money. Good location in a residential neighborhood (a short walk to a boat which can take you across the river to the waterfront/busy area in the city in a few minutes - you have to take a taxi back after 6pm as the boat doesn't run after then)

The owner greeted us with open arms and could not do enough to assist us with any needs we may have needed. He lent a bicial to me so that I could ride to the local pharmacy to get medication. The room is basic but all in all it has everything needed for a budget stay.
The city is on the otherside of the river, so you need to catch a river boat across. cost 1RP per person. stops at 6 PM.
When arriving I had to walk to 3 different homes to find the right house. all 3 have the same street number except for A, B, C and a seperate gate for the guest house. The drivers don't know and so they just drop you off when they see the number. But all is good in the end.

The host Matnor is great. He is super responsive in terms of communication and left us breakfast outside our room twice and offered us breakfast a third time. He also let us keep our bags at the guesthouse while we went on an overnight trip.
The room itself is functional and clean with a comfortable bed. Most rooms look out onto a garden area with tables and chairs outside so nice for enjoying breakfast al fresco. I believe there is also a washing machine and a basic food preparation area. Free water is also provided.
The guesthouse is located on the other side of the river to most of the sights. This wasn't a problem for us as there is a ferry service between 6am-6pm which is very cheap. We booked grab taxis after 6pm.

The location is good, in a kampung setting in Kuching City. There's easy access by boat (cost RM1 only) across the Sarawak river to Kuching waterfront. The owner Encik Matnor is very friendly, helpful and he gave us delicious homemade popiah for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it.

Matnor is an excellent host and is happy to help you in anyway he can. We enjoyed staying in the Malay Kampong as an alternative to the City Centre. People were friendly and an easy boat ride across the Sarawak River to the centre. Highly recommend. Andrew and Kerry

Friendly and helpful owner. Little extras like a shared washing machine and kitchen area. Great value for money. Set in an authentic Kuching kampung.
Not a problem for us, but be aware that this is a village setting, so expect to hear the mosque and a little traffic noise.

It's a spacious and clean room. You can use kitchen facilities and the washing machine which is great.
It is located in a village just north of Kuching, so if you like local experiences this is for you; if you don't like quite places then you should go for the city center.
You can reach the center easily by walking and ferry (from 6am to 6pm, for 1rm)

It's a very nice place with a big room. We booked the room for 3 persons, but we're just with 2 so we had a lot of space. We were welcomed with fresh watermelon. The owner gave us his number, so we could text him when we needed something.
The location is good, it's just a 2 minute walk to the river which you have to cross to go to the center. To cross, it costs just 1RM pp.
The boiler didn't work, so there was no hot water.

I like the host (Encik Matnor). He was very friendly. He served us breakfast on several occasions and he attended to most of our requests.
The mattress was rather saggy.

The rate is very cheap (in terms of the the facilities that you will get) and clean compare to others. Very suitable for all types of travel. Nice place to stay, not so crowded. The owner is very kind, gave me kuih for breakfast and can pay at anytime you want. Thank you Pakcik & In Shaa Allah will come here again.
