Great location
Tired and in need of a serious refresh

The bathroom was spectacular, polished concrete made the bathroom a wetroom
The delapidateion of buidling structure and neglect for gardens pool areas and facilities. Its looks like a ghost town.

Funky yurt-like villas
Swimming pool
Beach front location
Friendly reception staff
We stayed here years ago and loved it.. I then read the recent reviews and thought, can it really have got that bad? Unfortunately, yes.
The lack of electricity is well publicised, but it needs sorting. I thought that having no power from 2am to 7am wouldn't be an issue, but it's hard going. As soon as the AC cuts off, the villa becomes extremely hot and uncomfortable. The noise of it going off wakes you up, which makes it worse. A battery operated fan would help as that would keep the air moving.
It seems covid has hit the place hard. It really does look abandoned, the inside of the villas are passable but outside is grim. The lack of gardener means falling coconuts smash down on the roof tops causing damage and making a lot of noise.
The trouble is, the price is still fairly high for what you're not getting - a reasonable supply of electricity, food service, and all stuff you would normally expect at this price point.
Either slash the prices, get more guests and use some of the baht to refurbish, or demolish it and start again. If it keeps going as it is, the latter will happen naturally though.

Location was great. I'm sure it use to be an amazing place. No maintenance being done. Falling apart
Power turns off at 2 in the morning. Which means no air con. In 30 plus degrees.
Reception lies about times for the generator.
All over experience I suggest no one goes there until new ownership or renovations have been done.

Big & nice rooms
Electric turned off from 12-6. No mention of this when I booked. No staff around almost ever. Very dark, if someone was to have an accident because of this, no staff would be around so dangerous. Also no mention that customers who are visiting for the full moon party would have to get a boat there making this not an ideal location if this is why you are visiting

Haad yuan is fantastic
the hotel hasn’t been looked after during COVID and now the facilities are is in quite poor condition

Swimming pool and was close to the sea
Was far away from any decent shop
Had to get there and back via taxi boat
No WiFi
No electric for most of the day
No access to hot running water
Unable to leave due to rough sea
3.5
friendly staff
nice beach and pool area
some facilities looked unmaintained / shut
the long tail boat journey was horrific (best way to get to property)
the jungle taxi was also not good (alternative way to property)
the journeys to the property cost a lot

The staff was actually attentive and gave us our money back.
First of all, the place is remote and can only be reached by fishing boat in rough seas.
The electricity in the hotel is cut off during part of the day, there were also insects in the bathroom.
We had to take a boat again in rough seas back to Had Rin

scenery
smells of damp

The stay was everything I imagined it to be!! If you like tranquillity this is the place to stay with it's own private beach & great food available nearby a stones throw away from the hotel
1.5
nothing
where to begin, the resort is completely run down and falling apart. the location is out of the way from the island when we went to full moon party, the longboats cost alot of money and they scam tourists these should be included with hotel. staff unwelcoming and room was not ready on time even though we were late for checking in due to a delayed flight.
1.5
The compound is in distance location and there's no reception and in the room You don't have Wi-Fi also they're shutting all of the electricity at 2 AM which means no air-conditioning and no lights and of course no Wi-Fi very poor experience no hot water at the shower

This hotel is way behind its glory days. Hopefully things go back now that Thailand is recovering slowly post Covid
No electricity past 2 am
1.5
Adjacent to nice beach, nearby bars and restaurants
view from the pool was nice
Rooms are big (or they look big because there is shockingly little in them)
Hotel only had electricity for half the day, no electricity between 2am - 6am and 12pm - 6pm
Intermittent power cuts outside of these times too
Very run down
No signage to direct to your room, infact there's no signage for the hotel when you arrive, you wont see the word Pariya written anywhere or even see a logo so you know its the right place as you drag your bags across the beach towards it
Literally no amenities other than the pool and a library which is their name for a shack full of old broken chairs
Hard to get boat transport to other areas, usually they will want 6 people per boat and 300 baht each way
Loud nightclub next door
No hot water, barely any water at all
Originally suckered in by the nice bathtub but there is no hot water and it would take honestly 12 hours to fill it up, and you wouldnt because its filthy
Bathroom infested with ants
There was a near constant loud electrical whining noise coming from the top of the cabin
No housekeeping attempted for the 3 days i was there
DO NOT PAY OVER $30 AUD PER NIGHT TO STAY HERE OR YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED
3.0
location, quiet and peaceful bay
electricity situation, but understandable given the isolated location
2.0
Location and big room nice swimming pool
cockroaches inside the room

The scheduled electricity outage was inconvenient. Electricity only from 6:30 pm to 2 am was not very useful for sleeping

We arrived at the hotel, left our things and went out for the day. When we got back (after 22.00) our clothes we’re full of ants (I have a video).. and we saw there is an ant nest inside the table. Further more, the room was very very dirty. The floor was dirty, the bathtub was full of dirt and so on. We only got to our room late so we went to sleep, but if we could we would not have stayed the night. Also, on booking the room says it has air conditioning and that the hotel shuts down electricity from 13-16. Although in reality the hotel also shut down electricity from 12.00 am to 8.00 am so there was mo electricity. We are in Thailand.. it’s not really possible sleeping without aircon/ fan. And seeing that there is no electricity, we could not even have the windows open for air because there is no protection from bugs (and we are in the middle of the jungle). Also no hot water. We woke up and went to reception, requesting a full refund and making it clear we will not stay a further night as we booked. The hotel would only refund us for the second night in which we did not stay. We are requesting a full refund for the first night which was as described above - pretty horrible. Please could you assist us.

they stopped to serve breakfast because of Covid and lack of people.

Haad Yuan beach, wish is magical isolated beach only reached by long tale boats
Due to low business, the hotel really bad conditions only 5 very friendly staff there to maintain huge facility, the electricity doesn’t work all day or all night, it cuts off after works only from 8 am to 11 am and closes again from 11 pm till 8 am

the building of the house is good and big location , just a pity it’s not in good service
It feels like we stayed at a resort that’s already been shut down. there is no wifi , no electricity, kitchen closed, not like a operational business at all.
