Nice place. Good pool. Great breakfast and restaurant. Plenty of parking and could easily fit our van. Close to LDS Temple.
The water pressure for shower, faucets and toilets kept fluctuating from ok to barely a trickle. Happened several times.

La facilidad de comunicación con el personal, pude dejar mis maletas en la recepción mientras trabajaba en las instalaciones a pesar de que llegué mucho antes de la hora de ingreso. El día de la salida pude volver a dejar mis maletas en el hotel hasta la tarde que me llevaron al aeropuerto. Tienen el servicio de traslado al aeropuerto gratuito. La comida y atención del restaurante también fue muy buena.
La tv no pude encenderla, no es que me hiciera falta pero es lo único que falló durante la estancia.

Great Airport hotel, with super easy free airport shuttle. On site facilities, including Swimming pool, even down to supplying pool towels from reception, various guest seating, both indoor and outdoor. Quality restaurant with friendly staff and really good food and service.
One very minor issue, there is no covered route to the restaurant from the hotel rooms.

The images don't show how much of a gem this place is. The restaurant staff made sure we had something to eat even though we arrived past restaurant hours. Lisa and Alejandra and Gonzalo had great humour and kindness. The shuttle to and from the airport was easy and quick. The breakfast included is lovely. The wood-fire pizzas are to die for. There is a super delicious pastry and wine shop within the hotel and an supermercado steps away. Rooms are quiet. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are excellent. Exotic flowers are everywhere. There was a large mango tree full of fruit right outside our window. We thought this was a place to crash for the first and last night and it turned out to feel like a destination in itself.

We have stayed here many times and we highly recommend it to our friends and acquaintances.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of dogs barking at house next door. This was not the hotels fault and we had never experienced it before when staying there.

The location is close to the airport so worked out perfectly at the beginning and end of our trip as we arrived late and had an early departure. The breakfast which is included was delicious and the on site restaurant has great food. A little oasis in San Jose with the courtyard pool. And a grocery store located conveniently across the street to grab snacks and beer!
The only negative is that we were a group of 11 and the complimentary airport shuttle only seats 8 so we had to pay for a taxi. Not a big deal, just a bit of a nuisance.

Good proximity to the airport, great restaurant, excellent shuttle service to the airport, since I had to leave early they made take out coffee and some fruit!
Room lightning seemed a bit dark, since I stayed on the first floor I did not feel too comfortable to leave my curtains open, as some people were hanging around the pool area.

It’s close from and to the airport and the shuttle service is always available, no matter the time.
It’s a really good option if you’re looking to stay for a night close to the airport before or after traveling.
If you get a room on the backside of the hotel it can get noisy due to cars, but by night time you couldn’t hear a sound. 😌

Property was clean and staff was excellent. incredible customer service.
They picked us up from the airport at midnight! then safely brought us to the hotel and brought our bags to the room. Room comes with a fresh bottle of water.
Breakfast was decent, they give great options and again customer service was amazing.
There is major construction that started at 6am! you can’t avoid it no matter where you are placed.
Our double queen room was quite cramped with all our luggage but we were cozy and it was clean.

The distance from airport is convenient and the complimentary shuttle service is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
When we arrived, I went to the bathroom and there was human hair (someone else's hair) around the bathroom sink and many dead black insects around the hand soap bottle. The bathroom sink wasn't properly cleaned (forgotten about?) which made me worried the entire bathroom (toilet and shower) wasn't properly cleaned / disinfected - very concerning.
We were in a rush to eat dinner so quickly left and when we came back to settle into bed, we discovered many brown and black stains on all 3 pillow cases and on the bed sheets and when I lifted the sheets to look further, there was human hair (someone else's hair) in between the sheets. When we notified the staff, they immediately changed the bed sheets (thank you), but this should not have happened - clearly the bed was not properly changed/cleaned after the previous guest.
As we were finally settling into the newly cleaned bed after a long day of travel, we were alarmed by the very loud sound of numerous guests walking up and down the outside metal/steel stairs and walkway and dragging their luggage (right outside our bedroom window and above us). These are the main stairs and walkway for guests to access the second floor and guests were using them after 10 PM and at 4:30 AM (we did not sleep well). These metal stairs/walkway are very loud and any room beside them will be disturbed.
Lastly, the next morning of our departure back to the airport, it was disappointing to discover the express coffee provided in the rooms is a $3 charge and the complimentary breakfast isn't available until 7 AM. As a hotel that primarily services guests who are flying to and from SJO very late in the night and early in the morning (before 7 AM), at minimum, the express coffee in the room should be complimentary (1 per person) like many hotels provide (I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't provide complimentary room coffee).

Everyone at La Riveriera was FANTASTIC! Shuttle from the airport, the friendly and accommodating staff, clean and comfortable room and absolutely delicious breakfast! Beautiful property as well. 10/10 Totally recommend this place!

Handy free airport shuttle with a friendly driver. Good restaurant open all day. Gated entry with a security guard. Pleasant grounds and lounges, small swimming pool, quiet location. Bedroom upgrade was good. V high vaulted ceiling, full of character ,tucked away with a private lounge area outside.
Bedroom by the pool was much in need of updating . Dark and sparse, but in a good position.

The proximity to the airport was great. It was far enough away that you did not hear major air traffic (you do hear some) but also close enough that it is a quick ride to and from. The provided airport transportation and the transportation to the rental car facility.
The restaurant on property was fantastic. The food was really good with a range of options from traditional Costa Rican meals to simple classics.
The property is very responsive through the Booking messenger and Whatsapp.
This is not as much of something I didn't like, but more of a setting of expectations. The rooms are not highly decorated like you might find in other places. The rooms are simple in decoration, but I found that to be consistent throughout my time in Costa Rica. It did not bother me, but if you are not expecting it you might not like it.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, well maintained, and very lush. The views are nice since the hotel is on a hill. I was impressed by their greenhouse, and the pool area was very quiet. We spent one night here before our flight home after 8 days in Jaco. We walked to eat about 1 mile away in the Belen neighborhood and it is a very lovely area. Their staff were all super friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle was perfect!
The room was adequate. I thought the bathroom was spacious and had nice decor but the shower head had a weird flow. Our bedsheets had a stain.
