A beautiful complex in a wonderful natural setting with very friendly and uncomplicated hosts. We really enjoyed our holiday and can recommend the accommodation 100%.

If you want quit and/or secluded thats the place to go.
Lovely gardens. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold
with a lot of wind. That made sitting and anjoying the ouside problematic. We went out with the car a lot to visit like Mousehole and stIves etc..
We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Driving on the narrow roads was quite a challenge.

The week at Jeremy's cottage was great. The house was very clean and well furnished. The garden is huge and beautiful. The location is extremely quiet. We will definitely be back when we are in Cornwall again.

We’ve rented this property for 7 nights. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, picturesque garden and a cozy little home with very clean rooms and bathrooms. Jeremy has been very accommodating, and it’s very hard to think of things to complain about. We will definitely think of this hideaway again if we want to have another holiday in St Ives.

A lovely unexpected cream tea awaited us on arrival, with ample milk for a well earned cuppa after travelling.
Peaceful and calm setting, the grounds are lovely to have a walk about.
Off the beaten track, so no noisy neighbours.
Slight critique, personal preference would of liked more plumed up pillows (they were a tad flat, and double mattress on the firm side) slept OK however and would highly recommend.
Ideal spot for reading, writing or painting, thank you to G & J for sharing your lovely Cornwall plot, oh and not forgetting the beautiful Blue hydrangeas. Xx

Another Wonderful Holiday, Thank you
Our 3rd consecutive stay, The Hideaway Cottage was very clean, had everything we needed, comfortable bed, lovely shower and the new sofa and chair were very comfy too. The grounds were as amazing as ever, we spent more time there than anywhere else, the wildlife is amazing. Jill and Jeremy are perfect hosts, lovely welcome, cream tea waiting for us too and they also made recommendations of where to visit. I would highly recommend staying here.

Canadians More than Pleased
It greatly suited our needs as we were planning many short trips to attractions in the area. It was easy to access but at the same time gave a place of total peace and quiet. Our host supported and assisted us in every way. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Nice cosy cottage in quiet location
Cosy cottage in secluded quiet location just a few miles from St Ives. Cornish Cream Tea on arrival was very welcome. As others have mentioned there is limited storage in the cottage especially for clothes. The lounge furniture has also been changed recently and unfortunately is quite uncomfortable.

Maybe harsh but true
Firstly beware! What you see is NOT what you get! The photos are really old and do not reflect the property NOW!
This review will be truthful and therefore somewhat harsh.
The location of Hideaway Cottage is stunning and it has so much potential which according to the old photos was once fully reached. However, sadly it has now become run down, very tired and unkempt!
I will begin with the positive. We stayed in October when the weather was not good but there was plenty of hot water and the heating was efficient and lovely to return to on a cold Autumn day. The double bed was very comfortable and the showers worked well. Dining area was comfortable and the Kitchen generally good. The host was helpful and friendly and answered requests promptly. Crockery, cutlery and glass were acceptable but could do with a couple of proper wine glasses (only 50p!) The tv is ok but really needs updating as the colour was poor. Plenty of DVDs and games. There was a nice cream tea on arrival and fresh roses, much appreciated. The grounds are stunning although rather let go, such a shame. But it was Autumn so this may be different in Spring.
REALLY NEEDING ATTENTION
The bed linen was awful, it had been washed but the pillowcases were stained brown with use and other stains on the duvet covers Pillows were poor quality and uncomfortable. The twin beds were really uncomfortable and we had to ask for a duvet to soften the surface a little. One of the worst things was the sofa and chairs in the lounge! Firstly they were NOT the comfortable suite shown in the photos but small hard leather or plastic ones that were back breaking after a few minutes. I will try to attached photo, not even a 10 year old could stretch out on the sofa. We had to get a sun lounger in from the garden for my son to comfortably watch a movie. There are no wardrobes or drawers to put clothing in. There is plenty of space to put substantial three drawer bedside cabinets to facilitate better storage. Also a wardrobe could be fitted in in the hallway next to the shelves! The twin room seemed very damp in the bedside cabinets and there is an ugly dirty area around the toilet, probably indicating a slow leak from the toilet. Kitchen was ok but some pans are very gunged on the outside, need ditching! There was no small sharp knife but when asked we were provided with one. Non of the other knives and scissors would cut butter! Both lamps in lounge were broken. Site now going to to stop me!!!

Beautiful private cottage
Lovely little quaint cottage, excellent for a quiet stay a bit spooky at night though. Had to wash all the greasy pans and utensils before use, and sanitised throughout. Thick dust under the bed and cobwebs on the light fittings but overall not a bad cottage. If you want peace and quiet I would recommend. Enjoyed the cream scones on arrival

Countryside isolation a short hop from St Ives
Looks tiny but the rooms are a good size. Both bedrooms have an ensuite with shower, which is great. Well equipped kitchen with gas oven and hob, adjustable heating and hot water. Lots of games and DVDs. Outdoor seating with fire pit. Private and cosy. Light in the day and pitch black at night. Silent except for the owls and waterfall. Bliss.

Peaceful getaway
Was generally clean but could have been a little better. Once you get used to the roads everything was a short journey away. The Hideaway suited us down to the ground our only grumble was sofas could have been more comfy but apart from that mini grumble… it was perfect.

Lovely stay
Definitely is a hideaway, you need a satnav or google maps, but a lovely setting.
Accommodation perfect for a family of four, everything you need.
Only a couple of down sides for us, no wardrobes and the sofa chairs a bit uncomfortable after a long day of exploring
Our host was very nice, the cottage is on her properties grounds but you don’t feel their presence, but i’m sure if you needed help very accommodating.
We had a great weeks holiday, Cornwall was beautiful.

Tranquil and relaxing
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hideaway.
The area was so quiet and peaceful and close by to lots of places we wanted to visit. Although it is tucked away, it was easy to find.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather so enjoyed sitting out in the lovely garden listening to the water close by.
The facilities in the property were great, everything you could possibly think of and the showers were great too!
We would definitely recommend people to stay.
The afternoon tea was a welcome treat too. Thank you

Peaceful rural settings
The property was in a perfect location to where we wanted to be. It is set in the grounds of Sweet Water Farm which is absolutely beautiful. This was the perfect holiday for de-stressing and unwinding. It's set out of the way of main roads and other holiday makers so we hardly heard any sounds apart from nature.
My only negative for this property is that is a little cramped for 4 adults and therefore lacked storage. Jill was the perfect host and left a welcome package of scones, jam, cream and milk.

We had a great stay.
Gill & Jeremy were very attentive, the location is amazing. Comfy Beds, well equipped kitchen. But if you intend to use the fire pit bring your own logs. We would love to visit Sweet Water again

Small cottage surrounded by nature
We loved our little cottage. It was very cosy and with everything we needed for our hiking holiday. The kitchen has all you can possibly need for cooking after long hikes. The beds were very comfortable. The owner is not very far away in case we needed to contact her. Thank you very much!

Cosy cottage perfect for autumn break
We stayed here over the half term break for 3 nights with our children aged 3 and 8. We had such a lovely stay. The cottage was so cosy and perfect for when we came from a wet, cold and windy walk on the beach and to dry all our clothes. The kids loved all the dvds, games, books and their bedrooms. The cottage had everything we needed plus more. We loved the location, decor and facilities and will definitely be back as it would be lovely to stay in the warmer weather. Thank you Jill

Cute, peaceful cottage near St Ives
Great stay at Towednack with my family. Gill's farm is very unique, great for kids to wander around. Useful, well equipped kitchen so you don't have to eat out all holiday and wifi to help you plan your days out. Comfy beds and en-suite in each room. Great base for a South Cornwall trip!

Lovely little cottage in quiet place in walking distance from St Ives
Lovely cottage, everything you need for a family holiday. Gillian is a wonderful host, very helpful and friendly. We stayed for a week at the end of August with our daughter (11 y.o.) and had everything we needed: 2 nice cosy bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining/sitting room (open plan). Wifi worked well. Lovely garden around the cottage with ponds, waterlilies, and lots of hydrangeas. Secluded location, but easy to get to St Ives (10 min by car, approx. 1 hour walking) and other towns nearby. Carbis beach is a wonderful place for paddle boarding and kayaking. We would wholeheartedly recommend the cottage to anyone and would happily stay there again.
